I ordered new countertops as they did a great job with my moms house. They also had decent prices for granite. I was upgrading from laminate. They came and took measurements. I went into the store and chose the countertops I wanted. Included with the price is them removing the old countertops. They never explained the process and that I needed to hire someone to unhook my plumbing and gas line to my stove. Only after I asked did they tell me this. So I hired someone to do that including removing teh old countertops. They also asked if I wanted a backsplash. I said no because I planned on putting up glass tile. The first encounter they came and left my door open letting flies and other bugs into my home. Total disrespect of my home. I literally had to stand by the door every time they left and returned to open and close the door. We had everything moved out of the way and ready for them to work, which they did. After inspecting the work they did not install the lip above the counters. I called and was told that I didnt ask for backsplash. I explained what blacksplash meant to me and they said that was not what they meant. Ok. small thing. Ill just extend my tile. They also took the payment. I asked 3 times if they took off the charge to remove the countertops. They said they did. I paid and then looked at the invoice. They did not. I had to go in and get a check becaus ethey dont do refunds. But my card was charged with no issues. (I digress). One counter was not flush with the stove. One run was too long that did not allow me to open my refigerator all of the way. The bracket they installed was holding up nothing but air. When they finally came back to fix these errors, I was told they did the job right, I purchased the wrong refigerator, my walls werent level (I live in a 100+ year old townhome...nothing is level). I stated that all of these appliances were installed when they took the measurements. They wanted to put a hole in the walls to push the cabinets back. I said no. You extended by 2 inches and those inches are precious. They finally did fix it but they left dust all over my appliances and did not clean up the mess. I lieterally had to yell at them to do the fix. I gave them 2 stars due to the quality of the product. This business needs to work on its transparancy, customer service & communication, and managing expectations. All of which I discussed with them and it fell on deaf ears. I will never use them again.
Ive used Magic kitchen for over 6 houses. They are very efficient, with quick delivery and very attractive prices. They have recently added an installation charge which prior projects was never before added. Ive recommended them to several people and they themselves were also pleased.
We had a wonderful experience with the company from the start. The show room has a great selection of stone and cabinets, staff answered all the questions we had with great detail and we were WOWd by the price. Process was about 2-3 weeks from start to finish. Absolutely satisfied with our experience and will recommend to all friends/family looking for a kitchen upgrade!
I decided to try Magic Kitchen based on previous Google reviews of contractors that had repeatedly used them. It can be overwhelming with all the granite/quartz countertop places out there. I liked that their prices were clearly marked in their showroom. There was no gimmick, just great prices and customer service. We chose our granite countertop, one of the many included edges and a nice modern upgraded stainless steel sink. Henry was our contact and he was very accommodating. Henry was at the house the next day to measure and our countertops were installed ten days later! A three man crew showed up and were gone in an hour. A fast efficient install with attention to detail. It fit perfectly and they left no mess behind. I know the box stores can’t match their prices and had hidden costs added in for seamless counters and simple edges. We are extremely satisfied with the quality, price, and customer service. I doubt other companies can compete.
They were recommended by a home inspector who had used them We had granite countertops installed a couple of years ago from the central ave showroom in albany. Good selection of stones and cabinets on display. The prices of the stones were very good and we decided to upgrade ten dollars psf. The showroom staff was courteous and helpful. A representative arrived on time to take measurements and promptly provided a computer generated drawing of cabinets and countertops with an estimate. We opted to keep the cabinets and had the granite countertops installed. The installers were courteous and professional. They did a good job. I would use them again and I would recommend them to others.
Shopped around quite a lot for new kitchen countertops, these guys had the best price and were very helpful in the install. We had to level some of the counters and they did it for a reasonable price. Will definitely use again!
I am a contractor for 15+ years. Hands down the best service and prices in the area. No lie I have used Jay and Henry for 75 or more installs. Never once had an issue with scheduling or quality of granite and install. If your looking for great service and prices call magic kitchen.
These guys do an amazing job, I was sent to them by a friend and am so glad I did.
Im a contractor for 16 years, these guys have put in 10-15 countertop for me, they do a great job! Don’t hesitate to use them!
Met with Magic Kitchen at their Schenectady site(the old Tool Shed) in May. Told them I want to order a countertop and am ready to go. April 6th they sent a man named Henry to grab measurements. He said they will order the slab and install would be 2-3 weeks. Now 2 weeks later MagicKitchen claims the slab hasnt been ordered and they require a 50% deposit to start the order. The house goes on the market next week. I have had $3,000 cash in pocket for weeks. Dont use this company.
The prices at Magic Kitchen are quite reasonable and the in-store assistance ranges from serviceable to utterly unacceptable depending on which staff member is available at the store. The countertop selection is limited, but that is to be expected and should not be viewed as a negative. Henry as well as the owner Jay are both responsive, at least until they receive payment. If you expect all sections of your new granite countertop to be installed at the same height and to be level, then I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. If you do choose Magic Kitchen as I did for one of my rental units, then do not be surprised when they fail rectify any installation issues, or to even have the decency to respond to follow up service requests.
