The service was good, there were some delivery issues with fitting my furniture into my apartment but they worked with me and are continuing to work with me to get another set, which I appreciate.

My Husband and I ordered Living Room Furniture 5 months ago which supposed to be delivered within 3 months maximum. However, after calling them to check the status for so many times, they finally said that the manufacturer of the furniture is closed. Then we ordered other Living room sets again by trusting the manager who said that this time, the furniture is in stock so he was 100% sure the product will be send within 10 days. However, we called them to check again, yet they did not replied. Then on the other day, the manager called and said that the furniture set we ordered is not in their stock anymore and said come and take your money back. The manager didnt even apologize for what they have done. This is very disappointing after waiting 5 months. If there were less than zero star, I would have given them.

I came in a few years ago.I bought a couch its still in great condition! Customer service was awesome and the delivery speed highly acceptional!!! Once they have you latch into a contract they forget about the great customer service they provided when they first got you!!! And if the contract you enter its not as stated they do everything to force you into staying in it (even if youre not happy or satisfy). You can also break the contract and lose your money! Please do not believe their charismatic attentive service......THEY ARE A BUNCH OF RIP-OFFS!!! WITH LOW QUALITY FURNITURE.

Nice furniture but sneaky staff. Thread carefully, only buy at this store if you can pay in full, and do not be tricked into paying in installments. They use a credit company that’s even more deceptive than they are and sell your debt to them. They tried to make me pay taxes twice and they kept contradicting themselves. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had with any store so far. I won’t be going to this store ever again.

My experience was diametrically opposite of many of the other reviewers. I went in, saw a piece of furniture on sale at a great price (a table with six chairs), and bought it the same day. The sales people said it would be delivered to my house and it was VERY important that I check that everything was delivered correctly. Given their name (Overstock Furniture), this made sense--the manufacturer was getting rid of overstock furniture and that means you have to check the furniture carefully. I should note, I also checked my invoice carefully, as well as the fine print.The actual delivery time was in the middle of a work day. Luckily, my girlfriend at the time could work from home and be there for the delivery. The delivery people brought the furniture, assembled it, and asked her to check everything over. She did. Everything was there. Everything looked (and still looks) good. The delivery people left. End of story.Overall, it was a fantastic experience for a fantastic price, which means five stars.
I dont usually write reviews but I am deciding to take the time to write this one in hopes that I can save someone from having to go through the horrible experience I just went though. I received THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IMAGINABLE from the Overstock Furniture store in Langley Park. I ordered a bedroom set and was told delivery will be in two weeks, after two weeks to the day I decided to call because I had not heard anything (had to call a few times because they wouldn’t answer the phone). When I finally got a hold of someone, they were not sure and couldn’t give me an answer so they said they would call me back once they found out a status. I waited 3 more business days (5 days if you count the weekend) and didn’t hear anything so I called again. This time, after putting me on hold a few times they told me my bedroom set was on back order, which honestly, I could understand, at this point I only wished someone would have called to tell me this. We agreed that they would keep me updated on the status but they would never call me and at some point they started ignoring my calls because I called 4 times one day and the phone would either ring and ring or go straight to voicemail, however, on my last try I called from a different number seconds after calling from my cell (the number they had) and they picked up on the first ring. (Too much coincidence) On this call, they tried to convince me to simply get something else from the store and when I told the guy I didn’t like anything else in the store that at this point I had been waiting for a month and that I either wanted my furniture or my money back, his response was that I needed to talk to my husband, to have my husband call them because he was the one in charge. Keep in mind, I was the one that found the store, husband and I selected the furniture together, and paid for it with our joint account. At no point was my husband in charge so they were simply being sexist and trying to get me off the phone. The next time I talked to the store, I express my frustration and asked what they were going to do for my inconvenience, and Simon said that they would give me a rug to go with my bedroom set. Summary, I received my furniture after a month and 20 days of waiting, with no apology, no nothing. Even though all I want to do is forget about this experience, I went to pick the rug this weekend, and WAS LITERALLY SCREAMED AT AND KICKED OUT OF THE STORE because for the first time during this entire transaction I was tired of waiting. Simon (assistant store manager who screamed at me saying I did not need his name and refused to give me his last name) said that since I didn’t have the rug agreement in writing there was nothing he could do even though he was the assistant store manager. At this point, I do not want to be treated and disrespected like I was so I will not be returning in 3 weeks when the store manager who supposedly is also named Simon returns from vacation. I am also convinced Simon is a made up name they gave me anyway. The advice I wish someone would have given me, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The men in this store are abusive, non-apologetic, horrible people to deal with.

They have good furniture BUT, they never have anything in stock which is kind of ironic given the fact that the store is called “ Overstock Furniture” anyways, the manager, and employee at the front desk are very rude. They make you feel lesser than them in a way. In addition, they have terrible record keeping skills. It’s best for you to take your business elsewhere.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! My mom put a bedroom set on lay-away that they had been advertising. Towards the middle of her balance being paid off they tell her the bedroom set had been discontinued so she had to pick another set even if she didnt like any of them because it was their personal opinion that they had other beautiful bedroom sets to choose from! My mom had seen all of them and none of them were to her liking! So she asked them to give her money back! They agreed to give a refund minus a 30% for overstock fees.....OVERSTOCK FEES?!!! What overstock fees?!!!THEY DIDNT HAVE THE FURNITURE!!! They told her it was because she would be breaking her contract. But she wasnt!!! It was them who no longer had the furniture she had been making payments for!!!How unethical is it to try to push her into picking another set---even if none of them were to her liking!!! And refusing her a full refund after theyre the ones who cant delivered!!! It would be no problem if they had the set she had been paying for!!!As a last recourse, they are going to give her a floor sample set.... but never once offered a discount for being a floor sample!!! Additionally, not all the pieces are there so they had to make a special order to get the dresser and mirror. However, the mirror would be different because she had picked one with lights---and the one with the special ordered would come with no lights!!! Again, they are unable to delivered their part of the agreement!!!They never once tried to apologize for being unable to delivered the pieces they had promised to have after she paid them off.Whats worst besides the horrible customer service is that they continue to advertise the same set!!! If its been discontinued they shouldnt be mailing those sales papers because it will only lure other poor customers/victims that may come precisely for this same set and then they will do the same thing to them.PLEASE, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! There is a lot more that I have not shared on how my mom has been treated but it would be a much longer story. The bottom line is....Its just been HORRIBLE!!!! Take your hard working money to another business that will care for you. Too bad I had to give them 1 star because they didnt deserved that either.

My husband bought furniture here, and it is complete trash. He has had it for less than 2 years, and it is scratched, even in places where there is no normal wear. We didnt receive one chair for our dining set. and while the chair was eventually sent, it took forever. Save your money and buy better furniture.

I do not want others to suffer in future so I am writing this review. I bought a inning set during Columbus day, I pickup from the store, The loading guys open the box to show me every things OK, Things look OK. Left home and after two weeks, when I wanted to install the chairs, the screw were missing. I called the store.The manager asked me to wait for a day to find out from the manufacture. Next day they told me that this is not there problem as I did not check properly at the store that the stupid screw was missing so now its is my problem to fix it or trash it.Very unprofessional and rude response from these guys!!!Well, It was my worst experience ever!!!You can buy but make sure to spend time and check every small/big screw and nut is included in the package or ready to pay extra bucks and time for the same.Good Luck!!

Bought dinning room set, living room set. The delivered it broken. Called sent photos to no avail. Furniture store are too weak. No warranty. Very tricky store. If had read review, I wouldnt have fallen for this sucker. Customer service rep the worst.

Poor customer service. They want to take your money and forget about you. I spent $3,200 and had to call in myself to find out the furniture is back ordered. They tried to suggest that I could only pick something else out(illegal) and not get a refund.

I put a bed on layaway in February at the Alexandria location. I pit a 50 dollar down payment bit shortly discovered that I could do an online layaway which would be more convenient than going into the store. I was told to open a different account online, make another initial 50 dollar payment and the on store payment I paid would be credited to my online account. Well......4 promises, over 15 calls, 2 store visits and numerous emails I still do not have my 50 dollar initial in store payment and I just discovered that my online layaway has been deleted with my history of the other 50 dollar payment. No phone calls, no emails back or written statements letting me know where my money is! Ive called for a manager and have been unsuccessful. These people are crooks! Never ever shop there!
I highly recommended that please do not purchase any furniture from these people or any branch or location. I waited 2 month for the furniture i order which i didnt received and at the last moment they told me i have to wait another one more month. The people working in this place sucks.

Embarrassing customer service. Multiple failed deliveries and hung up on by rude staff multiple times. Still waiting on the full set to get here and no indication that management is willing to offer discounted pricing or any retribution for the wasted days off work spent waiting for their delivery trucks. Complete incompetence at this store. Would have loved to cancel the order weeks ago but they refused to offer a refund. Please buy your furniture from anywhere else but here if you dont want to get scammed.

Bought a chest of drawers from the clearance section. After having been moved around and tilted all kinds ways by the time I got it home childrens school spelling words flash cards and pennies ect fell into the drawers.I was told this was told in the store this was off the showroom..This chest of drawers was obviously not from the store but somebodies used childrens chest.
I am shocked that a business this horrible is able to run as long as they have! They sold me a sofa and a chaise last month. I received the sofa but I have no idea where the chaise is and they keep telling me it will come in two days and when I call them in those two days, they tell me to give them a week. I am so fed up! The most crooked furniture store in the DMV area. I ordered a three pieces entertainment center that I saw on the screen of the electronic display device located inside the store and they finally delivered something else at my home in my absence. I asked for any explanation about that and a Middle East guy, acting as manager told me that the orders go by numbers not by pictures. Buyer please be aware. I ordered my furniture over a month ago and I havent received my furniture as yet. These people have been so rude and obnoxious towards me. I have actually been so angry that I cried a few times. They lied to me on countless situation and tried to take advantage of the fact that I am a non-driver by promising me free delivery, various early pick up dates and re-neg time and time again. I think the problem is the customer service. Ive actually been hung up on a few times and am so stressed out. These people made me believe that I was just signing a bill of sale but there is a whole contract on the back of the bill of sale with a lot of shady fine print. I wish that I could give them a zero.

I didnt know it was possible for a company to be this awful at something so simple--and its not like theyre prices are low enough to make it worth it.I ordered 7 items. One item was completely wrong, another was missing a handle, and another still hasnt been delivered. According to the rep I just got off the phone with, thisll be sorted out Saturday. Im not hopeful.I could have gotten this furniture through any other retailer cheaper, faster, and headache-free.Unlike other reviewers, they werent rude to me. But their service was still a disaster, and, again, their prices dont make up for the disastrous service.

The worest furniture store. Please dont go to this store. We order our furnitures on may 25 and they say the furnitures are discontinued on June 29. On may 25 they say,it will be delivered within 2weeks max, but it didnt. So when we call and ask them they say its because of transponrtation and it will be delivered with in a week which is around june 20. We waited for a week, but it didnt delivered. Finally when we call the manager whose name is Samy he said it will be delivered the next day which is june 27. On June 29 When we go and ask him. He said it is discontinued.If a furniture is discontinued, they should have check it online and told us on may 25, so we can look around.
The sales men are their to decieve you in any way they can. I went in to the store to get a price quote of the furnitures, compare it with other stores carrying similar items, which a normal procedure. Now the sales man said because we made a good deal for you, it would be better if you put in a price hold of $50 USD and if you CHANGE your mind for any reason it is refundable with in 7 days. Because I got a good deal from another store;I went back with in 7 days and said, I have changed my mind and I am not buying the item any more and therefore asked them for my $50 bucks. Here comes the Bad news, sales manager said, right in my face IT IS NOT Refundable. End of store and But your guys insisted that I put in a price hold when it was my plan,saying it is refundable. So, what kind of business is this after all, is not cheating?By the way, because they do not carry whatever furnitures in their store, if you like to buy one, you have wait 2 to 6 weeks. They make order after you pay them and you will wonder they deliver it to you. A friend of me told me later, that store Never keep a word at all, they have snatched 50 dollar of him as well. Bought $5000 work inbedroom and living room and since they have a sure customer they did not add on warranty and now i am going through hell with my furniture since they cannot add it after i took delivery of it which they ordered the wrong color which ultimately delayed my delivery.

Dont waste your time or money . I order chairs from this place one of them was defective . I try to get them to replace it . I took pictures even had one of there guys who I payed toAssemble them confirm to them the chair was defective and they never follow up with me to try and resolve my issue . I work with the sale associate tsgie (spelling might be wrong but he Ethiopian ) I had to call him several times and he never would answer until I had my mother call from a different number in which than he answer !
