Had the very excellent 16 course tasting menu. Everything was delicious and locally sourced. The wine suggestions were also excellent. It did take 6.5 hours, so maybe that was a bit longer than absolutely necessary, but the ambiance and the very soft cat did make up for it. Also, I want a koi pond entrance to my house.
I don’t leave many reviews, but this place deserves to be known across the state of New Mexico. The fine dining vegan dishes, the naturally rich ingredients, and the lovely presentation of the 8 course dinner is a complete refresher from your normal day to day eats.Alex, the chef, has the taste and care of a high-end artist. Your tastebuds are in for a rejuvenating massage. They serve healthy and many homemade sauces and platters. Her genuine care for you and your specific diet is what stands out among any other restaurant.Michael, the server and her husband, is polite and has the right cadence to his serving. He’s also passionate about supporting his wife’s cooking which brought a wholesome smile to our faces. He’s also a self-taught architect and artist of his own caliber. He helped shape the ambiance of their beautiful eating area inside their home.We also had their incredible breakfast platter the next morning! Irresistible bread and choices 👌I recommend taking a detour if you must so you can experience their food and hospitality. This was the most tasty food I’ve had the pleasure of eating in many years.
I booked this place for a special celebration. It was the best decision ever. The place provided a casual, relaxed, and peaceful environment. We had our dinner against an espectacular bamboo background next to the koi pond. The menu was presented at a deliberate slow pace (our dinner lasted almost 4.5. hours) ; most ingredients were local, organic, and fresh; they were put together with extraordinary ingenuity (e.g., who would think peach sorbet sprinkled with feta cheese would taste like heaven? Delightful!!).Each wine was carefully curated - introduced with a brief description and perfectly paired each course.Alex and Michael provided us with an unforgettable and delectable experience -Indeed, they are the most generous and gracious hosts. Our dinner at Richard B. made our celebration more memorable.o sum up, give yourself the chance to experience one of the best kept secrets in Albuquerque. I assure you: You wont regret it!
I booked a night thinking I was just finding a place to sleep, breaking up a long drive. Instead I sat down to an unbelievable fine dining experience, with music and atmosphere that takes you elsewhere for a little while. My stay in Ernest the Airstream came towards the end of a very long road trip. After days of monotonous eat, sleep, drive, I found a place where I could enjoy myself. It almost felt weird! Michael asked if I wanted dinner, I thought, well I have some bread and peanut butter in the car, I’ll be fine. Thank god he convinced me! I then ordered breakfast on the spot, mid-meal. The breakfast was unreal, amazing with things I had never even heard of before. Alex and Michael are very thoughtful and attentive hosts, people you can connect with and that care. Many thanks for the delicious food and hospitality, I can’t even begin to explain how refreshing this experience was. Spend some time here and spoil yourself, it really is special.
Perfect spot. Great hosts. Wonderful food. Cannot be more grateful for the experience this little haven provided.
The airstream was perfect! It had that vintage vibe we were looking for. Enjoyed our stay very much! Comfy sofa and beds! Would stay again!
Ernest is super hip. You can pretend its 1973 all over again. And the food is amazing. Even the scrambled eggs just taste better there. Its a groovy time, dont miss it! Im going back.
Lovely place. Super comfy beds and pillows. Great decor. Would stay again.
Our stay at Ernest the Airstream was an unforgettable experience, and if I could give a million stars I would. My boyfriend and I stayed for just one night on our way through ABQ, and we elected to enjoy one of Chef Alex’s 5 course meals with a wine pairing. Let me start with this: Alex and Michael’s private club “by the koi pond” was AMAZING. I want to live there. The indoor and outdoor spaces were designed with a humorous sophistication, and we were greeted by the sweetest, most docile Irish Setter when we sat down for dinner. Second: the food was phenomenal, unique, and truly an experience any “foodie” should have. We enjoyed a curated glass of wine with each course. Third: Michael and Alex’s hospitality is unmatched. They even gave us a parting gift after we expressed our love for one of the vinaigrette’s we tasted the night before. We will be back. Thanks Alex and Michael!
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was comfortable and well furnished. The highlight was the food and hospitality. Both were amazing and made my stay quite special, a true bnb experience. I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.
Great food from a locally owned business. Chef Alex takes care with everything she makes. The food is fresh, healthy and delicious. Highly recommend adding their pantry items to your weekly groceries! Personal favorites are the cucumber/avocado salad, vinaigrette, and peanut cashew butter. And if you have a chance eat at their restaurant by the koi pond and stay in Ernest the Airstream. Alex and Michael always make you feel welcome and well-taken care of.
We really cant say enough wonderful things about our stay in Ernest The Airstream and our dining experiences at Sticky Fingers. The owners, Alex and Michael, are beyond delightful. They went above and beyond in every single area to ensure that we had the most amazing stay. We felt spoiled by all of the love and attention that they poured into each tiny detail. We found a hidden gem in Albuquerque; an experience that we wont soon forget!
I have never been hosted with such intricacy and care. Ernest the Airstream was literally a dream and the food was Incomparable. I truly hope I’m able to visit again because I had the sweetest time. They are clearly the kind of people who work Hand in hand with love.
I had the unexpected delight of being able to experience all Alex and Michael offer — a stay in Ernestine😉, brunch by the koi pond, and dang near half of Chef Alex’s magical menu. It was all bliss! ✨✨✨It was my only vacay in 2020 and absolute perfection! Highly recommend!
I had the best experience with sticky fingers abq, with not only the hospitality but the food is delightful, delicious, healthy and made with love. I had the chance to taste many dishes and pleasure of taking home some yummy options such as the zucchini squash soup, secret recipe vinaigrette that goes great in sandwiches, veggie tartar on German bread so delicious, cucumber/avocado salad as a side some blue ans blackberry jam ans peanut cashew butter, tomatoe sauce and the best pizzas I have had. All of these are such a healthy option and I felt great after eating all of them. Please check them out as a caterer I highly recommend.
I highly recommend Sticky Fingers ABQ. The food is amazing. Definitely gourmet quality. Excellent fresh, healthy ingredients that taste divine! Obviously created by a very experienced, creative chef. You wont find anything better!
