I lived in Albuquerque 21 years ago & we went this month on vacation. Thunderbird was my first stop! The best quality 21 years ago & now! Many places have gone to online orders, but not Thunderbird…I am glad they still have the shop so you can see & feel the products. Huge selection of the BEST turquoise. Great prices. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. ❤️

Been here in the past, but last week was the absolute worse service Ive ever had. I have worked service/restaraunt work and I try to be patient and positive as possible especially post-Covid era.I walked around the store twice, then stood for about 10 minutes before anyone ask if I needed help. As far as I could tell there were only 2 other customers. The person who helped me was the worse. I told her several times that post-Covid I wanted to wear my jewelry and that I wanted to repair some items.I brought the pieces with me and she offered no suggestions or help.I brought one of my old squash blossom earrings I inherited from my mom. I lost one of them, and just wanted to match it so I could wear a pair and she actually tried to dissuade me from buying one.I went through the website to familirize myself with what I wanted, I even drew a picture. Everything I said seemed to make her annoyed. She actually put my items in a box with my name to the cashier, and I wasnt even done!!!!If the goal of the store is to sell items to customers...that wasnt her goal. When I checked out, I set somethings aside. I plan to buy those at another store or website. Jeeeeez.

Standard place for jewelry supplies. Mask required. Be prepared to be there awhile as they are short staffed. With that said, all employees are doing what they can and are polite and courteous.

Got some beads to make some earrings but the store was outta the basic color beads I needed. I sell earrings n necklace set n the older ladies that order from me like the basic colors. I made a whole list of colors about 12 n only got 2 basic colors. Black n white.. Oh well enough to get me started. 👍

There are so many better places in town to get your supplies. Avoid Thunderbird at all costs. Would give negative stars if I could.

Have not been there in years, had what I needed but the customer service was my only low score rating. No sense of urgency from the employees. A 5 min job took 25 mins. Everything else is more important rather than the customers.

Im a single mom needing supplies to make money and saw they dont allow children in the store, no exceptions?! Very disappointing. Guess ill take my business elsewhere.

Ive been using Thunderbird for over forty years. They are a great shop. I use them online since I live in Washington State and I visit the store anytime I go back home. Its like going to a candy store, I love looking through all their products. They are the best in the nation. Always helpful and friendly. They have great prices and the best selection.

Dennis was great, I think he spent 2 hours with us. Went to a few other places before this, I wasted my time. This is a large supplier of the tools you need for metal working, has the largest supply of seed beads.

I loved this place because every single employee in there was friendly and helpful Michael helped me find the soldering stuff I needed and went out off his way to make certain I found everything else I came for. At checkout I was assisted by a wonderful woman named Tessa or Tess im bad with names she was friendly and like the others you could tell she liked her job and thats how you earn my business. I will drive right by any other jewelry supply stores to get to Thunderbird Supply Co thats for damn sure!

Ive shopped here for many years, and the products and prices are very good. You have to get used to being patient waiting for assistance, especially when it is busy, as there is not a system for getting help. But when it is your turn, you are the only customer in the store with regards to the service you are given. Take advantage of the sales which are always good. Once you get to know the layout, it is easy to get what you came for. I dont shop in the sterling section, so I dont know what it is like. I shop for beads, stones, and stringing materials mostly.

Not the greatest. I came for bead strands and they were not able to match the color I had. They do have a good number of options for jewelry making but the store seems a little sparse. However they do have a lot of staff so getting help is no problem at all.

This place is an overpriced joke. I came here for a small piece of turquoise, paid $7. I went to Mamas Minerals near Old Town and found a larger, more appropriate stone for literally half the price. And there the female staff werent rude to me like at Thunderbird. Today, I came in to return this overpriced turquoise and the manager refused, stating he has signs. He wouldnt make an exception. Thats fine, while theyre exploiting Native American jewelery makers and other clients, Ill be sharing this experience with thousands of followers on social media 👌

Busy store. So busy no one helps you! I walked around the store 3 times and was not confronted by not one person asking if I needed assistance. There are lots of local places in town that I’m sure would appreciate our business much more.

Went there last week to buy thread and I couldnt find it so I asked a lady that works there and she showed me exactly where the thread was located in the store. The young man that worked the register was very nice. I will be returning soon

I use to love to shop here. But the crew dont care anymore. When buying silver it takes forever. Only a few employees try to help. I glad Santa fe has a new place to shop for silver and other items we might need. If your going to shop here prepare to wait and grow old. Such a shame.

Excellent selection of all types of jewelry making tools, supplies etc. Everything from seed beads up to & including metal working tools i.e. grinders & stamping tools.

Worst customer service. i had a better experience at Rio Grande supply.. rude salespersons not even a thank you from this place.. think Ill stick with rio grande..

This place came very recommended however, I went there for beads and looking for CUT beads and i only found 3 packages on the wall :/ but if your looking for just regular seed beads in neons to primary in the tubes they have them. hopefully soon they will restock and have more cut beads. i like to go in and match up colors and see them personally instead of ordering from a website where the colors may not be what you see online.

Horrible customer service! Smiles get you less attention, unless you have a bulldog face like them then you get all the attention in the world. Such a horrible experience Every time I come here.
