He’s extremely professional and holds his standards high on quality, customer service and everything. The the owner cares, installer cares. Had an alarm system installed in a vehicle I just purchased.Tom and his team exceeded my expectations once again.I have been a Car Tunes customer for 35 years at least, I wont go anywhere else.After the install Tom went over the operation very well and said if I ever have questions,just stop by.Dont screw yourself or your car or truck and go anywhere else.The electronic systems in modern vehicles are very complex and easily destroyed by rookie installers.

I intended to give them a 5 star after the 2 first encounters with the front office team, they were great, professional and friendly. They answered all my questions and provided me with different options.But unfortunately when I went to pick up my car, the car was ready but that was OK because I took it in late anyway. I didnt see the car out front and I was eager to see it. I went to to the shop area and asked one of the employees if can see the car, he took me to see it but he was rude and he made sure that I knew it. He could have told sorry it is against shop policy or that I had to ask the front office and I would have understood.Anyway I was glad he was not the one working on my car and at that time I decided to give it 3 stars but when I went back to the front office to pay and pick up my keys agin I noticed how friendly they were, I thought it wont be fair to these gentlemen and just took 1 star for that one bad apple.Oh yeah, the work they did on my car was great too. I would go back for more of their services and will recommend it to family and friends.I just wish the management see this and have a word the guy at the shop to improve his communication skills with customers.Thank you for looking.

Picked up a radio from there today, the salesman Brian helped me decipher through some wiring, took a phone call when I was installing it to help me out, and wanted me to call back when I finished to let him know how it went and how it worked. His advice worked perfectly, he was incredibly helpful, and an overall cool dude. If his coworkers are half as cool and smart as he is, this should be everyone’s go to radio spot downriver. Absolutely fantastic customer service and a nice clean shop, 10/10.

I had a remote start put on my van this morning. They rolled my windows down so not to lock the keys in. Now I cant get my passenger window up. They didnt make sure it was all the way up.

Slow .... very slow. If you got time give them your dime because I’m agitated. Work preformed was fine which is why I gave two stars. 35 mins just to cash out is beyond ridiculous!

They installed my stereo in my Ram 1500 Sport. Very happy with the way it sounds. Employees are nice and very knowledgeable. Got a remote starter installed and it is great. I made an appointment came in and dropped my car off. Very easy process. Once I got the car back they showed me how to start it with the remote but there is a lot more it can do in the manual. You get the box it came in to take with you which is great. I also got my windows tinted at the same time. When you first get the car and see them you may see some water spots or bubbles in them which will go away after a week or two. The tint job was good but they did leave a little piece of the backing film on the glass and is now stuck under the tint. Its in the corner of the driver side door window at the bottom so its not in sight. Its not a big deal. But if it was in my area of sight or a bigger piece i would be annoyed. They do have a warranty on it so it it does happen they will fix it for you. Also to note I thought the remote starter was messing up for a week because the car wouldnt start with the remote or unlock the doors. Turns out it was just the remote battery and it was back to normal with a new battery I put in. The remote I have uses two of the flat batteries they are the thinner ones and it came in a pack as a pair. Check your remote before you buy the batteries those little batteries are expensive. Also dont tighten your key fob screw too tight it could crack the plastic just fyi. I have the Excalibur model AL1775-3DB remotes one 2-way remote and one 1-way remote with 3000ft range. They work great. It was pricey though for the tint and starter. Im happy with the service and customer service they were very helpful and friendly good service.

Many years ago I had an fm transmitter installed in my van. It worked perfectly until this year when the awful Detroit roads shook something loose in the wiring, causing my radio to short out. Even though the initial installation was close to 10 years ago, Car Tunes fixed the problem free of charge. Amazing customer service. Thanks Car Tunes!

Well, Ive actually never had an experience at Car Tunes. But I can say this: I was at OReillys Auto Parts in Lincoln Park and their employee could not help me with the installation of my car antenna. But one gentleman by the name of Br(y)(i)an guided me through it and told me exactly what to do on how to repair it. He even attempted to put it on for me, since I did have the antenna with me. He later said that he worked at Car Tunes in Allen Park. While I did not experience any product or service from Car Tunes directly, this guy sure gave Car Tunes a good name in my books; offering to help a total stranger, even when being off the clock so to speak, in a totally different area. If all of Car Tunes employees are of this characteristic and consideration, such as this guy, then you are in good hands by taking your car to Car Tunes.

They were very honest with me! I went in to get a remote start which is usually 250$ but they said my car already had some parts they would usually have to put in so they knocked off some money for me instead of charging me the full price!! Awesome place!!

My girl friend went in there to get a remote starter and just felt harassed and pressured. The sales guy wouldnt even tell her about the cheaper models, it wasnt until she saw a sign that it was brought up. He insisted that she had to put down a $20 deposit to make an appointment. When she opened up her wallet, that had our bill money in it, he looked and said to her with all that youre only giving me $20 .. how rude???On the day we got it installed they told us 2-3 hours. 2 hours later we got a call that her car needed an extra part for an extra $70. Now either a) they did a bait and switch on us or b) these guys just dont know much about cars. Either way it is cause to not go there with your car. After waiting 4.5 hours we went there and the car was ready, we didnt get a call, we just got sick of waiting.All in all the starter works, but rude and pressuring people, false promises, extra charges, and also a 4.5 hour install with no courtesy call. Go at your own risk, we never will again.

Came in spoke with the manager about tonneau covers. Got his card and told him I would check out some other prices. After an hour of shopping around. I called back up there to set the appointment and place a deposit down. Another employee took my number down and said the manager would call me back. Its been 3 weeks and still no call back..... The car tunes on telegraph road was able to help me.

A radio was purchased for me for a Christmas gift, and the process to have it installed has been unpleasant. Scheduling with their availability was nearly impossible and took more than 2 months to find a time slot!!! I was encouraged to drop the car off so they could squeeze it in between appointments, I did this 4 times, and they did not get to my car. Once I had an appointment time, the instillation took almost 2 times as long as the time frame given. They did not tell me what was taking so long, until I asked. And at check out they tried to make me pay an additional $85!! I told them it was paid in full as a gift, and sales man explained that it was not. It was not resolved until I said I would get the person who paid on the phone. The salesman called another employee for 10 minutes while I waited, then dropped the additional fee. Now, my sound is cutting in and out and I will have to schedule yet another appointment and bring it back. When I called to inquire about the sound cutting out, I asked why the sound was not check beforehand. The person I spoke t indicated they Dont do that. I am very unhappy with my entire experience!

I purchased a Groupon to have a remote started installed. I couldnt be happier with the product and the service I received at Car Tunes. They were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend them.

I love Car Tunes, I have been a customer for years, they even fixed someone elses work and didnt charge me up the wazoo to fix it!

Had a radio and remote start installed. So far so good after a few months.Update:Had the remote start for about 5 months now and went to get something out of the vehicle early Sunday evening to find that even though the vehicle was fine Friday evening when I parked it, now the remote wont unlock the doors, alarm goes off and cant be shut off w/o undoing the battery or listening to it go off for 5 minutes and it starys but shuts off after a few seconds. So, because my employer expects written notice when acquiring time off I now face getting written up for time off without notice, a days pay loss and the expense of paying for a tow truck. I wouldnt recommend purchasing these items and regret I did. Anyone want to bet Im not going to be a happy customer when this is done? Its a real disappointment when you want to take the boat out and dont know if your gonna be able to depend on your very expensive remote start failing you at the worst time.UpdateTo my surprise they actually went beyond expectations to solve the problem. May be a problem with the ignition so waiting to see what the mechanic says.

Big rip off !!I told them to install an auxillary cord into my GM sedan radio so I can play music from my phone - they said no problem.Then when I go to pick up the car I find out they installed an FM Transmitter and charged we $130 for it !I could of went to walmart and did the same thing for $15. RetardsAlso I got their top of the line alarm and key FOBThe $1100 system stopped working after 3 months.Had to return my vehicle and have them fix it.Come to Car Tunes for low quality and high prices - along with salty employees !
