Stopped in today to upgrade from our current mattress. Ours was just to firm. We have hip pain, and back pain. We were greeted by Paula. We told her our issues. Paula was very knowledgeable about our needs. Of course like any good sales person, Paula took us to the best one. It was probably much more than we thought we would spend. But we tried a lot more. But after Paula explained the pros and cons of each. We decided that a good night sleep, without pain is worth it. So we did go with the first one. This was not forced on us. But Paulas knowledge was made the difference. We do have a 30 day trial. So until then I will reserve judgement on the mattress, but not Paula. Over all a very pleasant experience.

Much to my amazement I spent almost 2 hours at the Albany store today. I had spoken to Serg on the phone prior to my visit. Serg was there when I dropped in this afternoon. He understands beds and his customers needs. After asking me about my sleep habits and physical issues we began by having me try a variety beds. We narrowed down what felt good to me. The orientation and the demostration was good but when I wanted to go to another store, or to get a cheaper price or to just think about it, didnt sit well with the store personel... if I want to make any decision, Is my right to do so. Dont like to be push to do things in a hurry, specially when it is not the only store in the USA. I wouldnt impose my self or anything on nobody, never. Next time let the customer deside plz.

Spencer was great! He took the time to show us different mattresses and explained the benefits of each. He never pressured us to make any purchase or pushed us toward any particular brand. He gave us time alone to talk things over and let us make the decision as to what mattress best fit our needs. He was very knowledgeable and a friendly guy, which resulted in this being a very positive purchase experience.

The store manager was extremely helpful. She was friendly and very resourceful. She called around to several stores in the region to secure a box spring that I needed. She was able to secure a similar model in her store and also sold me medal bed frame. He help saved me time and a lot of driving around. My experience with Steve Martin from your Clifton Park store exceeded my expectations. I had some very specific needs and Steve guided me to the right product. When after the sale, we ran into a couple of glitches, Steve was right there to make the changes and adjustments I needed. He was responsive, accommodating and always cheerful to deal with. Metro Mattress is very fortunate to have Steve as a sales consultant.

Just purchased my second mattress from Metro. The first purchase was 10 years ago, and just like the first experience, today was no different. I spent a total of 1 1/2 hours with the most patient and knowledgeable salesperson, Chris. He allowed me to safely lay on several mattresses until I made my selection. He wasnt pushy in any way. He knew exactly what to say to help me select my first Tempurpedic mattress, versus a pillow top. Really, my decision was made in 15 minutes; the rest of the time was just chatting it up and digging the rain. If youre in the market for a new bed, go see Chris.

My wife and I after surviving the flood in schoharie went to Metro Mattress. They sold us a Trump Queen size. They said it was the best bed they had. At this time we had been sleeping in our car for over two weeks. My son had us move in with him as he had an apartment here in Albany. MISTAKE. Everyone was rude and obnoxious. The bed was around 1,000. Said it would last the rest of our lives. Well it did for my wife. I wish I could let you all see this thing.Its a disgrace. There are so many sunken spots you cant even roll over. You might have to climb out but thats about it. Sleazy. Maybe now its different but go with one eye open and watch your back. Im looking to once more get a new mattress but not from these people. Good Luck!

This place is awful. Staff is way too pushy! Customer service goes out the window when you feel bombarded by pressure. They have great beds at a decent price but go somewhere else if youre looking to explore options before making such a big purchase! Ended up buying our bed from Bobs simply because of the no pressure attitude. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy!

Josh and Paula were excellent to deal with for the purchase of a mattress set for my child. *** Unfortunately, I have to update this review to report that while the in store experience was solid, the follow through was not. The paperwork was not processed properly and Josh and Paula failed to schedule us for delivery. When I tried to confirm the delivery with the store the day before they had allegedly scheduled it, I was brushed off and told to wait for a call or just look it up on the website. Chris at the Wold Road store deserves special recognition for being unwilling to answer my questions or address the problem on three separate phone calls and for ultimately casting all of the blame on his colleague (Josh) leaving it to him to fix the mistake. Josh acknowledged his mistake and is fixing it. I appreciate that. Chris passed the buck and left his colleague out to dry, that is inexcusable.

Paula provided exceptional customer service during my mattress purchase. In an era of mattresses in a box, it is a relief to still be able to physically feel your bed especially with my very bad back. But with COVID restrictions and concerns, I wasnt sure an in store visit would be best. Well, I called her before I moved from downstate and she put me at ease over the phone before I even made my big move to Albany. I called her when I was settled, we arranged a timed appointment due to my personal COVID concerns and to my relief, she was just as conscientious as I was and took every precaution to make me feel safe and comfortable while making such a big purchase. In store, she put me at ease with her professionalism and exceptional customer service. I walked out beyond happy with my purchase and we received our mattress 2 days later! Amazon cannot even expedite delivery like that these days!! The delivery crew was prompt, courteous and also complying with COVID restrictions. Receiving it was as much a breeze as purchasing it. Please trust me, if you are looking for a new mattress and are not interested in those in the box ones, call Paula- she has you covered.Thank you Paula!

I ordered a mattress at the Wolf Road store in Colonie NY on the day the stores were suddenly closing because of COVID-19. I ordered a queen-size but the order was entered wrong and a full-size was delivered. The driver couldn’t exchange it at the store and couldn’t take it back to the warehouse to exchange it for the right one because everything was shutting down, so we were stuck with a mattress that was the wrong size. When the store re-opened, I went in to exchange the queen-size mattress cover I had bought (to go with the correct mattress) for a full-size. I mentioned the error in the order several times to the clerk, who was the same person who had entered the order incorrectly; I expected that she would at least apologize for the error and the inconvenience of having had the wrong size mattress delivered, but no apology was forthcoming. She said nothing, took no responsibility. That lack of customer service will make me think twice about shopping at Metro Mattress again.

The difference in experience and expertise in the sales associate at metro mattress versus a general furniture store makes a huge difference. Great service. The adjustable beds are best and successful in being useful for those like myself who have lower back challenges and during the months Im in my scooter. This bed is so amazing in helping me slide in and out of the bed unlike the hard bed frames that dont adjust, for the challenges any of us may have as the bed in return provides comfort for our pain. Service was good, although a bit of a hard sell at first to buy an expensive bed. Once we told them our budget they helped us find something that met our needs. We also bought sheets for the motorized bed and had an issue with the first sheet set, but they upgraded us and the second set seems to be much better quality. I suggest buying at least the middle grade if youre going for sheets. The low end ones literally shredded within a week of use.

From the moment we walked in Kim was there to help with anything we needed. She was very knowledgeable about how people sleep certain ways and how each way is worse or better for your body and a good nights sleep.

We went in last Saturday just to get educated about the market on a new bed and Jen on Wolf Rd was so friendly and knowledgeable that we bought a bed that day!
