Solid inventory, good department workers but high school kids handle the checkouts

I was a fairly regular customer until I walked in today to a HUGE obnoxious sign stating, “NO MASK, NO ENTRY” with yellow caution tape draped across it. Really? After a year and a half of tyranny? I’ll happily drive to Home Depot Newbury Park where the manager and employees are reasonable, friendly, and have a lot more to offer.

They did not have the plywood that I went there for.

As your basic I dont know how to do a whole lot hardware store it will suffice. The staff knew what they were talking about at least but honestly like the selection of items that I needed just wasnt up to par. If youre just looking for a couple of screws or an anchor bolt or something like that then yeah this is a place to come. If youre looking for anything and quality or volume youre better off going to one of the bigger stores.

I needed succulent potting soil in a large bag. I found the small bags so I asked an associate. She told me exactly where to find it. I found check out to be quick.

I wish this store was closer to my home. Its close to my sisters so Ive had a few occasions where Ive gone in needing things. The store is very well organized so its easy to find stuff and everyone I had contact with was super nice. I need to give a shout-out to the Lumber department and in particular Leno and Beau. Definitely the place to go if you need almost anything.

Great little hardware store. Unlike some of the other stores you dont have to chase down employees to get them to help you. Today I was at the Agoura Road location and a knowledgeable employee preemptively asked me if I needed help and helped me with out me even having to ask. I really wish I would have caught his name so I could give him the credit he deserves, he was in the lighting dept.

Good general purpose hardware store, very well stocked for its size. Reasonably knowledgeable staff. Very convenient. Generally a bit more expensive than Home Depot and Lowes, but sometimes I can find items I cant find elsewhere, and sometimes DIY Home Center has better prices

Poor selection, and the customer is so bad I literally screamed helped, screamed I’m stealing and no one showed up until the very end when I had to cut my own hose and an employee magically tracked me from across the store to say I couldn’t do that after literally screaming HELP, IM STEALING, I COULD BE ON FIRE, THERES A HOLE IN THE EARTH, nothing

I went to get small poinsettias which I wasnt finding other places. Very good selection of poinsettias and a myriad of other things.

Great local hardware store. Friendly, helpful staff. While their prices may not compete with the orange or blue stores, the convenience is worth the extra few pennies.

The workers are always helpful, although many times person I asked has to ask another person because they are not as cross-trained on the different departments as they could be.This is it good store for the basics, but if youre looking for very unique parts, you may not find it here. The prices are okay, theres usually a bit of a markup compared to Home Depot and especially Amazon. They do have sale items that are priced well, however. the garden center is nice and the staff is helpful there

I love the DIY Center. It is close to home. They have a really strong selection of items which save me many trips to other big box hardware stores. The prices are really reasonable as well. The people are friendly and helpful. I love that it is a local business with a lot local workers that feel like they are my neighbors.

Need to work on signage instructing customers for proper social distancing other wise fast friendly helpful staff. Items laid out well and easy to find.

GE smart bulb has low power bluetooth, asked if they carry but only wifi bulbs which are outdated. Great place for hummingbird food tho!

An incredible selection of items for the home. Every bulb type I can imagine. Electronic fixtures of all different types. Lots of plumbing fixtures and garden fixtures. Very helpful staff who will help you find what you need.Nice bathrooms as well which is great as none of the local businesses have them.

This is not a large box hardware retailer but better than most independent hardware and small garden stores. Excellent variety of hardware and lawn furniture and accessories. It is easy to find items and checkout is typically very quick. I highly recommend.

Helpful, Friendly staffers, convient for hardware and gardening projects

Very rude and disrespect staff and manager. I just went to exchange something, there was no customer around only a few workers and the manager were around by the entrance, behind the cashier stand and at the customer service desk. I walked to the customer service where one worker and the manger were. Non of them acknowledged my existence. The manager continued doing what he was doing and the worker answered the phone that was ringing while I was standing in front of them. He answered one call after another and I was still standing without being acknowledged. I went and got what I wanted and went back and asked the manager, Nick, a question about the product. He was very reluctant to answer let alone expecting any greeting before and after the conversation! Extremely rude, disrespectful and not helpful at all.I will never go there again and don’t recommend anyone to go there! I rather drive farther and pay more for a better service.

The employees/workers at this H.W.Store are fairly helpful and somewhat knowledgeable. But the selection of Mdse is pretty limited and a sad/sizable portion of the store is dedicated to kitchen-cooking utensils and rustic kitchie gift-wares. This cutesie junk does displace the true HARDWARE in this Store ;-(BTW, the pricing here is not as competitive as one may expect.

I was shocked to learn that Conejo Valley doesnt have an old hardware store thats been around for 50 years. I guess TO hasnt been around long enough to have one. Anyway, this is my local hardware store and although the lumber isnt the greatest and Home Depot has a deeper selection, I still usually shop here. Employees are always nice, even when they keep asking me if there are any applicable discounts, hint hint (must be the gray hair).

If you are a female be ready to be talked to like youre an idiot. Ive had this happen 3 separate times. I am by no means a feminist, but I do like to be treated like a person and not be made to feel like less of one. Today I was not on the receiving end, but watched the man in the paint department talking to a lady who obviously wasnt stupid, and had asked a valid question. So condescending....... You should really have a training class on how not to treat your customers. Will no longer shop here.

Extremely helpful and friendly. Moved here 2 years ago and I like the place. Their prices seems to be in line with the big box stores. However, no doubt some items might be more (they are a small chain). I like the fact that I get in and out and dont have to wait 20 minutes for help.

Great alternative hardware/home improvement store to HD or Lowes if you live in the Agoura Hills / Oak Park area, Those stores are more than 10 miles away in any direction so if you arent in need of buying bulk construction materials this store offers a broad selection of hardware, home & garden products as well as basic lumber & construction materials. There is a really goodt selection of hardware items and a decent selection of basic plumbing & electrical stuff. They have just about anything you would need for a quick DIY fix. Lastly they also offer a small discount if youre military or over 50 years of age :-)

This store has the little things that the big box hardware stores dont have. This may seem a small issue but I can be sure that the small bolt Im looking for is there. At Home Depot near me the small parts drawers are usually empty. A waste of time to look there.

Went here due to not having any other home improvement store nearby, I had gotten a price for the item needed at a home depot but didnt want to go out of the area. I found the item and it was being sold for almost double the cost that HD had it for. This store is raping the locals!

I have been here several times. I am from Orange County and I come to Agoura Hills for work every 90 days for a maintenance. This place has all of the supplies I need every time I come.
