We wanted to purchase 5 hybrid water heaters for our rental property in Schenectady and this company wouldn’t take a credit card! They wanted a bank check only! I never heard of such a ridiculous demand! I would not recommend this company!!!

I found the A.O.Smith natural gas water heater here at this location for my current home. I tried other retailers but they either were out of stock or didnt carry A.O.Smith.My buddy in my work office pointed me to this company to get an A.O.Smith water heater as a replacement heater for my previous home several years ago, which I was happy to get installed, with good results.

Ive dealt with Security twice. Once by choice and once without realizing it.The first time was several years back when renovating a bathroom. They were all yess and very helpful when purchasing a counter and mirror set for our bathroom, but no one there ever checked the contractors measurements against what they were selling us and the mirrors (separate piece) did not fit. We left them new in the box but they would not accept them back or deal with us, forcing us to deal with another company they sourced them from. We ended up taking a loss and wasting a good deal of time dealing with this other company. Abysmal customer service.In the more recent incident, Security was used by a contractor we employed to source material, unknown to us. Had I know they were considering purchasing from Security I would have forbid it.The shower doors they gave us leaked and it has been over a year of run around, phone calls going unanswered, lack of call backs, excuses, and non-action from Security. Again they are basically trying to pan us off on third party contractors to fix it or referring us to another company. No one there takes responsibility and they have been difficult to deal with again.If it were possible to leave zero stars I would but you have to give a star to post a review. Buyer beware if you shop here.

We love the shower door! It is modern and frameless which makes it easy to clean. Rosanne was very professional and helped us select the right shower door and recommend someone to install them as soon as the door was delivered.

Stopped by quickly toward closing. Sales girl was excellent! So knowledgeable and not pushy! We will definitely be back.

These guys refuse to stand behind their products. My plumber bought a zone control, which was bad out of the box. They refused to return it or even exchange it.Stay away from their horrible products.

This place is a hidden gem. If you need any plumbing supply, this is the place. Selection is unreal and pricing is just a good as big box stores. The attendants there are also very friendly and helpful. Again- its a hidden gem!

Naturally, on the hottest day of the year our central air stopped working. Being an older American Standard unit, parts were very difficult to find locally. In desperation I called Security Supply - Albany hoping there was a chance they would have comparable replacement parts. Kevin spent several minutes on the phone with me discussing what my options were, and that they had a “rescue motor“ in stock! Kevin’s knowledge ended up saving me a ton of money! It turns out all I needed was a capacitor. Unfortunately security supply didn’t have the specific capacitor I needed in stock, however Kevin’s expertise was very much appreciated and far exceeded the customer service I experienced from other places while searching. Thank you Security Supply!

I recently ordered an entire bathrooms worth of fixtures from Security. My salesperson, Jackie Wojtusik, was an absolute delight to work with. She was so knowledgeable and pleasant that it was an very positive experience.

I purchased a Kohler Simplice Kitchen faucet from Security Plumbing & Heating several months ago. The staff was very accommodating, and stressed that there was a lifetime warranty. I eventually hired a plumber to install it. To my disappointment, I noticed it leaking from the on/off handle within a few days!!! I videotaped this. I had to pay my plumber to come back to take a look at it. He said that the new faucet was defective. He stated that hed contact Security Plumbing & Heating Supply in Albany, NY (whom he had recommended to me), and would replace the faucet. I hadnt heard back from him, so I contacted the store (sending the video). I asked them to honor their Lifetime warranty. They advised me that they are sending me a cartridge instead. I had paid $301.94 for this faucet, and have since paid $50 to pay a plumber to replace cartridge (the plumber even told me that he sees a lot of problems with Kohler products, and wont buy them)! I wont buy Kohler again. I was disappointed in Security Plumbing in not being more accommodating handling a complaint about a brand new faucet being defective.
