I was extremely happy with the service! I’ve been to 3 different podiatrists over 3 years and the woman that works here was more helpful than all 3 professionals put together in less than 30mins. I obviously knew a lot about my condition (Morton’s neuroma) and she set me up with some really good shoes for what I do for work and exercise and some orthotics that actually relieve the pain. I spent more money on the podiatrists offer the last 3 years than I spent at this shop and came away with much more. She understood the problem because she has also suffered from it which really helped her understanding. She set me up with a rehabilitation programme for a month (included in price of orthotics) which is far more than I ever got from a podiatrist appointment. Huge thanks to helping me deal with this horrible problem that I have been giving up hope on until now!
Expensive quality products, decent selection and great fitting advice. Insoles are less expensive than a custom made one, but they are very pricey, definitely not the drugstore variety or cost, though they look very durable and should last you for many years. Well worth a visit to at least become educated on whats available and what your footprints say about your foot condition. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. No pressure sales in a very small store. But be sure you want what you purchase though as all sales are final, no returns! This is a definite negative and why I took away stars.Free parking. Located in Pearl Kai fronting Kam Hwy.
How much did you pay them and how long did you try out the product(s)? You could try to. get a refund if you think he is a larger part of a business like a corporation. Keep on top of it and let me know how it goes. Comment and fill me in. Maybe i can help.
My Mum and dad went to get a shoe as her feet was hurting. She was pressured into getting a $492 pair of shoes. When she came home and tried it on it hurt her feet. She went back to exchange it for a different pair and color (she can only wear black at work), the owner Patti was extremely rude and told her it was a final sale. She was not told of this before. Do not go here. Very disreputable.
You cant return anything even if its not used. Their shoes are way overpriced and for military check out the exchange prices first...so much cheaper. I will never do business with that owner again.
I came in as soon as my ankle started swellong. I got the pleasure of having sales associate Susan evaluate my foot by stepping on a pad that imprinted the foot and evaluated the type of support I needed. The price was well over my budget, and I needed 4 products to help correct the damage done to my ankle. I was informed that I could end up needing surgery if I ignored my injury. I literally was in major pain, I selected the Sundance orthotic W5.I wish I could post a before and after of my ankle, it is 30% better in 1 day.I want to personally thank the knowledge of Susan sales specialists for taking the time to care about my needs and pain.Irene Zigler
I went to Step Ahead because i was having alot of shooting pains in the ball of my foot. They have alot of footwear and orthotics to choose from and are very knowledgable. They took a print of my foot and showed me several options to help my foot. I ended up getting orthotics and shoes. Within 5 days my foot was feeling better and within a week i was running again. If you are having foot pains this is the place to fix them!
The Caucasian guy that helped me with my shoes seemed to have some anger issues and his attitude towards customers does not warrant him working in service oriented establishments. It seemed that at the time i was helping myself to a set of size 6 slippers he and the lady worker were arguing about something, I asked the lady for a 6 1/2 but I was told that particular brand does not come in half sizes, so I asked for a 7 and gave the lady the 6 I tried on. The guy went to look, and it was taking him a while so i went to try for a different style of slippers in a 7, just to get the feel. He came back asking me, wheres the shoes?, I thought he meant the first one I tried, so I said I gave it to the lady. He went appearing frustrated then was back again with a different style 7 slippers, saying the brand I want came in but he cannot find it because they we reorganizing the store. I tried the 7 he brought and it was big, and he blurted, So, what do you expect me to do? I was surprised by his action, and it was so unexpected, I could not say anything. I know I should have walked out at the time but i had it all planned for weeks to treat myself to a nice pair or two of slippers, and his action is not going to ruin my day. I like my shoes, but not that salesclerk.
