Best place for a great omc mechanic. Plus all your boating needs.
Great place. Excellent customer service. Friendly people.
My husband took our 2015 Pontoon to this dealer because they were a “Certified Suzuki Dealer.” Our boat was having issues and would not shift gears. Assuming this was a warranty issue, we waited to hear from the dealer to when they would start to repair our boat. We called to check when the boat would be looked at and we were told it was ready, so we went to pick it up. We were told that they “looked and looked for the problem all day,” and finally had to call Suzuki itself and Suzuki asked what year the boat was and immediately told Sutton’s to check a specific wire, and lead them directly to the problem. We got there and were handed this bill... we were charged 9 hrs of labor, at $95 per hour, for a $36.95 part because Sutton’s could not find the problem themselves, which is not the customers fault at all. We also were never called to even authorize the repair, as Sutton’s never had the decency and proper customer service to talk to their customers first. I spoke with the manager, Nigel, through two emails and a phone call. He said he would call me back at the latest Friday morning after speaking to the owner after I expressed how disheartening this situation was, but as I figured he never called back. I called first thing the following Monday and was told he would not be in until noon that day, but I had someone else call literally five minutes later and they spoke to him. Sutton Marine are absolute thieves and can not just make up labor costs because they can not find the problem. I do not want this to happen to another customer! The Better Business Bureau has been contacted, and I pray that people find a reputable business for their boating needs.
Sort of the same story as the other 1 star review. I took my boat in and I was never contacted with a quote or anything I was completely in the dark until I called Sutton Marine. Turns out they already started replacing parts running up a $443 dollar bill all without giving me a quote or awaiting my approval. Nigel was the only professional there I enjoyed doing business with him. The technician they employ did a terrible job on the labor he did do. Left a fuel line unplugged and leaking fuel in my center console. (The fuel line he was supposed to cut off). He left random parts and scraps all over my boat and all he seemed to care about was trying to sell the products within their shop. I was without a boat for roughly three weeks spend over $400 and the problem is still not fixed. Now I need a $1,000 - $4,000 part Sutton Marine tells me. I will never go back there again. Sutton Marine has horrible customer service I highly recommend you find another boat mechanic. I’ve heard good things about Clark Hill Marina. It’s unfortunate you can’t give 0 stars. ****UPDATE**** I took my boat to a mechanic at lake Murray and just got a call back. It turns out Sutton Marine put the wrong plugs in my engine (without asking me). So Sutton told me it was a bad computer when it was actually them putting wrong plugs in. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEIR SERVICE!!!!!!!!
Not bad, not much on stock but if not in a hurry they can order it. A little pricey for labor. What Took me an hour install an item that they wanted 200.00. Maybe ok going by todays rate but I do service work and I find it better to save my money and not give it away.
Not honest with customer
