Awesome place and they do a ton of things you wouldnt even imagine. They have a whole retail space where they sell everything from grills to paint (they also paint match), but also can do windows, doors, customer wooden furniture - just about anything you could need you can find at Anderson.

Great experience! I called and a real person picked up! Not an automated prompt message. The person I needed to talk with was with a customer. I left my number for a return call, and within minuets they returned my call. The man on the other line was very help and pleasant. When I arrived at the store the young lady at the front politely directed me to the sales counter. The man I had spoken with remembered our phone conversation. He quickly went about getting the sheets of plywood I needed and took me to the paint counter to meet Mike. I brought a sample of what I needed to match. He even brought Mike at the paint counter a scrap piece of plywood I was going to purchase so he could get an even better match. Mike started working immediately to get a match to my sample. I did not have to take a ticket and come back 30 minuets later. I was only going to buy a quart of the stain, but Mike worked to get the perfect match as if I was going to buy a 1000 gallons. Mike gave instructions on how to apply and was helpful to pick out the correct applicator I needed for the job. I paid for my purchase and drove around back to get loaded up. The employees around back were aware of my small order and were more than helpful to load it into my truck even with it being at the end of their shift. I live about 30 minuets away, but next time I need something I believe the drive will be well worth it. Thank you Anderson Lumber!

I came down here needing a kind of weird cut of lumber. Everyone was very nice but i must give big cudos to willie in the shop. Its very hard to find good,knowledgeable,HELPFUL people in any buisness these days but willie was all of those. I live in knoxville but will alwaus drive here for my lumber needs and its due to willies customer service. Thanks for your help!

Ladonna is an amazing kitchen and bath designer. We love installing her designs, they are flawless. She helps our clients understand and see their vision come to fruition.

Came here instead of the big box stores to support a local company. Asked for pressure treated lumber, was given an invoice number by a moderately professional person at the back sales desk and was told to go to the front to check out. The lady up front was friendly, processed my invoice number and gave me the total which I thought was quite pricey. Paid the invoice and went to the yard to collect my lumber. Sat in my truck for 15 minutes while a forklift was blocking the route. Finally a friendly guy came up, looked at my invoice and told me where to go. Loaded the lumber myself, no big deal there. Upon further inspection of the invoice it seems I was charged for #1 premium grade and not the standard #2. Not sure why the default lumber would be #1 grade. The guy who made the invoice seemed eager to get me out of his way. He never asked what grade I wanted. All in all I will not be back for any more purchases.

I enjoy the place alot, friendly folks who generally care about their product.

We had to have 10 additional windows in our home replaced after the contractor we had after our house fire dropped the ball.Randall was very professional and great to work with. He another guy did the replacement themselves. They made sure each window was properly insulated installed and the inside/outside was caulked properly to prepare for the interior touch up and complete exterior paint job we have to get done.They removed our old windows without damage to the exterior siding of our home as well. This was important to us, as our previous contractor was careless and did damage that our insurance company is still fighting us over.I highly recommend Anderson Lumber for your window needs.

Well as a customer I am always happy with what I get from here. Windows and floors are extensive and the kitchen cabinets area is spot on for whatever design you need. Go see for yourself. I will never buy a door from anyone else.

Full disclosure up front, I work here. If you want custom home finishes the average box store cant compete.Employees with product knowledge, factory training on both installation and services. Custom products made at the manufacturer and in house is something most other home centers cant provide.

Staff was courteous, professional and took their time to insure I got everything I needed for the project and even made cuts for me that I needed. I would highly recommend this business.

This has been our “go to” place for 27 years. We’re a ‘do everything ourselves’ couple and Anderson’s has always been there to answer any questions we have and provide the excellent quality materials we’ve needed most every time! Can’t recommend them enough. Have had a door-wall and doors installed by them and couldnt be happier with the quality of product selection and the installation!

Unbelievable how the employees are treated so poorly and the most unorganized business. They failed to turn in the appropriate paperwork for their drivers causing further issues along with being unable to keep their order receipts organized per load (BOL’s). The front office manager is also oblivious about TDOT laws and is incompetent to file the appropriate paperwork. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY OR MAKE A PURCHASE FROM THEM!

Horrible experience... we ordered a door back in oh Idk late August early September... its now almost February and still no door. Communication has been horrible. We have reached out multiple times and it takes forever to get a response and when we do get ahold of them they tell us itll definitely be a certain month and yet again the month passes.

Courteous staff and great products in the store. Also great lumber. Definitely check them out next time ur doing a home project or renovation.

Anderson Lumber provided most of the materials we needed for us to rebuild our home after the Gatlinburg Firestorm: lumber, roofing, Hardie board siding, windows, doors, decking, and etc. We are pleased with the quality of everything we have received. All of the employees have bent over backwards to help us. We highly recommend them for your construction needs--whether it be for remodeling or rebuilding.

Ive been going to ALC for decades. The best lumber and supplies hands down. Very knowledgable and helpful and can find what you need at a reasonable price. And locally owned to boot.

As an observer of my in-laws purchasing cabinets from this company, I cant imagine how this business stays open. Or at least the kitchen cabinet segment of this company. They continually are told they will be called back by an employee named Rita, but they always have to follow up with her. When they do talk to her they cant trust one word out of her mouth. They were called a week ago to have their order installed. They were told the kitchen wouldnt be ready. When they called back today to schedule the install since it is now ready, Rita says the order was never placed. But yet she called and said that there were only final pieces of trim to install and then the granite company could come in and take down measurements.The office appears to be so disorganized that it seems they dont even know which customer they are talking to. The saddest part is that they have cashed the check for the order so they feel stuck and that they cant do anything to go to another cabinet company and start over - which would be probably easier and less hassle than trying to finish the install process.So I may not have been the person buying it, but with my in-laws living with me, Im certainly seeing first hand the most unprofessional and disorganized employees I have ever dealt with.

Long history with Anderson Lumber, they supplied a lot of building supplies when I built my house back in 2000. Have been in and out for various things, Ron was/is always helpful in doors but most recently Mike Payne really went the extra mile in the paint department. I ran into a real problem in an application/product from another store I had used where specifics were not spelled out on the label or the manufactures website. I talked to every big box store in town, and three or four paint stores. Mike took the initiative and called and talked to manufactures of a couple of companies and took the time to help me figure out what to do to correct the problem. Thanks, Mike, Doug, Ron and all the other great staff at Anderson.

The lady we spoke to was bothered by having to set her cellphone down to answer a basic question for us. Then, she gave us terribly inaccurate information which was proven wrong in 4 seconds by the carpenter. Then, she went back to her cell phone.

The owner of Anderson Lumber acted like an unbelievably rude and nasty person to me. I do charity work for a well known, nationally registered charity organization that helps very sick people. Part of my duties include talking to owners and managers at different store locations. When I went into Anderson Lumber, the owner went out of his way to be disrespectful to me when I was only trying to be respectful towards him. I think a person who acts this way is simply reflecting what is on the inside of them self and I will never return to this place again, much less would I ever trust these people to sell me anything. Someone who acts this way is showing their true colors. For the owner of a business to act this way is reflective over the entire organization.

Very disappointed with the lack of customer service I received from this small business. I went into the store looking for assistance and guidance on purchasing balusters, posts, and hand rails for a home improvement project. Not only was the salesperson not helpful, she acted like my questions were a bother and inconvienience to her. I left feeling very disappointed with the way I was treated but went back later hoping my previous experience could be chalked up to a bad salesperson. Well, you can imagine my disappointment when I was treated the same way by yet another employee. I guess this is just the general way they do business. If you aren’t a male contracter making bulk purchases, they don’t care about your business. Instead, I made these purchases from a big box store.

NOT IMPRESSED. Quote was not cheaper than Lowes but thought the wood quality would be better(its not).. Customer service is weak. If you want anything done DO NOT call, just go into the store. Ordered our framing material from here.. we did not receive everything we ordered in delivery, first delivery guy was amazing and called to the store to get the right stuff out to our property.. second and third delivery drivers were a nightmare (attitude and where/how they dumped our wood)... Ordered the rest of my material from Lowes and will continue to do so.
