So I had a Strat that needed to get the saddles adjusted and this guy named John fixed it perfectly and even did more than that. He also showed me an Amp and sold me on it. Everybody else there were friends with each other and super nice to all the customers. Thank you John and everyone else here. GO HERE, it is truly an amazing place to get repairs and they have a very wide variety of guitars, keyboards, microphones, basses, etc. 5 stars isn’t even enough to account for my experience. 12 stars.

I have to say that the people at the Guitar Center in Allen Park are very nice! Helped us pick an electronic drum for our son. On this most recent visit I signed up for guitar lessons and since everyone was so nice and helpful we signed our son up for drum lessons! I hope you all keep the mindset you have. I’m grateful.

My son and I visited the Allen Park, MI Guitar Center on 6/5/21. The mission was to find a new 5-string bass for my son. While there, I headed into the keyboard area (I took lessons as a child but havent played since 1989 or so). Kyle approached me and we just started chatting. I appreciated his easy going, relaxed nature. As we talked, he asked if I ever thought about playing again and my answer was all the time, but I dont have a lot of free time. He explained to me that they had some great keyboards without a lot of money out of pocket. So, I ended up purchasing a Casio CDP S350 that they had on sale. Im glad that I did! I love this unit and have already downloaded an app to help be get reacquainted with the keys. Thank you, Kyle, for your assistance and your calm and reassuring demeanor. Your kind words about playing an instrument struck a chord with me. If youre Kyles manager and reading this, please mentor him and help him grow. I work in sales and see a lot of potential in this young man!

If you need to grab a cable in a pinch, building a bedroom demo studio, or looking to buy a guitar or drums; its a good place to go. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the stuff they stock.If youre a beginner or just need to pick up little odds and ends (cables, picks, tuners, etc), its a great place to go.

Worst customer service EVER! Sales rep 1 went to the back to see if they had the gear that the website said they had, 10 minutes later I see him leaving and saying good bye to sales rep 2, who by the way was clueless and couldnt answer the simplest questions. Manager was downright rude and offered no help either. If I HAVE to have something today Ill drive the 30 miles one way and shop at the Canton or Roseville stores. But honestly, I went home and ordered from Chicago Music Exchange and had a marvelous experience. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

This place is awesome, I have been going to this store a couple times a week for the past 2 months. The sales team and workers here are very knowledgeable and will go out of their way to help you have the best experience possible at a music store. A special thanks to Jerome, Scott, Amy and Nate. My first time to guitar center and It could not have been a better visit...This place is a very cool place, there are very nice people and if you like music this is the best place to come...they have a large variety of music related stuff, and I would Definitely go back anytime!!

Nice enough store. However, felt like any question I could have asked would have been bothersome. Additionally the delivery of any answer to said questions was rather rude, perhaps more careless is a better description, and tonally void of quote friendliness.The associates name was Nate.I was buying a $299.99 Banjo to try to get into playing. Something to learn on. A Savannah. I couldnt justify the $60 2 year insurance.Nates response to me declining was, I dont know man, looks like alot of small parts. Like something could go wrong.Again in a very annoyed tone...I also asked about finger picks and he just pointed at the rack and said anything theyd have would be at the bottom.Then I wanted to look at a boss loop pedal for my electric and asked about it. He was slightly willing to guide me there but didnt offer to stick around to answer questions. Which I had...My visit feels tarnished so hopefully my enthusiasm for this hobby sticks when I get my Banjo home.Also when I asked about a box or a case, they had neither. Id have to leave case less or with a guitar case that wouldnt fit.Left the store with it in my hands feeling even worse about my visit.Thanks guys.

Where else can you go with such a large selection of instruments and devices and play them for free? Try it before you buy it!!! I just wanted to say something before I go. I haven’t specifically been in person to this store, I’m sure the employees are fantastic and helpful. I have, however, received a guitar from this store along with a call from the manager Alyssa. I purchased a $750 Breedlove Organic Granadillo guitar and shortly after received a call from Alyssa. She let me know that the guitar had been in their humidified acoustic room and was in excellent condition. I expressed my discomfort with receiving a floor model while paying the full price for the guitar, however, she assured me that the guitar was in excellent/like new condition. On top of her assurance, she let me know that Guitar Center didn’t have many of the model left so the odds I found one in box were slim. I received the guitar today and upon unwrapping I found multiple deficiencies in the finish, cracking where the neck attaches to the body, and a large scratch on the back completely ruining the granadillo aesthetic. Needless to say, I’m disappointed with my purchase.Edit: the manager reached out personally via email which was a nice gesture. The cracking around the neck could’ve been shipping but the scratch was probably. Moral of the story is to only buy guitars you’ve seen in person. I have since ordered a new, in box version from a separate store.

We felt really safe, I had brought my daughter in the get her first guitar that she brought herself and it did not have a lot of people in the building. We felt like VIP . We will be back. Ive got a short timetable to get some pickups for my strat. I saw on the Guitar Center App that the ones Im looking for were In Stock and Available Today. Placed the order. Several hours later I called just to see if I could get a time table that I could plan my day around they came back with its on the truck, wait for the email to say that your order is ready. 4 hours after that my window for being able to get them is closing quick, I called back and the guy I talked to said he had no idea when theyd be able to get these pickups off the truck, it could be tonight, it could be tomorrow. I ended up cancelling the order, Ill go elsewhere. Regardless of whether or not the App/Site made promises it couldnt keep or the Guitar Center employee wasnt willing to go out of their way to help me out, Guitar Center let me down.

They have a great selection of guitars. The instruments are sometimes in rough shape. Many have well warn strings. Staff is helpful for the most part. Not too excited to make deals but ask anyway. Pay attention to the guitar you want and make sure it leaves the store with you how you want it. The greatest thing is the 45 day return policy. Every guitar sounds different when you get it home. You no like? Just return it.

Went in to pick up one item with a few questions to ask...wasnt many in the store but those that were was self distancing everyone in respect to having a mask on and most of all the salesmen were very polite and helpful nice place.

Never has a guitar tech in so a simple restringing is not an option....but they will staff 5 people that are uncertified to work on guitars to apologize to you when you wasted your time thinking a guitar center could help you.

Great experience, and fair pricing for my used equipment. I did my research and was pleased to get what I was wanting for my PRS, and all said and done the entire process took just a few minutes. Aside from being helpful with my trade, they also assisted a ton of other people while being swamped.

The employees here are all knowledgeable and passionate about music. If you need help theyre always ready to assist you, even if youre not buying that day. Ive never felt badgered to make a purchase or open a line of credit by any employee. In fact most employees are just as happy to give you information as to sell you something. Everyone here is polite and helpful.

Shop worn instruments. The help must be garage band musicians there knowledge of instruments and equipment is extremely limited. As most big box stores you take what the have at high prices. Convinced my to stay with local brick and mortar, mom and pop places where service counts

I literally just wanted to buy a laptop stand. Pro audio guy was pretty busy so naturally I asked one of the other 10 employees in the store to show me where they are. He said Id have to ask pro audio. You cant help me find where something is located in the store you work in?? I just wanted to grab one so I could pay for it nothing more. After not being able to get a word in with the pro audio guy for twenty minutes I left. The best part is the store manager walked past me few times while I was waiting for pro audio to finish his transaction. No hello or is there anything I can help with. Sad because Allen Park is much closer to my home but I will gladly make the trip to the Canton store if it means somebody will actually want to sell me something.

As Guitar Centers go, there are better locations than this. You know what youre getting with the big box store: great prices on strings & most accessories, & lots of instruments. Less variety here. Many instruments are far out of reach & service is a little distant. Be ready to do a lot of tuning.

Great workers otherwise its a guitar center so you kinda already know how that is if you play guitars. Just this one has amazing people who work there.

Hardly ever stocked with anything. Really weird vibes. Do yourself a favor and head to the Southfield location. Otherwise you will waste your time.

Visited today on 7-12-2020. This place is great. The staff here are super helpful in every way. I had a return from Christmas for an incomplete bass package that was delayed due to covid19 and finally got in there today to get it straightened out. They went all the way. Lisa took care of the exchange like a pro, and both John and Bubba took care of the instrument to make sure it was on point before leaving the store. If you have any questions about if Guitar Center in Allen Park is where you should go, then take this review as gospel. You wont leave empty handed or with regret. Went in there looking to get educated on what weighted keyboards to buy, and walked out with a really great deal! The sales person, Aaron, helped greatly with showing me an array of brands. There was no pressure, just an honest person that knew what he was talking about. Ill be back for sure in the future!

I buy most of my things through Guitar Center

I dont want to say lower quality than other guitar centers but you can tell people dont visit it as often as others. There are very few used items in the store which can make it hard to find a good deal. They havent had a tech for a while but now I believe they have one, you should call first if thats what youre going in for. Store is decent size but is usually pretty empty (maybe thats a good thing). But you probably wont be able to crank anything even a little. The setup is actually pretty nice but Ive visited better guitar centers.

Staff is super friendly at this location, maybe even more so that the other locations Ive been too on the metro Detroit area but they have all been pretty cool. I bought my first guitar from this store back in 2006 and Ive been shopping there ever since. They price match and usually have a great selection of electrics and acoustics in too. The parts counter usually has the parts Im looking for in stock as well.

I had a great first time experience. Went there to get strings. Dan helped me find strings for my guitar and suggested a few other items that i gladly bought. And i got to play quite a few different guitars, and the guitar prices were actually really affordable. Going back to buy a guitar from them asap

This place has really come along way... Its my home of homes for guitar center.. a far cry from what is was a couple years ago.. managment has really turned things around with getting good help and people who care.... Now if I could just get them to carry more equipment and better selection in store like the other 3 in the metro Detroit area this would make em perfect.... I guess we can try wait and see... But overall they are the best a customer service, and if they dont have it they will help you get it... 5 stars all the way.. Been going here for years, and its at its best!!!

For starters there is a good variety of options for your musicality. The staff is very knowledgeable and offer assistance admirably. Their free classes inspire the novice to sign up for more lessons from instruments to sound. A great place to make dreams come true.

I am a drummer and they usually have the basics in stock. A good selection of sticks and heads. They also take un a good selection of used shells and cymbals. Lisa at Guitar Center Allen Park MI is the most understanding staff weve ever spoken with. We had a huge problem with our order, a gift for our sons 18th birthday, and found out his gift would not arrove on time. Lisa listened, empathized, and was very kind to my husband and I. She immediately sought for advise from her Supervisor, and took care of our problem so quickly. She even said she will be the one to help pack and ship my sons gift to ensure it leaves on time, and then called us back a few minutes later woth the tracking#. She didnt through all the lengths, but she did, with a very kind and professional manner. She was happy to help. We felt her eagerness to help solve the problem...which we will never forget.We are definitely going to be repeat customers. Sometimes I come here to buy audio equipment for my video production. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable on various areas of music, audio and video production.My brother bought a piono and then changed his mind he then returned it and they gave him a full refund. My friend also once damaged his microphone which he bought through Guitar center and he was able to get a replacement.

I arrived in search of a new keyboard. I waited for almost 40 minutes, and not one salesperson came forward to speak to me. I finally gave up and left. Very poor. Good bye.
