A great place to try out guns before you purchase one. I greatly valued being able to shoot 5 different guns for 1 rental fee. They do not have all types of ammo but they appeared to have plenty for their rentals. Call first to make sure lanes are available before you go. Between a club and private lessons it can get tight. They didnt have many guns to buy at all. The staff were alright, some were nicer than others. They offer various membership levels. They offer training courses for concealed carry, Glock mechanics, womens only classes, kids classes and several others. It was a good experience overall and I look forward to going again.
Absolutely amazing place. The staff were very nice to us. 10/10 best range Ive ever been to.
Great service number one spot for cerakote josh not only has the best lead time in alb his work is great I would Suggest anyone looking for gunsmith work or refinishing this is your place
The customer service was great as well as the range times which was during the evening for us.
Ive purchased thousands of dollars here. Last week got an adapter for a bipod, the adapter snapped during install. Brought in for an exchange after calling and verifying with a phone call. Drove 1+ hr from Santa fe only to be told, we dont except exchanges for damaged items. They are a dishonest, shady business. Do your self a favor and go elsewhere. Ill never give them another dime.
I don’t normally write reviews but felt that it was such a positive experience that I should. I went in the other day to make a purchase and often in gun stores I’ve been ignored, made feel like I should know everything about guns and just over all uncomfortable that was not the experience I had here. They went above and beyond to help me and spent time with me and never rushed me. I can’t begin to express what a entirely positive experience it was and how it really impacted me. When branching out into something new it really makes the world of a difference to have had such a positive experience. Everyone was just so friendly, helpful, and welcoming not only just the staff but other patrons as well. Thank you!
The staff was great- and I was surprised that their prices were fairly low. I got a red dot sight, some magazines and ammo cheaper than I could shopping online-which almost never happens these days. Their 10% military discount was a bonus. I did not use the indoor range so I can’t comment on that experience.
This place is awesome! As a first-timer, I can’t compare, but my friend & I loved the experience and appreciated the staff. They were encouraging, personable, patient, and knowledgeable from over the phone to the range! Definitely won’t be my last time going
Only came in to buy ammunition but the staff was professional and knowledgeable.
Tried to get a basic handgun rental and use of a range. The afternoon clerk [3/24/2021] was unhelpful, and told me they werent doing any rentals, without explaining why, told me the other Calibers across town was not either, and turned me away. Just to be sure, I proceeded to the Coors location instead, and they were able to get me in immediately, even providing me with a discount for my military service. Why did the Clerk at this location lie?
You have no customer serviceAnd they refused to help me out
Rude customer service, if you dont like your job quit!
Olivia W. Just wanted to take the time to say thanks for letting me drive for 26 minutes, keeping your food warm and fresh to get screwed out of a tip. I made enough money on that drive to get enough gas to get back home. Hope you treat customers better then your delivery people...
Attended some training recently. Ive had great experiences with all the training Ive attended, and enjoy the indoor range. I do recommend good hearing protection on the range. Due to its construction any large caliber pistols, or use of rifles, on the range will produce louder volumes than an outdoor range.
Robin was an excellent instructor. I went into class with absolutely no experience holding or firing a firearm. She kept the class down to earth and hands on, was an excellent communicator, and made the class a lot of fun. I also felt bad because I was late to class and had to reschedule but she was very professional and helpful despite my mistake. The training exceeded my expectations.
Very hard to shop at calibers, due to the fact that the staff follow you so close. I believe they racial profile. I left this behavior in south Dakota years ago. Shop at right to bear arm in Albuquerque. Better service and prices.
Clerk was a twerp, the obese Hispanic guy. Pricey. Avoid. Dont provide them your email else theyll inconsiderately send junk mail which of course nobody ever wants to receive..
Had wonderful instruction in operation and accuracy of my firearm
Great experience!!My girlfriend took a class with Robbin and was excellent. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and truly caring .Happy happy happy
The staff are great and I recommend this place so much
Have a blast here every time I shoot. The employees are really nice and knowledgeable. They have many lanes and I will keep coming back because I enjoy getting to shoot in an indoor range with easy replaceable targets. I do recommend if you go on a slow day to be a space apart from the next shooter because their casings will be flying in your face when you shoot even with the separator in between. Other than that great range.
Friendly and professional staff. Really good experience, and would definitely go back again. Was hesitant given my experience at the Coors location (the staff was rude and dismissive) but this place is great. Overpriced gun selection, and ammo. But that’s no big deal since I buy ammo and guns from my local gun shop at a fraction of the price. Great place!
Mike H was amazingly helpful. I am a beginner shooter and Mike took time to explain various models and went over a few tips and tricks. He also checked in on my friend and I a few times during our time at the range. Thanks Mike
For the love of god do not rent anything from this place. Their rentals are the dirtiest things imaginable, and when there is a malfunction, they just place it back in the display cabinet without doing anything when its obviously not working due to poor maintenance. Some of the highest quality firearms no longer even chamber rounds or go back into battery because they are so caked full of carbon. Staff is extremely lazy and dismissive and puts all the workload on the newer/younger employees while taking their sales because they cant get out from behind the rental desk. Save yourself the time and stress and shop elsewhere.
Terrible service! I ordered a firearm over a month ago and was told it would be here in a week. After calling twice a week for a MONTH, where no one would look up my order, I finally got someone to look it up and was told it was not available. Unacceptable. So I asked for a refund. I was told it would be back in my account in a 2-4 business days. 4 business days later and no refund. I called today and was told the order hasnt been cancelled yet but would be today. No apology, no attempt at recovering my business. I wont spend another dime here.
Expensive. Poor customer service. Find somewhere else to shoot....
Rude counter help. Manager was helpful in resolving the incident. I don’t know the gentlemen’s name but he was confrontational from the get go. He even lied about foul language to his manager by me but no foul language was ever used. I was also told by management this was not an isolated incident. I’m on the fence about ever returning and have been going to calibers since the original location by Paseo.
Been a member for range benefits for a while. Mediocre experience. Despite signs saying that members get priority over non-members when busy, this is not the case and I have had to put my name down on waiting lists and wait 40mins along with non-members. I can deal with that as it isnt common, but is still misleading marketing.Writing poor review because I purchased a firearm for the first time from these guys after receiving some gift cards (I normally order firearms from several other online vendors). The past 9 days have been nothing but misleading emails and lies, and my latest update is that my firearm still isnt anywhere near arrival. I received no updates for days after placing my order and having my card charged. I finally got a response four days later that orders were taking a while to process, my firearm still hadnt been shipped, and that someone would contact me the next day to update me and discuss the order. No one did. That was on Thursday. I waited until Sunday before reaching out again, at which time I was told that the firearm had finally been shipped and that it only takes two days once shipped. Yesterday (Tuesday) I asked for tracking info so I could see where the firearm was and better plan ahead for picking up the firearm when it arrives as I am very far away. Instead of giving me tracking info, I received a message from someone else that said that the firearm was slated to arrive on Friday. This did not jive at all with what I had been told on Sunday and leads me to believe I was being lied to about when the order shipped out. I again asked for tracking information but am now being ghosted.I have purchased lots of guns and all of them have been bought from online vendors. Never have I have I been ghosted or given the run-around like these guys at Calibers, and it is disrespectful to treat a customer this way when they are simply trying to get information regarding something they ordered. First impressions make lasting impressions, and I will not be ordering any firearms in the future from them.
These guys are always friendly and professional, great facilities. The classes Ive taken there were well done, good pricing and great place for some range time! Well done!!
Cutler, busy Saturday: A tad pricey, but newer, well run range. Staff attentive, competent, and safety aware. Observed a staff member patiently introduce a 5 person newbe group/family to firearms and safety. Friend I was with rented a handgun (you have to buy their ammo), then received full credit when he purchased it. Sales staff very knowledgeable, not pushy.
These guys are all great and it doesnt matter if you are the most seasoned professional or too inexperienced to even be a novice with firearms-they are equally helpful and friendly to everyone. Ive been there alone, with friends, with my kids and always the facility is clean, safe, well-managed with adequate staff, ample safety equipment & solid protocols to ensure everyone there is able to accomplish their goals in a safe environment.
Steep prices on basically all the products in the store. Firearms included. Unless you have the membership discount. Staff is decent 90% of the time. I like the freedom allowed in the range compared to the city range. However some people take this a bit far and the staff never steps in to reign them in.
I had the gunsmith put new sights that came two days ago which I never done handgun sight replacement before. After the installment of the expensive sights that I bought with my hard earned money this is the result Im getting. The base plate of the rear sight is scratched and you can see the dents in it also. I feel like 12 or 5 pound hammer was taken to it with a punch to install the sights.
I have absolutely ZERO experience with firearms and self-defense training. But after a frightening experience while hiking in a remote location, encountering an individual who presented a threat to me, I knew one thing: I do not want to be unprepared should a similar situation present itself in the future.I went to Calibers today not sure what to expect, and not sure what I needed to protect and defend myself in the future. Not sure whether owning and training with a gun was the right solution for me. After talking to Jordan, who was extremely attentive and helpful, I scheduled a one-hour, one-on-one training session with Daniel on the spot. And couldnt have asked for a more knowledgeable instructor or more informative session. Incredibly helpful in raising my level of mental awareness, and realizing how much more there is to learn in terms of self-defense training. Prior to simply purchasing a gun and assuming I am somehow safer or better prepared to defend myself, with no training whatsoever.I will definitely be scheduling additional classes with Calibers, prior to considering whether to purchase a firearm for personal protection or not. And I feel very positive about the prospect of training with such a knowledgeable, helpful staff of people. And making the right decisions, well-informed and properly trained, about my own self-defense and protection in the future. Whether that includes a firearm or not. Thanks, Jordan and Daniel! Really appreciate your feedback and expertise. I would highly recommend you guys to anyone just considering their own safety and self-defense training, to lay down that mental foundation and preparedness before anything else.
I have always had a great experience here! They are friendly and knowledgeable.Thank You
No regards for public safety. They also dont even know how the 2nd amendment works. I wouldnt trust someone who cant even understand that the right to own a gun does not equate to shooting ranges must be allowed to operate as essential, to teach me gun safety or proper technique. They think their business and profits supercede public safety and think they are more important than many, many other businesses who are also having to close their doors and they are not. Heres hoping they go out of business. What despicable ethics and morality.
Ive read the negative reviews; WOW!! Ive never had anything but a great experience at Calibers. Ive been shooting there for over a year and purchased two pistols. Their gunsmith went out of his way to help me get an issue resolved with my S&W 1911 PC, which now is the best shooting .45 ACP Ive ever owned. My wife appreciates that she is treated with respect and absolutely no condescension. The sales team seems to be very female-friendly.. The folks there are always very helpful and willing to answer any question they can, and will tell you when they dont know the answer. I have, however, witnessed a few customers who come in with an I already know everything about guns and am smarter and better than you and everybody else in here attitude. Usually, the dont buy anything or even shoot. They just swagger around trying to impress themselves. As a range member, I really do hope those folks have a NEGATIVE experience so the rest of us who are interested in learning and improving our shooting skills dont get exposed to their gun macho attitude. We do appreciate the friendly atmosphere and helpful service we always receive at Calibers. Keep up the good work!
The service is great! Every time Ive gone I have been helped quickly and gotten in a lane fast. The lanes are nice and vemtilated. The range ammo is expensive so make sure you bring plenty.
In order to use the range you now have to provide them with enough personal information to obtain a passport! If the invasion of privacy wasnt bad enough, the sales area is staffed by a bunch of kids. Calibers has sold me on using Mags in Moriarty. Its farther to drive but worth not being waited on by children or having my privacy infringed upon.
Ordered in my item and delivered it to me quickly and professionally. Nice sized store and knowledgeable employees.
I stopped by the Cutler location this past week. Right when I walked in I was greated by the staff. I was in the market for a new Rifle. After browsing the rifles for a few minutes they had a 2 separate employees came up to me and asked if I wanted to hold a rifle or any questions in general. They were very helpful with helping me make a decision on purchasing an AR-15. I ended up leaving the store with a membership from a young lady that was very helpful and informative. Overall I felt very welcome and had a great experience here. Awesome customer experience.
I only visit the range a few time a year but all the employees are very helpful and courteous. Last year I was thinking of purchasing a compact 45acp but never shot one so I went to the Cutler range and rented one to try one and loved it... they also have a wide range of different guns to rent so you can try before you buy! Thanks guys!
Best Instructors in the business!!
Came too check out some guns to buy and maybe shoot. The manager is a joke totally unwilling to help any customers and just stood around talking to the busy employees about nothing... Awhile the line is becoming longer and longer. The people that regularly frequent this place walk right past the line and get service... Ok you lost my business and I will make sure to spread the word. Bye ✌️
Primarily use the Coors location, and have always had a great and welcoming experience. The new bi-monthly fun shoots are amazing for doing something other than shooting down a straight line, and the staff couldnt be any better at coming up with creative shooting scenarios to test your shooting skills, while maintaining safety to all shooters as a priority. My gun went down during an event, and staff members got me up and running again in a matter of minutes, so that I could enjoy the rest of the event. This place is great!
The staff is very friendly and informative, great manager and a wide selection of firearms and accessories. The range is clean, well ventilated and Ive already met great people at this location.I cant speak for the Coors location, but the Calibers on Cutler is definitely deserving of 5 stars!
We have enjoyed Calibers for more that a year. We use it as kind of a date night (after 37 years of marriage its a date!). Friendly, knowledgeable staff; clean, welcoming facility. Comfortable, safe environment.
Excellent customer service and dedicated staff! The manager, Robert and Vincent were especially helpful and went out of their way to explain all the rifle models we were interested in. The range was clean and the store was clean. We will definitely bring our business back!
Dont ever rent here. For three people to rent one lane and two boxes of the cheapest 9mm it costs over $100 in total. This is just too much, Ive been going here for a long time, and recently I took a couple of my friends who are new shooters to rent a lane and a rental 9mm handgun + ammo. For all of us, plus the lane, the rental, and the ammunition, it was well over $100. It shouldnt cost that much to go shoot some 9mm rental at an indoor range. On top of this they charge you extra fees for swapping calibers and guns, this just adds to the total price, even splitting this price between three people it was still totally unreasonable. Also, the optic on their rental MPX wasnt charged and couldnt turn on/wouldnt work, making the $20 fee just to rent the thing on top of everything else totally unreasonable if the red dot isnt even functional. The staff here is also very unfriendly and unprofessional, Ive worked many retail/customer service jobs and these guys are really unfriendly. Theres a few nice guys who work here but the majority of the staff is inhospitable and rude, they also treat everyone who walks in like a potential threat, it doesnt make for a good environment. I wont return here again, the unreasonably high prices paired with the unfriendliness of the staff has turned me off this place for good.
Friendly staff, above average selection, and very nice indoor range. I plan on visiting again.Update June 2016: I visited a couple more times and this is my all time favorite indoor shooting range. The range itself is high quality and offers 30yds (most go to 25). The shooting lanes are wider than Ive seen at other indoor ranges. The staff are friendly and helpful, not always something you see at indoor ranges. Their firearms selection is impressive and prices are reasonable.I stick to the 5 stars. Good work!
Very friendly and helpful staff. I also took a few lessons with Tony and he was a good teacher.
My son and I went to Calibers on Monday Aug.14. except the first clerk all other staff were not helpful, friendly,or knowledgeable .This was our first time at calibers and firing a hand gun.One of the staff members could not even unload the hand gun at the firing range. We do not give Calibers a high rating for anything.Respectfully Martin H Quintana.
Shoot there fairly often now. Folks are nice and have good information. Josh (gunsmith) has done several jobs for me now... He does really good work!
Awesome customer service! And great deals on everything! All of the employees are very well versed on every topic and weapon related questions. As well as advice! Great atmosphere and lots of choices when it comes to rentals
Could explain summer versus winter hours.... on door which has 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on one door and. 10::00 am to 8:00pm on the other door, I’m out side waiting it’s 9:30 am Should be open according to google!!! I hear firing inside, must be employee practicing!!! I guess..... 🤬😡.... so what is the deal here !!!! Open or not ?????????????????????????
Stopped here for my first time on Friday, 5/22/15. Everyone working there was great. All were informative and helpful. A relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Even helped me with some equipment that Id brought in that I was unfamiliar with.
Great range with professional, friendly, helpful staff. We always bring in our in town and out of town friends that have never fired a firearm. The ear to ear grin after the first shot is universal. Calibers is a great place to introduce someone that might be neutral or even anti- gun to shooting. The staff is always very patient and helpful with the inexperienced shooters I bring in and makes it a positive and safe experience. Lastly, it a very nice facility which makes the experience even more perfect.
My wife and I purchased a hand gun and were very impressed with the staffs knowledge and and helpful suggestions. All our friends will now know how we were treated. The prices were a bit lower than others stores we contacted. Love this place!
Second time at this establishment and would not recommend. Besides the prices being a bit high, all the employees are extremely rude! I would recommend finding a different place. Gave us a few lanes to shoot in and one of the employees said we were not allowed to switch lanes. As we all were trying to practice, one employee would be leaning over our shoulder and judging and threatening to kick all of us out( we are not trained and came to practice, but it was hard to do so ) if you liked being bossed around its a good place for you.
I recently went for the 3rd time and enjoyed it very much. I took their handguns A-Z class and learned a lot! The staff is very helpful and kind. Everything from the indoor range to the firearm retail part of the store is nice. Anyone wanting to have a nice, safe and enjoyable place to shoot this is the place for them. For now on this is the place I will be going to when I want to enjoy a day of shooting. I cant wait to return the Calibers!!!
Pricey but range is indoor & air-conditioned; new facility. Good selection of irons. Knowledgeable staff.
I came in about a week ago to get some ammo and a quote on a gun and it was average. Reason I rate it 5 is because customer service seemed to be on point with my personal experience and bounced around the entire store delightfully with no snarky looks or comments shot my way. I proceeded to check out the gun display and spoke to a gentleman whos name slips my mind but had nice small talk going about his and mines preferences and so forth. I proceeded to head back out but not before I picked up the ammo I had previously bought and was helped out without a problem and on my way I went. Im sure Ill be back for a handgun there for they had a variety of them there !!!:)
Barely Adequate I guess.Every guy there has a condescending price tag fetish, and an apparent need to compensate for something. They are literally most of what gives a bad name to enthusiastic shooters in the world. The range itself is adequate, but compared to the pricing on other indoor ranges here, there is little choice. The benches should be a felony, and the dividers are way too shallow, its at least a dozen times in an hour session casings fly in from the adjacent slots. Blow-back from even small arms is felt constantly. Half of the range is constantly closed, even if no classes are going on. So when there is a line, youre just going to wait. Anything young, and dressed like a street walker is going to go ahead of members and long time patrons though. The short bearded guy is just an idiot, but the larger tattooed guy, and the old man are helpful and polite even if they dislike you or your gear. However, short bearded dude, makes this entire place feel like a Montana Citizens Militia annual picnic. Hes unfortunately always here. Unpleasant to the point that me and my friend are already seeking to spend more at their competitors to use equally as marginal facilities to not look at him.I mean, thats only ten customers, and ongoing negative references to the business reputation, but hey, some of us only spend $800 on a weapon and not $1400. How dare we!Unlike the other staff, he wont hesitate to give out bad information assuming youre an amateur, despite you having not asked for said advice. The other staff, except old guy and tatted up big dude, seem to TOLERATE the people who make their jobs a reality. As for feeling like you business is wanted or welcome, well, thats apparently too tall an order for minidong brigade.Seriously, we already go the public range, and hour away on weekend to not go here. When we all find one closer, no more money from us.A note to the owner, you are responding to negative reviews in writing, and yet nothing has changed. From one businessman to another, you need to decide if a couple of staff is worth the reputation of your business. When I write this rudely, and promise a net negative word of mouth, it means Ive experienced consistent issues, not isolated events.
I enjoyed it alot more that the city range. I felt safe and since its been years between my last day at a range I felt comfortable without being shunned or treated disrespectful like I did at the city range. City range were a bit of a boys club in which strangers or outsiders did not feel welcomed except by the office help. At Calibers you pay more but it was worth it because of the better atmosphere. At Calibers the range officers checked up but werent condescending or snobby . You follow the rules and they let you enjoy the experience. At City range I felt like a prisoner in which the guards treated you like criminals before being convicted . Rude, condescending, and like I said before if you were not a buddy of theirs then you didnt matter to them.
Helpful staff and the gunsmith does great work.
Good place to shoot though a little expensive. The biggest problem is management. There is a manager, I believe Brian is his name? I could be wrong. He has an air of arrogance and makes it almost not worth being there. You can tell that the other employees feel uncomfortable around him as their attitude totally changes when he comes near. He talks down to employees in front of customers (very unprofessional and awkward to witness) as well as seemingly tries to steal their sales. I don’t know if they work commission but even if they don’t that’s not Cool. Other than him staff is awesome but if you don’t want to deal with a hostile feeling workplace go to the Coors location.
This place is great to take your firearms take down the range. From pistol to the shotguns and high-powered rifle you get to sight in all your sights. Lots of ammo available and firearms to purchase and great selections.
Ive been to calibers a few times over the past few months and wanted to give a shoutout to a great store with great staff. The staff have been knowledgeable and super customer friendly. Great store, recommend it to anyone looking for a local gun shop
These people are true patriots any firearm needs you have go see them they will treat you right
Great service! Very friendly and helpful staff as well! All in all I would recommend this location to anyone looking to visit.
My wife and I took a private instruction class from Jimmy, a dedicated multifaceted instructor. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and explained everything in a way that it all made sense. I look forward to receiving more instruction from this wealth of information in the future.
I purchased a handgun at Calibers online website. It took a week for Calibers to get the gun from their warehouse. When I went into the store to pickup the gun. I filled out the back ground check, and the guy at the counter told me there was a Hold on the sale pending the back ground check by the FBI and it could take up to 7 days for me to pickup the handgun. It is a 100 mile round trip for me to go to the Calibers store in AlbuquerqueSo I ask them to just please refund the price I paid. They seemed to refund my money back into my back account. However, 2 days later the money has not been refunded and I have to call 8 or 9 times to get somebody to ask the phone.POOR CUSTOMER SERVICEI dont have the gun......and......I dont have my refund. If you are thinking of buying from Calibers..........BEWARE
I relocated to Albuquerque about a year ago, purchased sights for a firearm. I ended up not needing them so I attempted to return them without the receip the packaging remains untouched Most places would give you in store credit. The store staff were very rude, and unprofessional.I did go back to shoot twice since then. Yes, the range area is very clean. As for the staff again rude and only interested if you are purchasing a firearm. I’ve chosen to purchase, and shoot elsewhere that my business is appreciated.
Great place replaced my trigger and mechanics in under an hour. 45.00.Its a good and safe environment to learn how to shoot however their rules are extremely strict and I do understand the fact that a lot of people that go shooting there are not experienced Shooters at all and those safety rules have to be put in place for certain reasons however they have too much of a stipulation specially if your law enforcement you should be able to do things that other people cant other than that its not too bad of a place it is a little bit expensive but it beats going all the way out to the West Side depending on where you live I wish that their lifetime membership was a little bit cheaper cuz I would definitely buy it if it was about $400 cheaper but until they have a deal or a discount I wont purchase it I would recommend it to go here for certain people its a good place to learn
Place is expensive, and the staff dont make me free like theyre real shooters. They make me feel like they are just there to sell me something thats over priced. The rules are over redundant and if you like to collect your own brass to reload rounds good luck, because they wont let you. But theyll collect it later and turn around and sell it overpriced to you.Dont come here if your looking to have a good time youll just waste A LOT! Of money.
Just to comment on the fact that 37 customers had a very poor opinion of this business & its employees. Many of the positive reviews were years old, with some 5-6 years old. Management needs to take steps to improve interaction of the employees with customers, unless the business is making such huge profits it can afford to antagonize and lose 1/3 of its potential customer base. The only other possible scenario is that Calibers may be a front for BATFE & as such are more concerned with the agencys mission than in good customer relations, :o)
The staff at cutler was amazingly helpful at helping figure out what handgun I was looking to purchase. I range was very clean and very nice. Overall I had a very good experience there. The store was not what I was expecting. I am used to dingy small hole in the wall gun shops and Calibers was very bright and nice.
Im a member and like the range. Compared to the west side I might spend more yearly but I dont have to wait to retrieve my targets and can go in as often as I want. I can shoot a box of 50 and be out within the half hour much happier than out at the west side. Nice shop and atmosphere, decent prices usually, especially with a members discount, and awesome rental m4 and ak.
Youre better off shooting at the range by double eagle airport. My dad and I only went to cailbers because the other one is closed today but we end up leaving because we are barely acknowledged by anyone and were waiting 20 minutes we did save $40 too because they charge $20 a person. Youre asked rudely to put your holstered gun away, what a joke. Save money and go to the shooting range by double eagle its only $6 a person.
I really like the selection of weapons. Thats all there is to like really, prices are high, staff treats you like garbage. You could probably get treated better showing up at a Bugatti dealer in a civic.
Great staff, usually a bit busy that can make slow service but overall great indoor range. Guns are reasonably priced, not discount big box store priced. Ammo same thing. Support local small business that are attempting to make a profit to keep the lights on and people employed. Want to shoot in a clean, modern indoor facility? Great place right here. No open fire arms allowed, in gun cases only. Better posted singage might help the complainers found here.
Awesome experience!
Went in to shoot some handgun with my granddaughter the man in the next cubicle was shooting high powered rifles just annoying to have that so close to me while trying to work with my granddaughter. I know I’m spoiled by having our handgun range and rifle range separate. Can’t say I’d ever go back. I did not enjoy it much
Went to show my wife her first handgund experience, the staff was awesome and eager to teach her. Awesome store, good prices and good fun! 100% Recommended
Very helpful and professional. My first time in the midtown shop and was impressed. They helped me with every request I had.
Two stars because there customer service was good before, but DO NOT forget your ID when leaving the store. I was visiting out of state and went shooting with my father in law. They forgot to hand us back both of our ID’s and I’m from Florida. Realized it was missing after I left the state, called back to see if my father in law could pick it up and was told no. When my father in law went to get his license he knew my situation and they gave him my ID anyway after they told me they wouldn’t. And a replacement was already purchased. Time and effort wasted and won’t be back.
My experience was very poor at Calibers. The first employee to help me out was helpful and actually knew her stuff but the second guy who tried to help me was completely rude. I dont know if he was having a bad day but nevertheless he was super snarky and sarcastic. My guest and I were about to spend almost $100 to try out ONE of their assault riffles (very pricey) because it was his birthday I may add and we had to walk out because of this employees behavior. Previous experiences have ended this way and I have giving up trying to go to Calibers. So, if you want to pay an arm and a leg to shoot one weapon while having some sarcastic jerk belittle you then enjoy your time at Calibers.
Over all I have been pleased with both locations. Some of the employees are better then others. I purchased a firearm that was $100.00 less then one competitor and around $30.00 less then another. The shooting range is great. I do hate that the computer system does not keep your information saved I have had to fill it out several times. But from what I can tell they are pretty well stocked and competitive priced. Always subject to change good or bad.
Where do I begin... I walk into the lobby of this gun range and was immediately told to remove my pistol from my holster. I was quite shocked. Of course i made it a point to look for signs posted about holstered firearms. There were none. Might I add that there are tons of assault rifles hanging on the wall and one guy behind the counter was carrying a pistol on his hip. There was a customer carrying one too. I was rudely asked if I was law enforcement. I replied no. Funny part is that there was a police officer standing right there! He didnt bat an eye. Moving on.Then I stand there for literally 20 minutes with an empty holster, looking like an idiot, waiting to pay my range fee. FINALLY got that done. Walk into the range and you couldnt even see the floor from all the casings! Anyone with half a brain knows that is a hazard. Good thing I had my boots with half inch tread. I live in Texas and came here for the holidays. I did thorough research on gun laws in New Mexico. New Mexico is a gun friendly state. Nowhere near how strict Texas is. But these guys and their shop are anti 2A. I couldnt believe how they played favorites. I DO NOT recommend this place. Unless you like being stripped of your firearm and 2A rights.
It was the most awful experience I have ever had. We were discriminated against and pretty much thrown out because of what we were wearing. On top of that they were just plain rude! We were literally in the middle of a transaction when we were told they wouldnt help us. If I could I would give them zero stars I would.
The place has gotten %100 better. Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
Rude staff. Bad management.
Probably the worst gun shop in Albuquerque workers are lazy and have attitudes
They are impossible to cancel the membership with. They require autopay and then you can not cancel. After calling, leaving multiple messages and talking to multiple people, it took MONTHS to cancel. On top of that, they said they would refund the last month that they charged because the membership should have been cancelled and it has now been a month since that conversation. I have talked to multiple people and have left a message for the owner (CEO?) All to no avail and no response.
After terrible service at the former Paseo location, I was reluctant and very hesitant to give Calibers my business. That all changed when I met Josiah at the Coors Calibers location. Josiah was very courteous to myself and my wife. Josiah is also one of the few gun salesmen I have met and worked with that was not high pressure sales, patient, knowledgeable, and didnt waste my time by telling me how he doesnt like the trigger weight of one gun versus the other. As long as Josiah is behind the counter at Calibers he will always have my business. To the management of Calibers Coors, if I choose to tip your salesmen for excellent service they should be allowed to except. Thank you.
Greg, at the Coors location is a very unprofessional, arrogant employee who will no doubt cost his employer a loss in business. The prices at Calibers are the highest in town and the range is so so at best. I will not be back and I will instruct all of my friends, family and many students to avoid this establishment at all costs.
Tony and John very informative and really helpful. Thanks for your the great experience.
The Coors location is very clean and well staffed with friendly people. Nice indoor range, once again clean and well kept. Ammo prices are about the same as other places until you get a membership and then with your members discount it gets very close to Walmart on 9mm. Overall a very nice well stocked store with knowledgeable friendly people. A special thanks to a wonderful staff member Sateni for her help with our grips and stances along with our membership. Thank you !!
