This west marine store has save me with badly needed parts in the last few months due to ongoing boat upgrade with electronic, electrical and engine maintenance parts. Parts is easily ordered and delivered to this store without shipping cost.. when parts isnt available in this store, the sales are quick to help and search for your needs at there other store and most times they have it. you can either have it ship to this store free or drive down to pick it up... great store..

As a new boat owner, my first boat shopping experience was West Marine in Alameda. Well.. I received some of the best customer service at this location.There was a gentleman, Jose, who works in the fishing department. He was very kind and empathetic at my little to no knowledge of fishing gear and my boating experience. He took the time to introduce me to the other specialists in each department. Everyone was just as kind and helpful as Jose. I ended up purchasing everything that I needed for my first fishing trip with my son. Price became the last thing I thought about, especially when you have knowledgeable staff assistance. In the end, you get what you pay for.

This is one of those rare places still around that has very friendly and helpful staff. Its always a pleasure comibg here.

Awesome. I picked up deck paint, varnish. Brushes etc. And 2 batteries that died. The power batteries, not the engine this time. When I brought the bad batteries in they checked them and the result was they needed replacement. Great help and a good experience

Helpful staff. I usually shop for clothes and jackets suited for sailing and outdoor use. They also carry nautical accessories and supplies and navigation electronics. They carry a line of emergency locator rescue beacons which comes in handy for sea or wilderness situations.

West Marine is Great! Not only is it clean, well stocked and organized but the staff are still the friendliest and most helpful people around.

Good space with an also good selection of products from boat accessories and parts, to fishing products and few clothing items!

One of the best West Marine locations Ive ever been to and I used to work at one. Excellent selection of outerwear and accessories as opposed to some that stock more industrial and maintenance supplies.

Prices on everything are inflated. Staff is friendly, the store is clean, well stocked and has some bait. They offer price match but when a lower price is presented to them they refused to honor it unless you pay for a membership?

Nice store with lots of marine tools, supplies, equipment, clothing and gear. Well stocked, but not cheap.

Their salesperson name Paul is a disaster for this store. He is the worst salesperson I’ve ever seen in my life. Any question you ask him, he would mock you first before he gives you the answers.This was my third time ran to this guy and saw a ridiculous customer service. I would never go there again.Lastly to those who hired him:I see so many bad reviews for your store and 99% is the service Paul provides to your customers, he is the downside to your P&L I clearly see that.

There is a sign posted stating you need to wear a mask due to Covid-19, but when you go inside, the employees behind the checkout counter (some without plexi shields) are not wearing their masks, or wearing it under their nose.Considering this is an essential services store, it sucks that the employees dont feel the health of their customers matter enough to wear the masks.If you go to the other marine parts store on Alameda (I wont list its name, I dont want to be accused of advertising), they ARE all wearing their masks, and enforcing social distancing and the wearing of masks.

Really awesome store super helpful staff. I ordered a paddleboard here that they shipped across the country no questions asked. Even the manufacturer was sold out! Bob helped check up on my order and answer questions with great attitude even right before their close

Very helpful with my rerigging.

No Parking, sitting or reasonable prices for lunch: boxes or snacks specials. Safeway we are tired of the 2 pds chicken entree for $5.00 believe and me it will feed 5 person but no salad free.ASPCA for animals moved in the mall but they are into huge cats, no teacups, uddles or massons dogs for adoption. Less cleaning up. Have a explosive New Year holiday weather permits.🐣💥

Never will I return to West Marine. I tried to make a return and was treated like I was trying to pull a fast one. I ended up leaving without my refund because I was treated so poorly. I’ve never been treated this way before. Will never return.

This is the new home for West Marine, spacious and light. The staff is very helpful and they have everything you could imagine for your sailboat or kayak or canoe.

Was really bummed I could not by a wakeboard or wake surf board here .Must wear a mask to come in
