Will not go back. Charged us to use a debit card and then went back to get their hog fuel priced at $29 in the office and he wanted to charge us $42 a yard and would not honor his price he had marked in the product -stay away!!!

Had a very positive experience after a recommendation from my neighbor. The first time I called, I was put on hold for a few minutes because it was pretty busy. Once on the line, I was given some prices and some advice on my particular situation in a courteous and helpful fashion. When I called back a little while later, I was able to get right through to the same person that took my call earlier who happened to remember me.Since I had never ordered from such a place, I expected to give them a week or so notice for a delivery. They informed me they could even do it same day as I placed the order. The prices were also much better than Home Depot or Lowes where I had been going. Very impressed.When the scheduled time arrived, the driver was right on time in delivering the compost that I ordered and made a point to drop it right where I needed it for my project, even doing some fancy maneuvering to get it in the exact spot to reduce the work I needed to do.It was a great first experience and I look forward to doing business with The Bark Place again for my future home projects.

Was charged lot more than the posted price. When tried to contact the owner was told that owner is not available then or later. Tried several times but was never able to talk to the owner. Have lost hope.

We had a lousy experience. The owner (of supposedly 27 years) who was the driver today - lacked the courtesy and expertise to deposit 7 yards of bark on our drive way. In all our years of giving business to Bark Place, weve never had trouble with any of the drivers who were very skilled.All the owner could do during this transaction was complain about gravity not helping him and his truck. Well, gravity sure did not pose a problem in the years earlier unless to my knowledge it has changed over the last 10 years. Neither did an apology come out for leaving bark on the multi-use pathway that we ended up shoveling.While weve used them for for last 10 years, I recommend not to use him for your landscaping needs.

Easy people to deal with and very smart

Do not follow their hours. I called and was told the store closed at 5:30 PM. At 4:30pm the doors were locked and no one was there.
