Prices arent exactly cheap, especially since half of what you buy is close to expiration or past. Dairy fridge needs to be cooler as well, half the time the milk feels like its barely even cool. But they do have the best meat department in town unless you go to Conger Meats. They are apparently shutting down around March from what Ive heard here.

The product in the freezer section usually has frost bite... And their prices are out of control... I feel they are taking advantage of the elder that can not make it any where else...

This place is particularly well suited for patrons that dont align with Walmarts philosophy, for whatever reason. They dont have the greatest selection or the lowest prices, but they are a part of the local community. I am happy to support them.

This was my first and last visit. New to the area, I was looking for an alternative to Hy-Vee and a neighbor recommended Marketplace for meats. I wanted hamburger meat—all the packages had expiration dates of the next day. They had premium cheeses that were old. The produce section was a complete mess: unripe bananas, overripe tomatoes, mushy cucumbers. And the deli ... no rotisserie chicken or fried chicken left by 5:30 pm because they quit making it earlier in the day... which makes no sense for people who want a fast dinner. I was already there so I shopped, but I ended up buying only about 20% of my list and taking twice as long because I had to check the expiration dates on everything. The only redeeming quality of the visit was the bakery, which had fresh items at reasonable prices.

I live close by and will only stop if I need one or two items... I dont like going here, everytime I go I need to check every single date on any products, since Ive been burned before. Lots of food/products are out of date- I always find at least one thing. Also, Customer Service needs works- no one is ever friendly. I do not recommend this place.

We got caught in a snowstorm, found this place to be able to use the restroom and buy some sandwich food and snacks before heading out in this too! There process were high, even for sales, the reason for only 4 stars. The people working there were all friendly and nice!

I love Marketplace. It is much closer than the other grocery stores and provides as good if not significantly better service. Prices are good.

What happened to the bakery they use to be the best in town? Still awesome meat counter and the cashiers are nonjudgmental very comfortable environment due to the employees.

Kind and helpful employees, a little bit on the high price side especially for the generic brands. But all in all its a nice convenient store, just the right size, and easy in and out because of the nice cashiers, we really enjoy Cindy and go thru her line whenever shes working, she always has a smile and a warm welcome and come on back ☺

Great,fresh meat.They have good deals in both the fresh meats and the meat counter. Awesome bakery too. I recommend their rolls.

Used to go for the good meats and some laughs with Jerry but lately it seems I come in interrupting the loud and sometimes inappropriate conversations of the workers usually. Ive started to drive the extra distance to Hyvee as of late. The meat might not be as good but at least the service is timely and I dont have to listen to drawn out political conversations. Unprofessional.

A Hidden jewel.This store really is.I dont understand how town folk here are shopping at high end stores,like Walmart, and Hy-Vee. the marketplace has great deals on food,better then Walmart and Hy-Vee put together.And I know that people will love the Deals they get with the butcher on meats.and even more so their Bakery.(wonderful ).People should really give it a try ? They wont be disappointed.

Prices are a bit high but the bakery is amazing! Nice place for a quick breakfast and cup of coffee.

I GO here to get most of my medications. At Curts Pharmacy, they are awesome and always try to make sure I get everything I need.

Was just at Marketplace was going to order breakfast, the girl working in the kitchen saw us, ignored us, went about her business while we stood at the counter waiting to order. We left and talked to the gentleman at the meat dept. Came back saw a older gentleman get served, stood at the counter, she looked at us again and again ignored us. After 2 minutes of waiting we left.
