I called and made an appointed to sell my old 60s and 70s LP and 45s. The owner Jim was very professional and the process was quick ( I left the 4 boxes and he was done in less than two hours) and easy . They issued me a check and I was quit happy with the sum. I would suggest this company to anyone looking to sell or especial purchase vintage Vinyl.
Fantastic service, everything is extremely well-organized and prices are completely fair. Great place to find rarities.
Great place to find vintage music. Nice and helpful people running the place.
A cute little record store with a lot of stuff. Great energy from the staff:)
Will always be one of the best places in Albany. Clem is such an attentive manager.
Great selection and friendly staff.Good prices and good selection.
Awesome place staff is great and helpful
Really cool record shop for older or more obscure stuff
Great place for music, especially vinyl from the 70s. Staff is pretty knowledgeable too. Good prices on used CDs and vinyl. Selection of posters too. Small shop, a little hard to socially distance, but fun place to visit and shop.
Its great to see this record store in business. We dont live in the immediate area but coming here is always worth the trip. Great selection and very knowledgeable staff. Definitely coming back!!!
Surprising little hole in the wall music shop. Im not into vinyl anymore but they have a lot of it. The store space is deceptively big as it is deeper than it is wide. Lots of very reasonably priced cds and a fair amount of dvds. My only gripe is that the cds are not grouped by band, but rather just by letter of the alphabet. Ive found some gems here.
This place was just awsome. Found a lot of albums we were searching for.
Great staff and atmosphere! Love finding old classics and hidden gems here 😎
This is hands down the best recorded music shop in Upstate New York!!! They have been in business longer than i can remember and for good reason! Staff is super friendly and atmosphere is couch comfortable. Sometimes i just stop in to soak up the good vibes. Its a mustfor any music lover.
Tons of musicAll the sounds of the worldGreat set upVery helpful people
Such a great spot...could spend hours here.
Love the place been going there for years
My brother went and found their prices to be reasonable and pretty organized.
Good prices and you could browse for hours!
Love their store! Tuesdays half price!Great owners!
Absolute treat
Fantastic record shop for anyone whos interested in expanding a collection or getting into it! Ive been there quite a few times and manage to spend way more time than I intended sifting through the 3 stories worth of records and other dated media. Broad range of music options! Just know that typically the rarity will exist within any music above 1995,unfortunately. Would recommend to all of my audiophiles, hipsters, hippies, and music lovers like myself. Also, the pricing is nothing to run away from, and they do frequent buyers rewards which is a major plus.
Great record shop. Great prices!
Not the best selection and the young guys uo front were rude. But the older guy in the back at least tried to help
I stopped by there to sell my old records and cassettes. He purchased all l had, and gave me a reasonable price.
Everything here is semi easy to find but it is very pricey for CDs.
I was sorely disappointed in this establishment. I just moved to the city of Albany and its literally around the corner from my location. There were no Beatles albums, no Grateful Dead, which was my main reason for going there, and a very limited supply of bands like led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. If youre looking for countercultural music of the 1960s and 70s this is not the place to go. So disappointing because it has that old record shop feel. My advice is never shop anywhere that doesnt carry the Grateful Dead.
The absolute best music shop in Albany. I’m in the area once a year and have found items there every year that I’ve been unable to find in many stores in the northeast. It’s a bit of a hunt to find things but worth the time and the effort.
Decent jazz selection, good prices, and better organized than many. It did take me a while to figure out that vocal jazz was mixed in with more generic vocals on a different level than instrumental (just labeled jazz, thus the confusion).
Fantastic little gem of a vinyl store in Albany! HUGE selection of ALL types of music. The $3 bargain albums offered a choice selection of 60s artists that you cant go wrong with! After spending 2+ hours in the store, I found a unique variety of 60s and 70s vinyl, along with some 80s music Really good pricing and very helpful owner. This store is a must visit when in the area, as I travel to NY on a weekly basis I can tell you for certain that I will be back!UPDATE: I visited the store again while in Albany on 10/11/17 and once again had a great experience! Not to mention a 30-50% off sale was going on at the time! Found AWESOME vinyl! This store is a MUST visit!
Great location and huge variety of merchandise. Excellent service and friendly staff.
Love this place. I always find treasures. The location is a little sketchy, but I can usually snag parking in front. Friendly staff. Wish they were open later, as sometimes its hard to make it before 7 when Im traveling from an hour away. But its always worth the trip.
I love this place! You have the chance to meet new people and share your love for music. I occasionally come here afterschool to check their $1 vinyl collection.
Its fun digging through the records and cds. Never know what you will find.
Very cool music shop in Pine Hills. Great selection of records and the workers listen to cool punk music. I go here to buy tapes because I only have a tape deck in my car and they usually have a fairly decent selection, if not exhaustive. They also have a good amount of CDs.
Great to find CDs still. Nice selection for rock and jazz. Big selection of classical apparently. Good prices too. Highly recommended.
Unusual picks, and a great place to start your long absent music library.
The Tuesday sale is amazing. Its great to find such a well organized store. The staff at Last Vestige evaluates each album they take in to ensure they are stocked with quality products.
Great selection of vinyl across all music genres ranging in price. Definitely going back!
Good selection, a little pricey. Still, never bought vinyl here that hasnt played all the way through without skips or loud pops. Its worth paying more. The employees can sometimes get wrapped up in conversations and end up seeming inattentive, but really theyre just super into music.
Decent selection, especially for common 70s and 80s stuff. Great CD deals. Nice, friendly staff
Been coming here for years. Its exactly what you want from a record store when it comes to environment. Awesome employees, great atmosphere and too much product for the space. If you are looking for new music, the selection isnt too great in that sense (although, I have purchased brand new records here that had been released quite recently) so dont come looking. But, if youre looking for gems, gold, rubies, original pressings and anything not being released within the last 10/15 years, then youve hit the jackpot. Thats why I love this place. Just when you think you have every record released by Otis Redding, you find something you didnt have at Last Vestige. Look for the slime green building.
This is an authentic record shop. Great record selection at modest prices. The look, feel, and of course sound of a true old-school record store.
Huge Frank Zappa fan and they had a really rare bootleg that is very hard to find for a decent price! Also found three Gabriel era Genesis records I was looking for and this all in 1st visit. Drove an hour one way and this shop did not disappoint; highly recommend a trip to check it out!
Great selection, although dont expect to find to much after the 80ties in their vinyl section. Nicely laid out and staff are really friendly.
Was just there looking for 80s vinyl, and was not disappointed. The master list on their website isnt updated as often as it should be, but the gentlemen in the store are very helpful when you are looking for specific items. Great prices, will definitely make the hour long trip again to visit the store in the future.
Nice and pleasant
I need to return soon, but seems great so far. Cool and well-stocked
They have a good selection at all price ranges.
Great place to look if you collect vinyl. All genres of music available. Fairly priced.
Lots of vintage LPs and a large selection of used CDs to peruse thru
A Classic place that has earned Its place in Albany HistoryKAISER LEXIE AND RNAMASTE
Best place to find vinyl. Steady stream of new stock will keep you coming back.
This is an Albany institution. Vinyl, CDs, cassettes, organized by genre. Hours of nostalgia and curiosity and you WILL find something you want given time to find it.
Great place, but could do with a bit more organization. Im not saying it is possible without a lot of work, but, wouldnt it pay off if I could find things alphabetically or something?
Best place if you want anything in vinyl and staff is super knowledgeable
Knowledgeable staff, great collection of albums and music. Worth the trip
This spot has some hidden gems. The cateloge was a brease to navigate.
Awesome shop. People are nice. I like it.
Im a big musical theater and film soundtrack listener. Great finds for old school originals and classics.
First time visiting; good selection of new and used vinyl, including many that were on sale.
Great place to find some vinyl. Quite possibly one of the last places with great music.
ALWAYS find music I love usually while finding a good laugh too and a parade of humanity along the way.
One of the last places you can buy and sell great vinyl music.
Great place to buy Vintage vinyl..
Great store! I enjoy digging thru the CDs and records to find and a gem.
A whole lot of records with good variety.
Good selection of records
Great LPs and CDs in stock - all genres, going back to at least the 50s. Im 63 and needed to downsize and took a small box of LPs in, many of which I bought in the 1960s and 1970s. The thirty-something clerk was very knowledgeable about what I was bringing him and although they didnt take everything, I received $32 in store credit -- which I promptly spent on CDs of my favorite artists, old and new and some LPs that have never been made into CDs. Dont plan on running in and out - youre gonna want to browse!
Always fun heading into this shop and flipping through the records and CDs!
Always a good experience here.Friendly staff,great prices,good section.
Great place if youre looking for records!
