I went in at 5:30 to get my oil change even though they close at six and they would not do it. Even though they still have 30 minutes until they close. I was a returning customer because I was pretty happy with them last time but I won’t try it again. I usually work 730 until after five so it was really convenient that they were open till six but yet they refused to help me.

These guys are awesome! They can fix just about anything. I had control arms and CV joints replaced and they did a very good job. They even replaced one tire for me. It was an expensive job but I qualified for financing. Its your One stop do it all shop. I highly recommend them. The employees are very friendly.

03/16/2021: Another walk in oil change. Service was extremely fast. Again, they checked my car for other issues and I know this because I had rotated my tires manually and they still checked it. Thanks guys02/03/2021: I went here for a walk in oil change and it went smoothly. From the individual checking me in, Martin, to the individual changing my oil, Dakota, and finally the individual at the point of sale, Justin, I was very welcomed by the staff members at Midas. They will complimentary do a quick inspection of your vehicle as well and let you know what else is wrong with it. I did not ask for this service yet it was provided for free. My oil change was for a 2009 Ford Fusion for conventional oil and it came out to be less that $25! This is one of the best places to go for an oil change and it will be quick.

Turned me down for inspection because they claimed my front windows were tinted too dark. Went to tint shop and tested 30 percent. Wish they would have tested before turning me down.

I had an emergency car issue and called to see if they could look at it. And they got me in as soon as I walked through the door. (IM SURE THAT DOES DEPEND ON HOW BUSY THEY ARE AT THE MOMENT).They fixed my problem extremely fast and efficiently. The man was very kind and understanding.

Sent my wife there for an oil change and they said had a leak, two days later started the car and heard clicking. Turned off car and checked oil, but there wasnt any! Called them and they said it was because of the leak.... Filled the car with oil, and two months later, still full of oil!! Be careful they will rip you off!!

My oil change was done in a timely manner in saying that, I asked for them to look into the tire light, and told me they could only add air. Which was what I needed. The only added to 2 tires and not the required air pressure. Of course the light would remain on. I notice on my inspection slip that I required wipers but the issue was not brought up while I was there, when I could have fixed them. I will no longer be coming back the service has gone down.

Third time here today. First they had the wrong engine size which has a different oil capacity a variance of .9 quarts which will put my car at risk for blown oil seals. When asked the service advisor was unconcerned. No washer fluid refill with oil change (which I asked for specifically) Did not reset oil change light. Did not reset check engine light which was previously discussed between myself and general manager. Service advisor and tech combative when called out on their poor job to the point that the tech refused to reset the oil service light or clear the codes. My inspection report form is completely blank. The mileage on my receipt is 4,000 miles off. I have no doubt that nothing was checked. Justin refused to call the general manager that I had just spoken to. Total time spent at midas almost 2 hours. All around disappointing visit need less to say, I will not be returning.

I came over for ac check on 10/26. Technician checked and told that shredder valve only need to be replaced and they did ac recharge and charged me 207 dollars and i have been told there is 90 days warranty. After 10 days it stopped working. I checked low pressure valve reading and it was close to green. I visited on 11/11 and they say found leak in main valve of compressor but there is no visible leak which i know i replaced that compressor last month only. Now low pressure is reading almost 0 looks like they dumped all free on that I paid for. Front desk guy was claiming that ac recharge was done months before - he was very rude.

Guy at the counter was really nice and professional. His staff was very professional as well.

Charged me 1100 dollars for a catalytic converter and then told me it was a transmission problem. No refund.

Midas worked on my mustang and when i picked it up I had a dent in it and my previous problem came back even after taking it back up there. Use to go to midas often but just isnt reliable anymore.

My issue is I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and rotation per coupon tire rotation did not happen oil was spilled everywhere. They did not tell me they had spilled oiled (puddle at the bottom of car) and my car was smoking. Had someone alarmed me I would not have been in a bit of a panic... customer service is terrible smh communicate with the customer and did not give me the coupon discount or honor it period

Open for business, no appointment necessary. I walked in at about 8:30 and was done by 9. Coupons are available for different services online most of the time. There is coffee in the waiting room and there is a lot of seating.

Rip-off artists. You can bring your car for an oil change, but dont bring for anything more complicated. There is one good mechanic there, the rest have no idea what they are doing. You will be coming back again and again, forcing them to redo the poor job they did initially. And they are also expensive.

Extremely disappointed by this seedy business and regret trusting my car to Midas. Most people dont get auto repairs very often and they take advantage of that fact. Midas will squeeze every dime possible and laugh behind your back. Its nothing but a game to see how much they can charge. Especially during a Pandemic when they know you dont want to shop around. Moreover, this place was not clean and did not practice safety measures. If you like to pay double go to Midas and bend over. They will be happy to screw you deep and hard. Instead, go to a reputable business like Proctor Auto.

The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 us because I hate it when I go for JUST an oil change and tell them thats all I can afford they STILL brought me something that needs to be fixed (cabin filters), but alas I had forgotten about it and for the filters replaced soon after. Had to have some work done on my company van. The gentleman at the desk was very polite and helpful. Ended up having to get the compressor replaced but they did everything to work with our fleet management people and made it painless for me. They were pretty quick too

I was told oil change would be $34.99. Final bill $47.06 (parts fee, labor fee and tax added to bill.) I wish they would have told me it was going to be more than $34.99 I would have done it myself.The guy at the counter was helpful because I had a coupon for $24.99 oil change but he told me that the car took synthetic blend . He used the same coupon. At least I didnt have to go print another coupon for synthetic blend oil change.

Took it in for a CEL and a sound coming from the the belts, I knew it was an AC belt which they replaced, they only cleared the CEL after tightening a clamp that was loose but the CEL came back on a few days later for the same problem.

So we have always gone to Midas and never a problem. Well, my bearings went out so we took it there to Midas and paid $320. Then my AC went out we went back to Midas and paid $184. Then we tried to leave town today for our vacation. Car died in Haskell. Turned around made it back to Abilene. They say it needs a tune-up, spark plugs, wires, etc. So I pay ANOTHER $457. Pick my car up they say its running like a champ. We wont have any more problems and we can drive out of town no problems. Now my car is stuck on the side of the road. We didnt even make it out of Abilene. Cant even make it home! And it happens 5 minutes after they close! Im beyond disappointed in Midas. I cant believe they let me down after all this business and me being a regular customer. I just hope they can fix this problem for me. Because Ive always recommended Midas. Until now.

Came in for vibration in my steering wheel. Tech took my truck on on the road and then put it on the lift. He told me my ball joints were bad but I Didn’t believe that was the problem so I left. Around 30 miles down the road my transfer case blew apart. Gave them a 3 Star on account they were pretty nice and quick. Unfortunately I feel they might have been a little too quick and misdiagnosed my problem. Not sure if they could have fixed what was wrong seeing as I my transfer case is in pieces. My guess is the fluid in the case got hot and I threw a baring or something but that’s purely speculation. Take this review for what you think it’s worth. Maybe I have bad luck, maybe they don’t know their stuff. I’ll personally only use them if I know exactly what I need done.

Oil change service tools hours, yes plural. Found that they broke the mount for the oil filter because of their use of air tools. The good news is the oil they put in, is oil and worked. The bad news is, I have plenty of repairs that need to happen now. Do not bring your vehicle here.

I was highly disappointed with this place i went in thinking i was going to save money on my oil change since i had a coupon for $18.99 conventional oil change which i specifically told them i wanted. When everything was said and done with i ended up paying the full price which was $60.00.. I then asked him why it was so much because i had the coupon he said yea its $20.00 off full synthetic. I didnt want to argue with the guy so i just payed what he said i owed him for the job. I then looked at my receipt when i got home and he didnt even bother to take the $20.00 off... I will never go back to this place ever again. I feel like he knew exactly what he was doing and I hope and pray it doesnt happen to anyone else and they dont go in there not having enough money to pay for their special.

Place tried to sell me brakes stating they were about ready to fall off, had a friend check out my brakes there barely worn. I would rather go someone else for oil change next time

Unprofessional, car started running hot once I left from getting a simple oil change. Got home and noticed they had completely drained all my antifreeze and didnt top off any of my fluids. Never experienced such unprofessional immaturity before WILL NOT BE GOING BACK EVER.

DO NOT GO HERESince closing time stated at 530pm on Midas’ website, I went in at 430pm and the shop was pretty empty, no customer was there.Asked the one of the mechanics if he had time to do an oil change for me. He replied, “Oh, let me see what the guys are doing”. Let me remind you, no customers were there, the crew was just hanging out from what I saw. He glanced over the glass to the shop and said to me “well, you’re gonna have to come back another time because an oil change is going to take at least 45min and we are about to close”First of all, I have never had a shop takes over 20min to do an oil change for meSecond, excellent work attitude Midas has….it’s not even like I show up at the last minute right before they close…Third, the most terrible, lazy, and non caring attitude Midas has really gives mechanics a bad reputationFourth, if one basic oil change is going to take you at least 45min with that kind of attitude, good luck staying in businessI would give it 0 star if google would let me

Everyone there was extremely rude, to my Pastor and I as we had to stop to get our vehicle serviced, doing the work of an Evangelist, doing about the nation to spread the Word of God! We were treated horrible, basically ignored, but if a female came in, oh their attitude changed!

I had them install my 2 sets of tires on my 2 vehicles and was going to charge me money for a repair that i didnt need done.They also kept my lug nuts and installed some different ones.My other vehicle they damaged one of the lug nuts on that vehicle.

I had my car serviced at Honda of Abilene on 02/22/2017 where they do a full maintenence check per my warranty. The service department advised that my front brake pads will need to be changed within the next 2-3 months. Because its maintenance its not covered under warranty. The pads would cost around $50.00 but the labor would make it $235.00. I asked the service department if they could recommend a place less expensive and they recommended Midas. I submitted for a quote and was advised I would receive a quote within 24 hours. After waiting over 72 hours for my quote I decided to call. I advised the young man that answered the phone that I had my car serviced and would need to have my front brake pads replaced. He quotes $125.00 which I was happy with because it would save me $110.00. He then goes into this spill about the drums will need to be machined and that this is standard when they replace the brake pads and i will need to replace my back brakes or I will end up in the same situation I am in now. I come from a family of 5 generation of mechanic. I polite explained to him that I will just need the front pads replaced and the drums flipped but nothing more. His response Well why dont you have them do it. Well sir after being a loyal customer for over 25 years in the DFW area; I did yet let them do it because I perfer to pay the additional $110.00 for great customer service than pay $125.00 for rudeness. I will not be using Midas in Abilene, TX and have passed my experience on to my huge family.
