My husband and I just bought our first house and we were in need of a couch. Taft was the right choice! The show room was clean, organized and prices were clear. Unfortunately because of COVID there is long wait times for most of the couches (which I beleive goes for most places currently) but the workers were helpful with giving estimates and looking up different couches. Fortunately for us we found a couch that was in stock! Prices are unbeatable for the quality and sizes of the couches.Melissa G helped us today. She was incredible. Sweet, efficient and funny. She was a huge breath of fresh air and was so fun and such a joy.If you haven’t yet.. check out Taft. You won’t be dissapointed!

HORRIBLE customer service in the service department. If I can give 0 stars I would. Never will I buy furniture from here ever again. They delivered a defective piece and refuse to replace it but “fix” it. They tried to fix it once and brought it back with more issues then we had before. We are a repeat customer and also have family who has spent a lot of money with Taft over the years. The furniture should come new and no issues. We waited MONTHS for our delivery just to have it come defective. The manger of service department is rude and lacks customer service competency. Bring your business elsewhere save yourself money and the headache.Reply to taft- you brought it back to fix it once, and then dropped it off with more than just a squeak. Which I explained to 3 different people. Again this was supposed to be BRAND NEW. I was “disconnected” which you didn’t care about. When we spoke your customer service is horrible within the service department. You do not care about your customers just the $. We declined you to “fix” it again because of your customer service. We are going elsewhere to replace it. We will enjoy our weekend.

I was so excited to receive my sofa (purchased in November). When it finally arrived in February the cushion was worn in and all of the pillows were ripped, some with stuffing coming out of the seams, some with missing seams, some with the seams inside out. I contacted taft 8 times via email and called [I have no idea] how many times. I didnt receive any response until today (3/12/21) after I had to be pushy on my last call. My cushion is thankfully on order however- nothing can be done about the pillows. I sent photos as requested via email immediately. Finally, I just threw the pillows out because what am I supposed to do with them?? Taft decided to call me back today, 7 weeks after my original contact date stating they need the pillows in person to inspect them. But you asked me for photos and said that was all you needed 7 weeks ago??? I have no issues with the product coming in damaged, things happen and I totally get that. But the lack of customer service thus far has been less than spectacular. I just want someone to realize that I was expecting my brand new perfect couch and I received a less than stellar product. I also spent a couple hundred dollars on the additional insurance plan for the sofa... still nothing. :(

Love the new furniture for my family room. Taft had a large selection of styles to pick from and the staff were very helpful and not pushy. The delivery people were very polite, assembled some of the pieces and cleaned up. Will definitely go back for future purchases.

I had a great experience at Taft.(thanks Tom!). I spent almost an hour picking out a mattress and never felt rushed or persuaded to look at one particular brand. I was so impressed with the service that I decided to go ahead and order the couch set I had picked out prior to this visit.My mattress was delivered yesterday at the beginning of the time range I was given. I received a text letting me know that the delivery people were 10 minutes away and also received a picture of the lead delivery person as a security measure...love that!Randy and his coworker had my old mattress removed and my new mattress set up in under a half hour! They were very courteous and removed all the wrapping and cardboard when they were done.It was a really hot day, so I made sure they left with some cold bottled water along with a tip....which was well deserved!Thank you, Taft, for a great experience from start to finish! I cant wait to get my couch set.

We came here last Monday evening with a couple of couches in mind. The online inventory and what we were able to see in store was very accurate which was nice. We saw the couches and were immediately assisted by Melissa who was wonderful. Dominick and Myriah checked us out and were super helpful and informative. Our couches ended up being ready for pick up by Saturday! I’ve never had such a quick and easy furniture buying experience. Will definitely use Taft in the future.

They did not have in stock or on display many reclining sofas that are on there website. Salesman I dealt with seemed super annoyed and not happy with his occupation. He informed me the website was often INCORRECT! Most of there inventory seems like it is poor quality. Sofas that are on display that are on clearance are litterally falling apart. I picked a piece up turned it over and saw why PLASTIC SCREWS HOLDING IT TOGETHER ! PLASTIC SCREWS PEOPLE ! If you want throw away furniture go here.....good for a few years. Long term furniture stay away.

Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with any business. Ordered a couch mid April and was told it would be in store by end of may due to covid. I understood that and ordered anyway.Ended up getting pushed back another few weeks which again nothing they could do so I understood.Got a scheduled delivery and a truck broke down so they had to schedule again. Was told I’d get my delivery fee back and never did. And it only gets worse. I FINALLY got my couch end of august just to have the delivery team put multiple holes and scrapes in the hall bringing it up the stairs. They never should have attempted if they thought it was too small.I’ve called time and time again just it be told they’ll call me back. They finally call after weeks and say they’ll call me on Monday when the guy comes in to fix the damage they caused and that call never came. Called again and got nowhere. Finally just caved and fixed it myself. NEVER again will I go back to Taft.

Yesterday I came to Taft furniture and bought a table set from them for $500. I bought it on location and they had put it in the truck. I got home and began building it. I could not believe how beat up the table was, it was brand new! It did not even make it to UPS it was handed straight to me. This table isn’t going to last long at all.

Such an amazing experience all around with Taft Furniture and will make sure to spread the word! When choosing and purchasing our furniture, the gentleman that helped was incredible and very knowledgeable. When the furniture was being delivered the drivers were honest and let us know there was some damage they noticed when loading the truck. The drivers tried and tried to get our couch in our second story apartment and it just wasn’t working through either the front or rear entrance. Brian and Pico had the idea to lift it up over our balcony and successfully got our couch into our apartment. Most would’ve given up, but they were determined and it ended with a very happy customer!!!!! Will definitely be coming back to Taft!

Worked with Tom ordering new mattresses and box springs as well as living room furniture. As Im renovating the house, needed bedrooms items delivered 1st then rest on hold till renovations complete.Tom was able to get an earlier delivery date for bedding as Ive been sleeping on couch for over 2 months.The young men that did the delivery and set up were fast, efficient and super sweet. The 3 hour window delivery of 1:30 to 4:30 was spot on with them arriving at 1:30. It was like hitting the lottery. Hope these guys will be delivering the rest of my order when the house is done.Had my 1st good night sleep in months in the new bed no more sleeping on the couch for me.Would definitely recommend Taft and look forward to working with them again.

I was told my delivery would be at my new home between 12:30 and 3:30 pm. I received a text at 12:15 informing me that they would be here in less then 10 minutes.. the two men were terrific. I don’t know where to start. The mattress guy helped me basically redo my whole house, which was my first mistake. My couch was 6 weeks after he said, then it was the wrong color. The salesman described the picture of the couch I wanted as 2 separate prices like a sectional, needless to say it was not 2 pieces and it did not fit. It was also supposed to be blue and it was grey. I drove to the store immediately after the delivery men left. I was in the store for at least fifteen minutes and made it to the back of the store before an employee even said hello and acknowledged my presence. I had to go to the information desk and get help. I walked around with the employee who was very apologetic and helpful and showed her each new item I wanted as my other order I cancelled. She did move up the delivery instead of waiting again. Yesterday my furniture was delivered and it was NOT the dining room table that I should the salesperson. When I called they did offer to come and switch it out. I said unless they would do it today or tomorrow because this is now their second mistake then I will just keep this one. They could not accommodate switching their mistake. I realize I am one person but I will no longer shop there

The sales staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Looking around in the store was an extremely pleasant experience. Buying the furniture was straight forward and simple. The two young men who delivered the furniture were fantastic and polite. The only issue was the amount of time it took from time of purchase to time of delivery, that was nearly two months. In spite of that I would highly recommend this store if you are looking for home furnishings, they have everything!

We waited for 6months for our special order sectional which wasnt that bad. The woman at the customer service phone was always very informed about our order. They actually called us a couple times to let us know the status of our order. After waiting for such a crazy amount of time (due to the manufacturer) not Taft they actually delivered our furniture and brought it into the correct room. I will say the two gentlemen that delivered the furniture one was absolutely the BEST the other gentlemen was not that friendly he made it seem like he wasnt interested in bringing my furniture in. The gentlemen that was the driver and maybe the supervisor was absolutely amazing.

The sales experience was seamless; we worked with Roc and he was, and continues to be, excellent. We ordered a custom sectional and power recliner. He walked us through everything, was honest about delivery times, and has updated us through the process. We have received the sectional so far, which came in earlier than planned, but we are still waiting on the recliner. This is no issue, though, since the expected date for it to arrive is still ahead of schedule. Even if it comes later and shows up when it when advised it would, we will be happy. I work in sales, myself, so I am happy to say he hasnt steered us wrong, and Roc has over delivered. The team of delivery drivers were wonderful, as well. They set it up without a hitch, and took the packaging materials with them. What really stood out, though, is they washed their hands before handling the couch as it is in light in color, and they didnt want any dirt or debris from the truck to transfer onto the new sectional when unwrapped. Its little things like this that make the experience even better. The updates along the way, confirmations, and delivery handling are all appreciated. I hope not to have to buy another new set any time soon, but for any future furniture purchases, we would definitely go to Taft again. Looking forward to the recliner coming soon, and then we plan for some new bedroom sets!

Look elsewhere. Bought a sofa and coffee table and told it would be delivered mid October. We ordered this in Early May but figured due to Covid that long of a wait was understandable. Though they called to say it would be delivered earlier in July. That didnt happen though they said it would be delivered in September. That didnt happen and whenever we call we get a run around. So frustrating!

I visited Taft back in April and picked out a sofa, chair and ottoman. Doug was fantastic and explained that due to the pandemic there would be a delay which I completely understood. The delay honestly worked for me because I had to repaint my living room to match the furniture I chose Taft kept in touch with me about delays in shipping every month. When they realized delivery may not happen as soon as they thought I was invited back to the show room to inspect the floor model for delivery or choose different furniture. I chose the floor model and it was delivered to my home. Thank you for keeping me in the loop and I love the new living room! I will be in the market for a dining room set soon and Taft will be my first stop. Thank you to Doug and Taft furniture!!

Very poor experience. We spent over $13000 at Schenectady NY branch but we are still waiting for the set to be completed and it’s gonna be one year soon. The manager is so rude and nonprofessional. It’s better to spend a few hundred dollars extra at some other place rather than buying incomplete sets from TAFT.

I want to preface this by saying that I am taking the pandemic and all that comes with it into consideration.My experience with Taft has been a roller coaster ride. We purchased a sectional and was given an approximate date for availability which it far superseded. I’m not mad about that, what I’m mad about is the sales person giving me her personal guarantee twice that it wouldn’t be later than a specific date and it was, both times. Just tell the truth and say you don’t know.We ended up canceling the order because of our frustrations. We went back and ordered another sectional a little while later and this time the salesman (different one) said he can’t guarantee anything, which I was happy to hear the honesty. He was super nice up until the sale was completed. I called back to ask a question a few days later and he was extremely rude. Hung up the phone prematurely on me.Then we were finally given a delivery date which is 2 weeks later than availability of the couches and a 3hr timeframe for delivery. The couches never showed up. I called and they stated one of their delivery drivers quit. Again, I’m not upset about the driver quitting or the couches not showing for that reason. They never bothered to call and let me know it was rescheduled to 2 day’s later. I wasted 3 hours of my day waiting on them and I had to call to find out if they were coming or not.Lastly, their drivers when my couches did arrive, wouldn’t take off their shoes or wear the booties I provided. I had to argue with them and then they agreed to taking off their shoes. The only reason this isn’t a 1 Star is because the quality of the product is good outside of that Taft sucks! 0 customer service post sale. 🗑

First of all, the Ashley sofa is beautiful, exceeded my expectations! The whole process was excellent. Of course, due to COVID, my delivery was delayed, but that did not bother me at all. My sales representative (I believe Joey) was excellent, honest and professional. The service department was always great when I called to check on the order. However, the best day was when I received the sofa. The team that delivered to me (5/23) was EXCELLENT. They were friendly, funny, professional and they had me up and running in no time. Purchased a $1700 Bedroom set. Taft Delivery Personnel dropped the Dresser right out of the truck and damaged it on 10/12. They took it back and said someone will call me. On 10/16 (4 days later) I personally call them since no one call me. Spoke to the Service Dept (still no apology) who said a new one will be delivered on 11/06....... I asked if they have the Dresser in stock and she said YES.... Now Im wondering why the HELL I have to wait until Nov 06 for the dresser if they have it in stock and it was Tafts employee who damaged the Dresser? Since I was already unhappy with the service and felt I was lied to regarding the dresser being in stock I just said OK and hung up. We will see on November 06, 2021 who TAFT FURNITURE REALLY IS!!

I purchased a sofa in the month of June and They told me 4-6 weeks of delivery. After 8 weeks they said to me that it will take another 3-4 months of time to delivery which is not fair at all and TAFT charged me full amount of money. Now they told me to take some other instock furniture or they are ready to process my refund. I am not happy with their business and I wont recommend at any one. I would like to recommend TAFT is, please sell only Instock items. Please dont take the orders and fool the customers

****DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE****This is a scam company that pulls people in on 0 interest financing and false delivery dates, and then delays them for months. We were told we would have our furniture back in mid May, but then it was delayed until June. When June came around, it got delayed until July. Now that we are in July, THEY SAID IT WILL BE HERE IN AUGUST!! My salesman has been ducking my calls left and right and I feel bad that the nice ladies that work up front are the ones that have to deal with the backlash from these scam sales tactics. Save your time and go to a place that’s actually REPUTABLE!!!

Purchased an adjustable bed frame and mattress. Was delivered quickly, but when I asked about warranty paperwork or instructions for programming the remote, the delivery person said he didnt have any and all the information I needed was on the mattress tag. I called the store to find out how to program the remote and if there was warranty paperwork as we had paid for an extra warranty. After being transferred a few times and getting voicemail, I called back and spoke with someone who said he would have our salesperson call us back. Still no phone call. I consider this very poor customer service and will need to call back again to try to get the needed information.

We love the dresser we bought. This particular piece had to be ordered so we ordered on line and about 5-10 minutes later someone called us to verify all our info. We really liked that we did not have to go in the store and that made the purchase so easy for us. About 3-4 weeks later (ahead of projected schedule) they called us to schedule the delivery on a day that was good for us. The delivery guys were amazing, they were so friendly and followed instructions perfectly! Overall we had the best experience. Thank you!

The buying part is great we found a reclining loveseat that was beautiful and comfortable to sit in, so we got it. We were told the Earliest for delivery would be three weeks, the date was set, so we waited and on that day I received a call from Taft saying that Unfortunately they were unable to deliver on that date do to somebody calling out from the delivery department. After already waiting 3 weeks I was told I had to wait Another week for delivery. To add insult to injury the only thing they could do was refund the assembly cost which was $70 out of spending $970 dollars we spent on the loveseat.

LET’S TRY THIS OUTLET WITH TAFT CONSIDERING ALL OTHER DIRECT CENTRAL ALBANY LOCATION OPTIONS HAVE FAILED!CHECK OUT MY NEW $5,300 BEDROOM SET (REFER TO THEIR FACEBOOK SITE FOR PICS) THAT WAS DELIVERED Thursday 9/16/2021 from TAFT FURNITURE ON CENTRAL AVENUE IN ALBANY, NY!As you can see, they have yet to COMPLETE INSTALLATION!Unfortunately, the incorrect wood slats supports were delivered (Queen instead of King) and PROMISED a return visit on MONDAY 9/20/2021 in order to be rectified.Well, that didn’t happen. So, multiple calls have led to multiple phone extensions to voicemails since MONDAY. NO RECIPRICATION!As of today 9/21/2021, I have yet to enjoy such a LARGE PURCHASE and sleeping in another room. Not to mention my mattress and box springs are leaning against one wall in what is to be my NEW room.Hardware and instructions still placed where they left them in order to COMPLETE THE INSTALL.Not sure what other outlet I need to communicate through to receive a response from TAFT considering I have been calling the location, specifically, and they have yet to deliver results.#BuyersRemorse #5300BeforeTaxes

I recently helped my Dad shop for a few pieces of furniture he needed. We had a great experience at Taft, the salesman was easy to work with, with no pressure as my Dad was looking for a specific loveseat he wanted. The salesman had no issues to go and keep checking the computer to see what was available. The delivery went smooth, it was nice that they let you know a few days ahead of time unlike other furniture stores that call the morning of. They had plenty of stock on what we were looking for, we had gone to another store prior who couldnt get a couch for months.

So the place is large and has a wide variety of furniture however the staff was looking at us like we werent supposed to be there. Prices were ok. There was a general musty smell and my allergies acted up after going here, so be careful if such things affect you too.

Barely over a year old and this is how our couch looks. Springs poking threw, metal showing, material coming apart, stuffing coming out of the footrest. I contacted Taft and because it was 1 year and 2 months they wouldn’t do anything for me. The quality of this furniture is awful and the customer service is just as bad. I definitely would not recommend them.

Over the years service has gone down hill, I am not sure if it is due to COVID or what. I have tried for several months to get an issue resolved. Back in June 2021 I surprise my daughter for her birthday to go to Taft’s to pick out a dining room set, she did that it was fine, delivery was not until July 2021 and that was ok also.. The issue I am having is when the delivery guys came they damaged a chair, I have been trying to get this chair replaced it is now September, I spoke to a Deirdre who tells me to send an email with pics of the damage and she will call me back to say she got the email. This NEVER happened, I call again in September 2 and get connected once again to a voicemail to leave a message. I can see if the damage was my fault but it was NOT.. The fault is with the delivery person who probably no longer work for the company.. WHO KNOWS however, this is unacceptable TAFT FURNITURE NEED TO DO BETTER. You get 1 star only from me.

Roc and Melissa guided me through the showroom with knowledge and no pressure. It was great that they pool commission, so the awkward feeling of speaking with twosales agents was non existent! The choices were varied. Delivery scheduling was easy. The men who delivered were on time, courteous and efficient. A wonderful experience!

*TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE*Initial storeroom purchase was fine, no issue with Salesman. We understood due to Covid, we could expect a delay in manufacturing. Once the product was on site at Taft and the delivery scheduling began, that is when the horrible experience began. Delivery was scheduled so my living room was cleared of furniture. The called and rescheduled for two days later, then again two days later and then finally called (two minutes prior to the delivery window ending) to tell us it was not coming and they couldnt promise us delivery by end of month (This was on the 10th).The discount and free protection plan did not make up for the huge inconvenience of not having our furniture.If you must buy from Taft, pick up the product yourself and do not trust delivery dates.

I loved this place because they are very helpful. I didnt find that people were pushy and are very helpful. The sales woman that helped me took her time to help me match and pick out pieces and was with me every step of the way. I would recommend anyone to go there and I guarantee you will have the same excellent experience.

Taft was as advertised! Great prices and even better staff. The only thing that they couldnt come through on was a military discount but the prices were the best in the area. Purchased a brand new bedroom set with the white glove service. GET THE WHITE GLOVE SERVICE. Its the best offer (under $100) compared to any other furniture store in the area, guaranteed. The movers who showed up with our purchase were prompt, courteous and professional. Arrived at the house at 10:15am, unloaded the truck, set everything up in the bedroom and were pulling out of the driveway by 11:00am. Could not believe how quick they were. Forgot to mention what amazing quality furniture Taft has to offer as well! What a great overall experience!

Ive used Taft for almost all of my furniture needs. They are very helpful and friendIy. I have ordered in person and online and I highly recommend ordering in person. My last order, I tried out the online ordering. The item looked to be in stock, nothing stating it wasnt. I got a call right after I ordered it saying it was a backorder. OK. I had a little time before I was moving so it worked out. My move in day came, the date the bed was supposed to come in, came and went. We finally got the bed 3 months later. (5 months total wait time) and it was delivered in the box. Every time I have ordered, there was a flat rate of $150 I believe for delivery and set up. I didnt have that option online and it was $120 for delivery in the box. So my one tip would be, speak to someone before ordering online. We were disappointed with that but the bed set is great and they kept in contact about our order status when it was backordered.

I have shopped at this store with my family literally my entire life. I can remember going in as a kid and climbing into the giant chair, which is still there. As an adult, I have made several purchases over the years. But I haven’t had to buy too much because everything lasts so long! I still have my first living room set I bought 16 years ago. 5 years ago we bought a new mattress from Taft and 2 recliners. And recently we just purchased a bed frame and new side tables and a new couch.

Our experience was horrible. We ordered a bedroom set in October and we’re told the estimated delivery date would be mid-November. After Thanksgiving I made my first call to check in on the order. I was then told that it wouldn’t be until late December. This was extremely aggravating because I needed to follow up with them to be told my stuff was going to be nearly a month later than planned and I would’ve appreciated a call to let me know that.I called another time just before late December to see if everything was still on track. They let me know a couple of my items were in and they were waiting on the rest. I said great thank you.I called after New Years to find out parts were still delayed but they were only missing one more part. I feel I should’ve gotten a call about that before my order was late for a second time. I called a second time in mid-January where they informed me they were only missing three more parts now (completely different from what they told me just two weeks earlier).I finally got a call at the end of January that the order was in. And I scheduled delivery, for two weeks later.The delivery team was wonderful, kind, and courteous. But the customer service team was horrific, unresponsive, and did not communicate anything with me over this whole 4.5 month ordeal. Never shopping there again.

Were redoing so much of our house, and had looked at Huck Finns yesterday, but today we found everything we wanted here at TAFT. We were assisted by Mel who was exceptional: helpful, thorough, knowledgeable (but happy to seek answers for questions she didnt know) and most importantly, patient. We pieced together disparate items from across the store with ease.The only negative: even though we were there during a Presidents Day sale, I did not think that the prices were terrific. But selection and service was.

I am very happy with my experience with Taft furniture. Ordering my new furniture was easy. They contacted me when there was a delay in delivery and kept me informed. When my items did arrive they were very good about setting up a delivery time. The gentlemen who delivered my furniture were wonderful. Overall a great experience. We would definitely order from them again in the future.
