Got parts out to me fast, evo is back on the road thank you🤟🏻

I came to him to tune my car but he realized that wouldn’t be safe to do so. So he did a ton of amazing work to make that car safe for me to drive. He really cares about the drivers safety and well being. My car now runs better than it ever has since I’ve owned it.

I had him work on one of my cars and i wouldn’t trust this him to work on my kids match box car

Terrible turnaround times. Even worse Tommy, the owner, happily insults his unhappy customers and brags about it to the public. Id stay away and spend your money elsewhere. With someone who wont call you the R word amongst other insults and brag about it.

He did an amazing job! He knows his stuff. Prices were incredible compared to other shops. It took a little time but you cant rush quality. Cars runs great!

Had a clutch replaced with a magnus upgrade, along with flywheel and valve/oil pan replaced. Excellent work, good quality took his time to make sure my car runs better than new.

Not only does this business have terrible turn around times, but the owner Tommy feels comfortable calling his customers names like the R word and other expletives.

If youre looking for a quality and professional shop to work on your evo/dsm, look no further because this is the shop to stay away from. Owners too concerned about bashing peoples heads in all over the internet about how hes the best, nobody can beat him, swearing at others and making fun of them, and then blocking them as if they were never there. If I had to make a choice between having him fix or upgrade my vehicle, Id ask for a train ticket instead. Do your research before coming to this shop. Just a matter of time before hes shut down or has a lawsuit filed against him. Its a shame because he acts like he knows what hes doing until his elephant sized ego gets in the way. Youve been warned 🤷‍♂️

This was about a 10 or 11 days ago. According to the shop hours from google maps, I decided to go in for a walk in and see what the fuss was all about. There are mixed reviews about this shop but none-the-less I decided why not? Well I approached the shop and let me say if you have a slammed car like mine, it is not the best lot to drive in. The next issue I had was where I could park. There were so many cars (totaled or scrapped like a junkyard) in the area, its hard to even move around in there. So once I find my parking spot I attempt to go in by opening the door and its locked, I decide to wait since he mightve been on lunch. I waited for 30 minutes and still nothing. My patience was growing thin so I eventually left out of annoyance. If there was a simple sign or advertisement that said appointments only, I would not have had to show up for nothing. I live about 40 miles south of here and its a shame because first impressions mean a lot to me. Im a walk in type of person since I do not like exchanging my information with anyone to casually. After this experience, I dont think I will even bother calling him since personal matters mean more than having a shop.

Tommy is a very helpful and knowledgeable guy! He built my evo 8 from top to bottom. Built block and head and tune. The car is running better than it did before. He took the time to send me pictures of the build and explain everything that he was doing with the car. He built be a dream race car and I trust him with his work. Appreciate all the countless hours he put in to have it ready in a very short time.#BecauseRaceCar

Be aware of this guy! He will quote you low so he can get your car in his shop and then he will jack up the price, and keep your car hostage until you pay him!He will brag about how great mechanic he is, when he’s not!But the truth is he should only stick to the oil changes!

Good mechanic, bad business practice. I spent tons of money there just to get the car back with leaks and broken parts. Had previously left a positive review but after hearing from friends that were interested in taking the car to him figured to update this with my final review after having the car for a while and realizing he had blocked me on facebook and talked trash from me taking my car to a different shop.

I brought my Evo X to Tommy and he did an outstanding job. Highly recommend this shop!!

I needed work done on my Audi that was specialized and found his shop the best fit for my custom needs. In the testing process the car developed some mechanical issues that I authorized him to resolve in order to continue testing and complete the task. Further mechanical issues arose and I decided to have my normal mechanic continue the work. All work was paid for including an early payment due to him needing it for rent. Part of the payments were by credit card. Since he was a new shop he had another party accepting payment on his behalf (in the middle of North Chicago). All seemed well until months later I get a letter stating their credit merchant services is rescinding the payment and they are asking for money. I then call tom to ask for more information and he states this will get legal fast and accuses me of disputing the payment or fraud. Before I received the additional information and proof I had asked for, Tom text’s me with consistent threats of arrest and inside people he knows at the police department who will take action in 24 hours. I was forced to speak with a lawyer about a restraining order and visit my local police department concerning the level and amount of threats. Turns out the credit card number was misentered (on both credit charges) and they charged the wrong accounts. This had to be settled at the police department after certified mail correspondence. The skills he may have as a mechanic are negated by his immaturity, arrogance, and threatening, erratic behavior. My recommendation is save yourself the trouble.

I went to Tommy’s shop with a problem that nobody could find . Wasted a lot of money previously trying to find the problem, no one was sure or lying . I gave tommy and Schreiber Performance a try and my god was I impressed on the worth ethic of this man ! He was moving around trying everything to help me out. He literally came on his day off and open the shop just to help me out ! Best part of all is that he threats you good and take care of you . I recommend this shop for all your evo and dsm needs!

I was stranded in my 08 evo and didnt know much about this platform and I got referred to Tommy and he helped me out big time...if not fpr him I would have been left stranded in a different state.. even over the phone he was able to walk me through step by step on how to get my car back on the road thanks Schreiber performance!!!!

Took me to the hospital when I was sick and gave me a great deal on the car regarding parts and gave me reasonably cheap labor rates when compared to competition. Impeccable customer service and amiable family-like treatment.

What can I say about Tommy guy is a perfectionist and it shows through his work cant wait to continue to take the Evo back to him to fix some little issues I need to correct and then tune it he did a clutch and flywheel job for me and everything is smooth like butter good job man

Tried setting up an appointment with the owner, all i got was their voicemail. When they finally got back to me three days later they made it sound like upgrading what I wanted on my car wasnt worth their time. They were rude and hostile to me on the phone, and became short with their answers after a minute or two like they had better things to do.

Tommy is my guy for sure. Came in for him to go over everything on the car and as he did he taught me so much. He had noticed I was using the wrong plugs and has parts on the phone and in the shop in about 30 minutes. Also went out for a street tune and he got some amazing numbers out of the car especially when, with the setup I have(mostly stock-no ebcs, wideband), most shops wouldn’t even touch the car. Let Tommy fix your evo/dsm right the first time. Definitely a returning customer!

*IF YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF, DEAL WITH POOR ATTITUDE AND HAVE THE OWNER TELL YOU; “YOU ARENT A CUSTOMER UNLESS YOU SPEND 10k” THEN BY ALL MEANS COME HERE.-Took my car here and was told by owner that my car doesn’t get touched unless I ok it. Then when I go to pull the car out of there because of an emergency he starts taking things off the car and puts them back and charges me for it when I never agreed on it.-he left my seats all greasy and dirty-when I asked for a receipt when I was leaving he said “No, you are not a customer because you’re leaving, I’ll give you one when you come back. You are only a customer when you spent 10k here”-poor attitude-he tells you to replace parts that don’t need replacement (parts that were brand new)-Rip off prices or just lies**the owner replied by asking for a receipt to show I was actually there and not a fake review. I posted a picture of a receipt he sent me of the parts he ordered.

I bring my car to Schreiber Performance for just about anything! I trust his work, He loves what he does and is great at it! Low prices! And always takes care of his customers.

Tommy is very well educated and keeps you constantly posted and always welcomes you to the shop to see progress. Had my evo x over boosting and he fixed the problem right up. He actually offered to tune it the very next day after it started happening. He doesnt skip corners and makes sure the jobs done right. Anyone can get a quick fix to have a car driveable but he stresses on things that will keep the car reliable which is an honest mechanic. Jumping through hoops on a car creates issues. Dont cut corners and listen the his knowledge. He knows his stuff!!

I took my evo not running and he got it runing in no time. Hell of a job very high experiensed mechanic and loves our cars like if they were his. Highly recommend

Does amazing work! Extremely knowledgeable in the dsm/evo world. I listened to his advice when he said wait for a tune, get the big list of backup supporting mods done then get it tune. The most reliable and safest decision Ive ever done when wanting my baby to run right! Highly recommended. Doesnt push you to go thru him and really appreciates the customer. Let me be clear with a couple of things about this shop. Firstly, I am just now leaving my review because Tommy is out there bashing on supposed fake profiles well my review is pretty real and I want you all to know my experience.I not only feared for my car as it was being torn apart because of Tommys lack of troubleshooting, which caused me to spend more money, but feared for other cars that were getting the cold shoulder treatment. Using my car and other car owners vehicles as a surface to lay parts on and my biggest pet peeve CLEANLINESS. To sum it up, My car goes in with tires not deflated or with any screws in them, but came out with a flat that had about 80% tread left in them. I even offered to clean the damn shop because god knows I wouldve had to change all 4 since Tommy leaves his shop car and all nuts and bolts in disarray. When he removed my interior parts including my seats, he gave me his word that he would have it cleaned. Despite that, I had to do it myself, and he temporarily lost my strut bar for about a week before I had to come down to his shop myself to search for it. Now let me go into detail on why I was there so Mr. Schreiber can have an epiphany.I take my car in for what was supposed to be a simple fuel conversion to E85, and bigger injectors. I even asked him to throw in a skunk2 intake that he had issues with later on. Yes ok customers are allowed to make mistakes because its not our profession. Yet Tommy makes it all a big deal and says to get brand new everything because if you got enough money you can throw new parts at a car and it will eventually start working right Tommy? Honestly I did have the worst luck while waiting for my car to one day be fixed and out the door. A year later and it was finally done. Was it worth a year? No. But did he fix my car...? Well yea after investing thousands of dollars into a car even my grandpa can have it fixed in half the time. What was keeping him? Well, he was doing a lot of prepping for DSM shootouts in 2016 so he had to put all of the customer cars on hold so that he can spend his cash stack on his own parts. Being the owner and only mechanic in that shop didnt take long for me to notice the fatigue he went through. But why should a customer care right? Waking up at 6am and working until midnight is not a customers fault.What did I find after getting my car back from Tommy? Nothing major but because I am a very meticulous type of person, I look at the smaller things and was pretty disappointed for that long of a wait. Coolant lines from turbo were loose, the radium catch can he recommended was not tightened all the way, tells me to pay more money on another battery holding box after just paying for one he recommended to me, and put the ground wire from the battery to the transmission. The most embarrassing moment from what I could get from Tommys work was his exhaust leak where he loosened my wastegate to make the car louder and raspier with a deep idle to mimic my car having cams.Overall, in the end it was all my mistake for even having it there for as long as I kept it there for but what I gained from it was a lesson where you leave your car with someone who hates literally every other competitor shop and boasts about his work but cannot deliver with his own car.Tommy I know what youre gonna say, you want to tell me how much youve helped me in the long run right? Well let me explain something to you my friend, Im especially grateful that you helped me get a brand new skunk2 intake, as a TRUE veteran of the Marine Corps I appreciate the extra mile you went for me, but your shady work doesnt come close to what I expected of you from the money I handed you and if you want to say anything to me in retaliation, it doesnt matter because I am just a customer, I dont have to be professional with you. And lastly, dont be so mad when we decide to go to another shop, your aggressiveness gets you absolutely no where.P.S my car is as great as ever, thanks to John Drew, someone you never even met. Schreiber performance does the best work hands down havnt had any issues with my evo.

My Evo x had a transmission Gasket leak along with other minor problems. He gave me tips to dos and donts with evos. Hes very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. He is a very friendly and professional mechanic and treats you more than just a customer and actually cares about your car as well. I will keep doing business with him in the future. If your Evo needs performance parts or maintenance, Tommy is the go to man! 10/10.

Have had nothing but issues since this guy touched my Evo. Cost alot to get it back to where it was but thankfully other local shops did great work.

Found out my boost leak before he did the boost leak test, Also took the best care of my subie possible, best place for a tune, made my car like a brand new car thanks again.
