This is one of my local supermarkets. I favor this location because Luckys often has Mineragua Sparkling Water in sale for $.89 or $10 for ten. Either way its a great price. There are no other must have items at Luckys.By the way this Mineragua is the absolute bomb. You add it to lemonade, adult beverages and it is the most delicious drink. If you have an up set stomach. Try this sparkling water.

This supermarket has good deals on some basics like cereal, wine and packaged foods. The selection of prepared, ready to eat foods was lackluster on a Saturday night near closing time. I ended up with a 3 pack of mini sandwiches which were okay.

This supermarket is conveniently located among other stores in a small shopping center . The staff is kind and friendly for the most part with the exception of one or two persons who probably just hate their jobs. I would recommend this store as I have been shopping there for many years now and they have been great. I would recommend this store and at least one other person to check out customers as sometimes the lines are very long. Anyway I still like this store as their product selections and prices are on point.

I liked their produce dept. I shop Safeway often, but I like Luckys produce better. I downloaded their app. Ill do my next large shopping trip there for comparison. There was a larger and different selection of items I would like to try. They offered a choice of seeded or seedless watermelons. Safeway only sales seedless. I was ecstatic about that choice.

I absolutely just love love love love love the bakerys taste period so please take it from me and everyone else that buys your product.What I dont like is when I come in and shop big with myself and two year old daughter I am being followed and looked at like Im about to steal or something. This supermarket is the closest to my home. I only go here for convenience to do some shopping. It is okay for what they offer.The purpose of my visit this late afternoon was to use the coinstar machine. My husband had loads of quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. We had close to $157 in change. However, there was a processing fee of $19.73 for the cash voucher.I seldom see too many people doing grocery shopping here. I do like their deli and bakery sections, especially the fresh croissant sandwiches, salads, tamales, cornbread and donuts.

Lucky has always been good about cleanliness, stocked shelves, prices, selection and friendly services. With COVID, they were quick to control entrance, provide sanitizer, and clean baskets after every use. They have special hours for seniors and disabled.

My mother used to shop there so I go there a lot its always pretty cool.

I hadnt been there in years and I went there just the other day and of course I found some things less expensive than where I usually shop but thats give or take anywhere you go but they had a nice big selection of everything. I rate this lucky five stars

I like this supermarket because it is clean and well stocked. The produce is always fresh. The aisles are roomy. The store is pretty large and never feels crowded. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is plenty of parking, often right in front of the store. This is my favorite Lucky in the east bay by far.

Always a good spot to shop. The store is always kept very clean and the staff is always going out of their way. Even if they are busy they never make it seem like a problem to run to the other side of the store for you. Always a pleasure. Big parking lot too and lots of stuff in the nearby complex including sushi and a gym.

Luckys has always been my favorite food store to go to, first of all because of convenience. Easy to shop there. It is not overwhelming like some big stores are like Target and Walmart. You know you can get your food there decent price. And the people working there are friendly and can be helpful.UpdateTheres problem with getting the items that I need when I continue to go there, theyre not there! theyre not being replaced. One is gluten free bread. 2nd lactose-free half and half. Theres plenty the milk section lactose free nor half and half. And finding wines that does not have Surfer process in it. Its not separate from the rest of the wines! The same with the bread not separate from the other breads if gluten-free. They need to rearrange the store for convenient customers to shop

It was my first time at Lucky in Alameda. The store is very large inside and out. The store was clean and organized and well stocked before 8 am. There only two people finishing up, putting items on the selves. The workers were very friendly and asked me did I needed any help. They assisted in getting me a electric shopping cart and put my walker away. Its great to see that they have three electric shopping carts. I will be going back.

Not a perfect grocery store/supermarket, but does that even exist? Its one of several local places I regularly shop for groceries. Staff are helpful and friendly; many have been there as long as I can remember.

I have been shopping at this luckys for years and will continue to do so.Due to the coronavirus I shop at night 45 minutes before closing and usually on Sundays. This has happened in the past and again tonight that two cashiers was opened. The two cashier were opened side by side. To better social distance a cashier station should be closed in between the two open cashier. When I was paying for my groceries I had the two cashier, the person bagging my groceries and two customers in this area.Four of us were not even six feet apart. I had to ask one of the customers to stay back. Also there was two customers in the store that did not havemasks.

Its a lot faster than Safeway down the street

I like this location. You can generally find what you need. The cashiers are nice but service however can be a bit slow at times so pencil that portion into your visit. Parking is easy, store very organized and carts are usually available. Enjoy..

Safeway, take note: bigger is not always better. I enjoy shopping at this Luckys. It has the stuff you need for everyday life. And the cashiers are all friendly, theyll even start recognizing you if you go enough. Plus, they actually have cashiers working the lines when its busy unlike Safeway.

Lucky Supermarket has the best deals in town I tell all my friends about him I love their buy one get one free or five for five on their meats

This Lucky has improved significantly over the past 2 years. The selection and quality of the produce and fruits had the biggest improvements in freshness and quality. The meats also appeared much better and the ocassional 5 for $5 each meat deals can reduce the price by 30-40%. Thats hard to beat. The bakery section and deli section could still need some improvement compared to other grocery chains in the area.

The redo of this store is great. It really needed to be done. I have always liked this store but stopped going here as much when Safeway opened. I actually dislike Safeway for many reasons but it is convenient for me so... Anyway you can find things in this store that arent in other Alameda grocery stores if you look at everything. Anyway now that the floors have been redone and it doesnt feel so depressing Ill definitely be here more often.

Well stocked, conveniently located in busy strip center, full service grocery store. Free parking. Large produce section, many organics, some locally sourced. In store bakery, deli. Some vegan foods, national brands. Friendly personnel.

Great experience, the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They could easily tell me what aisle to find certain things and was easy to have a conversation with them. They have humongous artichokes on sale right now as big as your head. I was like, OMG I have to get some and I did.

The store seems run down and disorganized.I usually shop at Nob Hill but I had to meet someone in the nearby office complex and figured Id stop in and pick up a few items since I was there anyway. My son was with me.Im the typical overweight middle aged white guy. Im the guy no one notices. But for some reason the store security (the fact that there was uniformed security should have told me I was in a problem area.) seemed to be shadowing me from the moment I walked in.After going through the checkout, I stopped at the Customer service counter to buy a lottery ticket.Then another security guy stepped up and asked if there was something I needed.He seemed like he was trying to be intimidating. I held down the chuckle for the sake of politeness. I told him I would like a quick pick. He looked confused and stepped back allowing the actual clerk to sell me a Lotto ticket.As I was heading toward the door, the security guard whod been following me around the store, and the one I encountered at customer service were both there at the exit. They both smiled and said Have a nice day. in unison.My son and I both walked to the truck in silence. When we got to the vehicle, my son looked at me and said, Well that was incredibly weird. I agreed that it was more than a little creepy.Maybe the security guys were bored and decided to play mind games with some random customer and I was the lucky one but I truly expected someone to come out and tell me I was on some hidden camera show. Whatever the reason for such odd behavior, I wont be back. They do have better prices than either Nob Hill or Safeway but that experience was just too weird even for the Bay Area.It was a Saturday afternoon. When I first went in, I noticed the store had few cars in the lot and only a handful of shoppers. The other grocers in Alameda are generally jam packed on a Saturday afternoon. I though it odd at the time but upon reflection, it seems abundantly clear why there were so few shoppers.

I like to come here in the middle of the day during my lunch break for sandwiches at the deli. I used to have them made a lot but overtime oh, they stopped making them the way they used to. My absolute favorite here are the pre-made croissant sandwiches that are stuffed with chicken salad. But I guess someone complained about not wanting cheese on it so they dont put cheese on any of them. Theres been more than one time that I had to request cheese and they seemed irritated. Wouldnt it make more sense to make half with cheese and half without so people that want to get out of it and people that dont want it dont have to have it? Or put the cheese to the side so that people that want to use it can use it? But Im not going to tell them how to run the store because I dont grocery shop there, I only come here during my lunch break hoping to find a break on a scratcher buying my pre-made sandwiches. Since this grocery store is near my job, I can only say how it is during the middle of the day when its most likely for me to stop by there. Self checkout and parking is a plus at all so thats probably what makes it so convenient to go here.
