Plenty of Asian ingredients, like papaya, guava, ginger...The seafood are sold really fresh. You have to pick the fish you want, then the staff will weight it and cut it for you.

Their products are fresh and fair

Overpriced, and yet they have some deals on fresh fish that will keep us coming back. Their produce section was so clean and well-stocked it was shocking considering other areas within the store.

Great bakery and an amazing staff

They have certain cuts of meat, such as pork belly, that you wont find in a typical grocery store. The prices they have for meats are also pretty competitive, either equal or lower/ better in price than typical grocery stores. Some food items, they may not have every variety of brand, but they usually have the most popular brand if you care about brand names. Most of the time, the cashier lines are pretty short.

My favorite Spanish grocery store to visit. Best time to go is when they first open. Fresh produce. Organized. Always stocked. Fresh meat.

Great prices, good selection - particularly Latin American items. Great variety of meat and fish. If you show up at the right time, they have tamales for $1.50.

Good prices in general. The fruit goes bad if it isn’t eaten the same or next day. It’s a little more pricey then the other markets farther out but it’s convenient.

Its a nice place. The workers are nice people. Its the only grocery store in my neighborhood. Bank of America, CVS, Seven Eleven and Popoyes chicken are in the same shopping center with this grocery store. Its a peaceful and safe neighborhood. Whatever be the case, I implore you to believe in Jesus and sin no more, that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Without life you are nothing, and the end will be terrible if you have no life. God bless you and make you free indeed from sin and to sin no more, and give you eternal life.

Nice for fresh veggies. I would skip the meat section though. The fish is fresh and they will prep it for you according to your liking.

Good customers service, there is always some one willing to help you. Its never too crowd and I mostly find what im looking for. What I dont like is that there is no way to take the shopping cart out to the parking lot.

Its a great place to find what you wont find at the most popular supermarkets

I bought a bread few weeks ago when I opened was really bad condition and after four days later I saw the same bread was there and has Mol on it i dont think anyone is checking the stuff sometimes to me and I bought apple yesterday 8/24/20 in it look like that and make sure look at data one the stuff and cashier is really rude.

Alright grocery store, does the job of allowing people to conveniently purchase the groceries they need and get hone quickly. However, I miss the good old days when the Safeway Food and Drug store was operating in Bestways spot at the Metzerott Plaza in Adelphi, MD. I would pass by the Safeway Food and Drug store almost everyday on my way to preschool at Francis Fuchs and on weekends to Bethesda.The Safeway Food and Drug store closed around November, 2006 and the Bestway Latino Supermarket has been operating in its space ever since it closed. Also, a McDonalds fast food restaurant and Bustin Suds Laundromat used to be in this plaza for many years but have left the mall the same time Safeway left. Though Popeyes Fast Food Restaurant, Seven Eleven Convenience store, Rite Aid Pharmacy, and Golden Bull Restaurant were fixtures of the plaza for many decades, they still remain the plaza. In general though, the Lewisdale, Langley Park, and Adelphi areas have gone signficiantly downhill. There are not nearly as many good stores in the area as there used to be. A few months after Safeway closed in the mall, Toys R Us left the Langley Park Plaza which is less than 0.5 miles away from the Metzerott Plaza. I heard this Tous R Us is rumored to have moved from its much smaller former location in Lewisdale to Langkey Park Plaza at the end of November, 1996. The Toys R Us spot in Lewisdale hs since been occupied by a l Value Village Thrift Store. The Toys R Us in the Langley Park Plaza replaced what I heard has been rumored to have been the former K-Mart department stores space inside the Langley Plaza. The other Safeway Food and Drug store that I have been to a few times as a kid between 2002 and 2004 in Takoma Park, at the southwestern corner of University Boulevard and New Hampshire Avenue, closed in October, 2009 and was replaced with an Expo E Mart store in November, 2009. That store failed and filed for bankruptcy in 2015. Since then, the MegaMart Latino Supermarket, formerly known as Panam Supermarket since it began operating in the D.C. area from 2004, operated in Safeways former spot and still continues to do so today. Blockbuster also closed in that same shopping center a little later around late 2009 or early 2010 when Blockbuster went bankrupt. Also, the Shoppers Food Warehouse and Ledo Italian Restaurant that my family shopped at for many years are all gone.

The workers will talk about you in Spanish with their coworkers thinking that another race can’t speak and understand Spanish. They need education for real.

I hated my experience. The lady that bag the food, throw the food when bagging and when my duaghter respectfully told her to please dont throw the food she said in a snarky voice I wasnt throwing it. The food might be okay, but the costumer service is horrible.Odié mi vista a Best Buy! La señora que en bolsa la comida avienta la comida y cuando mi hija le dijo que por favor no avientan la comida se puso molesta. La comida podrá ser buena pero el servicio al cliente eso horrendo.
