I bought a watch at this place and they wont return it. It was pre-owned they never told me about it. They also altered it and wont return it because theyre claiming its altered when they had to have the watch fit my wrist. I was well within my 30 days on the receipt. I feel like it was a fraud I had the wrong SKU number than the original watch.

I went to purchase an engagement ring back in February, Victoria Mello (Store Manager) and her staff were professional and helpful throughout the whole process. Victoria appears to enjoy her job and greets everyone with a smile and a handshake. The Staff explained the store policies such as ring return, ring cleaning, and ring inspections clearly and answered all my questions. Even though this was the first time I have done business with Victoria and her staff, it certainly wont be the last. I look forward to future business. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you!

This specific location is UNBELIEVABLE!! Not only did they help me find my dream wedding set they went above and beyond to make this future bride feel like a queen . They stuck with my budget didn’t pressure me into anything and I couldn’t be happier ! They even gifted me a service that was on their personal Kay card to knock money off my ring sizing. They are so incredibly sweet and kind . They work with you to make sure you are happy and you walk out of the store with what you want ! This is the only store I’m going to ! Thanks ladies !

This place is pretty good depending on who you get to help you out, went there recently and was helped out and left happy with my fiancés ring going out to get fixed, but last time before that they gave me a hard time trying to sell me about $100 plan to get the ring fixed and not telling me about the $35 charge.

The lady we met was rude,conceited, and snobby and didn’t help us at all despite looking to BUY an engagement ring. We walked out and tried the one in Colonie center and met someone equally aloof. I suggest zales we had the most wonderful luck with them.

STAY AWAY!!! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!! Absolutely the most disrespectful, judgemental staff my family has ever experienced. The manager Christine/Christie could be a big reason for this, if they follow her unprofessional example. My company has an account with Kays for years, but this crossgates staff, led by their manager Christine/Christie, has enlightened us that we will no longer do any business with Kays. Would give 0 stars if I could. I went in to have my ring inspected and the guy behind the counter gave me attitude because it had been almost a year since my last one. He made it a point to mention multiple times that I “need to be here every 6 months” if I want an inspection. Completely unprofessional attitude. I will be taking my “6 month” inspections elsewhere.

The worst customer service ever! I spoke with 3 separate people in the process of buying a ring and every single one of them was rude. The staff clearly is not trained in how to deal with customers and could also stand to work on their problem solving skills. Never shopping at kay again.

My husband purchased a special order necklace and had it shipped to the store for Christmas. I received the necklace on on Christmas, I put it on the next day and about a half hour into wearing it I noticed it was on my lap, I checked the clasp and realized it was broken, it would appear to close but slide right back open. My husband and I took it on Sunday December 30 to the Crossgates location to show them and see if the chain could be fixed or replaced since I had not even worn it one full day. The representative was rude and condescending, he hooked it in front of us and held it out in front of my face and said its hooked, it clicked for me so my husband took it and showed him how the clasp slides right open. He was obviously annoyed by us and checked the order in their system and said that because there was no warranty we would have to pay out of pocket for the chain repair. Now I wouldnt have minded that if I had had it for a couple of weeks and the issue happened, but being that it was obviously a damaged chain when my husband gave it to me I do not feel like the cost is our responsibility. I will never work with Kay Jewelers again.

The team at the Crossgates Mall Kays has been taking care of me for years now.What began as customizing my first wedding ring to my wife, has expanded to upgrading to a larger stone, tons of necklaces, bracelets and earrings.Trusting your jeweler is so important. It begins with the management team and with the amazing Linda and now the fabulous Vitoria leading the way as well as Mistique always listening to my needs, my experience is always VIP! Mistique helped make my latest upgrade and ensured a high quality diamond was picked out of the many choices I had to look through. I highly recommend seeing Vitoria, Mistique, Christine or Danae at the Crossgates Mall Kays.Everyone, for peace of mind, ALWAYS get the extended warranty with them. If something happens that a stone pops out, as long as you take it for regular inspections as they advise it is covered. Another benefit, I put my wedding band for instance through alot and they clean it as often as I visit, inspect for lose stones every 6 months, and if I want it shined up or recoated that is covered. I promise you, some cities shower water is harsh on jewelry, the warranty pays to protect the items you spend your hard earned money on.For fun, please visit their diamond events. You get to create your wedding ring and the process of watching the expert jeweler assemble it all is Awesome. They crew makes diamond shopping the special event it should be. It truly is an experience.I cant say enough great things about Kays, but in particular the Albany, NY crossgates mall team. Love the professionals there. Tell them Ralph Pillot III sent you!

Worst customer service ive ever seen in my entire life. Would give 0 stars if i could. Woman on the phone was rude as hell to my girlfriend when we asked when the ring will be ready to be picked up before we left for our vacation and we got an answer saying whenever its ready well tell you and it was ready after an hour ofc that was after we had left the state.

I bought a LeVian ring for this past Mothers Day. Brought it back in a few days later to have a new one made in a size they didnt stock. I was told it would be a few weeks.I called in June and they told me LeVian had sent the wrong ring and they would put a rush ticket on it. I was told mid July.Now today.... And it its a few days early, I called and I was just told that it wouldnt be ready until sometime in September.... (Thats with the rush.)This is by far the worst experience Ive had making a jewelry purchase.Go to Littmans or Northeastern or my current favorite Drew Sanders. But whatever you do, avoid Kays. Not worth the wait or the trouble if you need a size 4.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Kays. Unfortunately yeaterday I went to the location and crossgates mall with my 3 children, I walked In a little while after the store opened, there was 4 sales associates and 4 customers besides myself. As time passed more and more customers were walking in the store, one of the associates kept glancing at me so I know she saw me, but all associates kept going to others in the store. I was started to get frustrated with the wait and another guest finally said I think she was here before me. After discussing my dissatisfaction the lady who kept glancing at me came over and was extreamly rude and unprofessional, she said they only help customers who are nearest to the register. Seriously, you have people in your store and your not going to approach them because they are not standing near the register? I had my 3 children with me and wr were standing next to the case of the item we wanted to purchase. The manager was completly rude I honestly believe they looked at me like I wasnt going to buy anything, so the didnt approach me, they were only helping the men that walked into the store as me and another girl waited close to an hour before being helped! I purchased a watch for my husband for valentines day, after I asked her to take out a couple links I recieved even more attitude. She ran my cc before even askiNg if I wanted a warranty and threw my items in the bag as all the other associates were wrapping everyone elses gift. This is by far the worst run kay jewelers. I am honeatly considering canceling my kays card!

I went in to Kay Jewelers around 1 today (1/18/2016) to ask questions about a necklace my ex had purchased for me. One set of customers were browsing items on their own while a girl ( I believe a manager possibility felt it was more important to ring receipts into the register. I am not by any means prejudice but if corporate would like to know, or even cares she was a medium toned woman. Anyhow still ignoring the other customer she asked if she could help me. I told her I would like to know about the necklace... the metal and such. I was given a brief description told it had tarnished and basically left to walk away unhappy. She was busy still ringing receipts into the register and did not have time to really look at the necklace or bother with me. My fiancee has a account at Zales. I went to go meet him there unhappy about the way I was treated at Kay. Guess what my necklace was cleaned which is a open hearts (not a Zales brand) and I was treated like royality. Infact it took the woman a good 15 minutes at Zales to clean it up and get all the tarnish off. I am beyond pleased my fiancee chose Zales. Shame on you Kay Jewelers for allowing ppl to work there that made me as the cutomer feel like dirt!
