I was a Fastenal customer before they cut loose the public. Now that they have, I attempted to re establish an account to purchase some obscure hardware only they carry here in town. i was told that even though i technically had what i needed to open a buisness account with them that they saw this as a one time purchase and that i would be better served to go to order online the way non buisness clients must do to buissnesswiththem. I looked at this person making sure she heard herself and it was clear that even as a buisness, fastenal doesnt want my buisness and wont tell me why.

Used to come and buy nuts and bolts here all the time now I wont because now theyre only commercial theyve lost a lot of customers

Excellent service. I came in here looking for bolts I didnt have the size for (some rattled out on an old boat motor) and the person at the counter was super patient and helpful. This is our number one stop for fasteners and safety gear. We have tried other competitors and have settled on this one. We have used them for years and there products are the best. As a owner operator of a company I know that the pricing is fair and have field tested the products myself. I will continue to use them and recommend them, period.

Theyre nice but it seems like their selection isnt that great. I find stuff at Lowes that they dont have.

Well, a reason not too use this guys anymore, they only take orders online and email, they will call you when ready, great, from Montana, no way I will stay just for a couple of fittings, time is money and stuff gets stolen in Albuquerque, will take my business somewhere else.

Very rude counter service. Was directed to Fastenal by GearWrench warranty contact, who advised me that they warranty GW products. The lady at the counter gave me a blank look when i mentioned that Apex (GearWrenchs manufacturer) sent me, asked me where i bought it and if i had the receipt, and who i spoke to that told me theyd warranty it. I bought this wrench as a set over 3 years ago. Of course i dont have the receipt. She took the wrench to talk to her boss and came back and advised me that they wouldnt be able to warranty the tool. I left very disappointed in Fastenal and this particular employees customer service skills.
