The best thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere! The murals and design was very creative. Thought it would be a great place for a business meeting, but that was not the case. The people working there were so loud talking to each other when taking drive thru orders etc. that we could hardly carry on a conversation because they were so loud. We tried the Croffles and they were okay, but nothing I would go back for again and I certainly would not go back for a business meeting. Maybe it was just a fluke that day, but was disappointed . Just wasn’t what I expected.

My family and I have been patrons of Caffe Promenade ever since we came to Allen years ago. They always had the best donuts and kolaches, hands down. Today I found out that they have stop selling donuts, and started selling Croffles. After trying a couple, they should change the name of these things to Awfuls. This is a huge step down for a place I held in such high regard. Its a shame I will never be going back, this used to be such a terrific place. Caffe Promenade will not be able to stay in business selling inferior products, I hope a better donut shop takes its place soon.

Ive always had customer service and quality of product (food & drink).

The coffee and food there is fine, but the owner tried to hire me for 2 weeks of unpaid training and said if I lasted 6 months I would be reimbursed for that time. Like, seriously? That is not right. It was a few years ago, so I hope they change, but if not, that is truly evil.

Just walking up to this coffee house you get the feeling that youre not welcome. Signs all over the door stating what is NOT allowed and not a single sign saying come on in. The owners should re-evaluate their porch appeal.No loitering and no public restrooms at coffee house? You might as well be a coffee shack for drive-through only.

Good breve latte and really nice atmosphere. Happen to be in the area and decided to come by for my breve latte. Upon coming inside Im taken aback by the atmosphere its very neat from any coffee cafe Ive been to. I ordered my drink and a chocolate donut. Both were pretty good. This place is an a area thats not far from 75 and Bethany but enough away not to be over crowded.Would recommend when in the area.

Great Coffee... Excellent atmosphere...

The staff are super nice and patient with orders. They work fast and almost every time I go everything is correct and delicious. Only complaint is the cafe mocha I ordered last week tasted like just milk and coffee. Otherwise this is a great local coffee spot.

This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it! I love finding places tucked away like this. The Barista/Baker/Chef did an amazing job explaining everything to me and was very patient my with my indecisiveness. Everything looked good!However, after tasting the breakfast sandwich, I definitely should have just stuck with the coffee and donuts. You can never go wrong with those! The sandwich was very small and tasted a little stale, but the coffee was great and their pastries were fantastic. ☕🍩👍

Favorite cafe ever! Best donuts ever! Their icings are so yummy and I don’t think I would think to say that about another donut shop. But the strawberry and chocolate ones are my FAV! Okay but mostly, their hot chocolate is THE BEST EVER! You have to try it Blended! Or more commonly called Frozen Hot Chocolate! I have never tried a hot chocolate recipe that is like this one! They better never close cause I need this in my life. I also love their Peach or Mango Snows in the summer! They also have yummy cake and cheesecake (when available). The inside is BEAUTIFUL. I’ve been going since they opened when I was in high school.

Their bubble tea was delicious! I wish their large was a bit larger, but the flavor was very impressive. For what we ordered, they were pretty fast at serving it to me.

This place is amazing. They have the best donuts ever: the bread is fluffy and dense, not overcooked or greasy with lots of air pockets. The chocolate is rich and delicious, and the cream filling in the chocolate eclair is smooth and perfect. (Have I encouraged you to get a donut yet? ;))Seriously, this is hands down the best donut shop around, and I have tried several. The ambiance is also warm and inviting.The staff is always pleasant, and it is very clean. They are also taking very good measures during this trying time: The staff wear masks, and their drive-thru window remains open for orders. They also have a tray they use to extend food to you from the window for “no touch” acceptance.I can clearly see that Caffe Promenade is run be people who truly care, not only about the quality of their donuts and beverages, but also for the safety of their staff and their customers. 🙂

While I stopped by for a slice of cake (birthday), the had none due to a reduced Covid menu. Got the cinnamon scones instead. Quite delicious!

My favorite cafe in Allen. The owner and employees are great. Love the environment and I love how much space there is for people to get work done. I’ve spent so many hours of my life at this cafe getting work done and I’ve never been disappointed.

Updating this review Aug 2021.They no longer serve donuts. Or cinnamon rolls. They now offer mochi style donuts, which are rubbery and just not what I (or any donut lover) is looking for.Previously their cake donuts, glazed and chocolate, and cinnamon rolls were fantastic here. They were so tasty that they would regularly sell out before close. Why would you stop serving that? Why you wouldnt try to slowly integrate these newer items in with your bestsellers instead of just immediately alienating your customer base?This is such a bad move... the current selection was limited and unappetizing. Nothing is labeled so you have to communicate with a less than enthusiastic employee through thick masks and loud AC fans what type a muffin is at the bottom of the container.Then you find out its just the same generic thing they serve as Continental Breakfast at Motels.Its complimentary at motels but here two iced coffees and two muffins will set you back 15 dollars!Im so bummed, I would go out of my way to get breakfast items here... but now there is no such incentive.Review From 2020 -The iced vanilla latte and cinnamon roll were absolutely delicious. Unique flavors and it wasnt the usual donut shop ingredients. Friendly, upbeat service. Drive-thru is a great concept. Highly recommend!

This is a good place to study peacefully. Their food is pretty good and their lattes/coffee is good and not too pricy. I would recommend coming here if you want to study or just have a nice chat with family/friends.

We used to come in a LOT more often but the last few months every time we come in our drink cup is only 3/4 full. Disappointing for how much you pay you’d expect a full cup and expect consistency. Other than that drinks, pastries, and donuts are always delish!

Nice place in Allen! Friendly barista, nice seating areas to get some work done. Drive through bell is a bit loud and jarring unfortunately, feels a bit out of place in an otherwise low key spot. Coffee was surprisingly good! Decent food selection.

Absolutely LOVE this place! My favorite drink is the hot chocolate with Caramel syrup. If you let them know you don’t want it super hot they can make it the perfect temperature for you to enjoy immediately rather than waiting for it to cool down. They have pretty much everything Starbucks has but shorter lines and nice decor! I like to come here when I want to catch up with friends but not be in a loud crowded place like Starbucks.I have been coming here for years! I would come hang out here when I was in college trying to study or take a test and when I wanted to just hang out with a couple friends! They have free WiFi, comfy chairs and tables with plenty of laptop/book/paperwork space.They sell muffins, croissants and kolaches too. Donuts, coffee and breakfast items galore!

Great coffee, great pricing, friendly staff, clean and cozy atmosphere. What more could you want from a coffee shop? They had a delicious smelling selection of fresh donuts too (although I didnt try any). Definitely will come back here again.

FAVORITE place to chill. The atmosphere is completely relaxed with comfortable couches, chairs and relaxed music, yet they also have a large table with outlets and chairs for quiet business meetings and work. Food is super tasty with smoothies, donuts and other breakfast fare. And the interior design of the place is VERY detailed and unique. My favorite place to go and catch up with good friends, read a book, get some work done or just relax.

Solid neighborhood coffee shop that has been around for a while. After a few visits, you will see some familiar faces and book clubs come in. Internet will require you to ask for a password, but is reasonably fast. Sometimes it is only staffed with a single person, so be patient if you hit a busy time. Coffee is good (milk teas are too), but getting a conversation or work done here is pleasant.

The coffee drink i had there was quite good. When a lot of places make cappuccino they scorch the milk and add too much. This was perfect. I wish they used real cups instead of to go cups when you eat in. Donuts were fresh. Would have given 4 stars, but they have a 30.06 sign in the window.

I enjoy this coffee/donut shop very much. My children enjoy the donuts and so do I. The decor is pretty earthy and the couches are comfortable. Its one of the few independent coffee shops that I am aware of in Allen. Tired of Starbucks, try these guys out.

Excellent coffee and pastries. Try the cinnamon old fashioned and ask them to warm it up just a bit. mmm. Nice quaint and quiet place to read, work or meet. We meet on Thursdays 6:30 am for bible study. Quiet enough but pretty busy.

A nice surprise in East Allen. An upscale coffee house without the Starbucks attitude. A little on the hip side but not over bearing.

I hate to give an independent coffee shop a bad review but the espresso I ordered is so visibly burnt and smells so burnt (and tastes so burnt) theres no way they couldnt tell before they gave it to me.

Great tasting coffee, milk tea, and other drinks. The donuts are a huge step up from typical strip mall shops. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the prices are very reasonable.

Large americano had 4 shots but I couldn’t taste any coffee. It didn’t have any Crema. I asked barista to remake my americano but put half filled water and now I can taste the coffee and it has Crema. If I go back, I’d definitely ask for large americano with extra 2 shot of espresso and make sure the cup is only half filled.

If you are looking for European style coffee or even Starbucks style coffee this place isnt for you. My Americano tasted like tea. Id say the coffee was closer to a dinner coffee, which if you are into that, then this place is for you. Ive been here a few times since it is walking distance from my house. But, the coffee just isnt grea and I feel like Im being yelled at when asked for my order. My quest continues for a great coffee shop in Collin County.

Cafe Promenade used to be called Escapé. Its worth noting that the name was the only thing that changed. The same owner. The same great ambiance, same great drinks and food, and the same wonderful and caring owner. I only bring it up to say that Ive been a regular at this coffee shop for years, and have loved it extensively.The interior decoration was designed and installed by the owner, and its nothing short of amazing. Ive never been in a coffee shop with a more relaxing and comfortable ambiance.But enough about the great owner and interior. I want to make sure that I address the excellent hand created beverages and pastries. Ive never had a bad cup of joe, and the muffins are always fantastic. They also have special offerings only available for limited runs.They have a large.. No, a gigantic table that seats 10+ people with power outlets for laptops and mobile devices, as well as cozy couches and tables. There is excellent Wi-Fi, the passcode to which is available with a $5 purchase.

Great atmosphere.and solid selection of food/drinks. Couches for those that like to spread out, and a work station for people to plug in or study. Not exactly vegetarian friendly, but there are some options like smoothies available.

Comfortable place for coffee, donuts, a pastry brunch, or a study group meetup within reasonable distance of Collin College Spring Creek. The mandatory $5 purchase for card payment seems like a bonehead management decision for a coffee shop ($5 donut to help you finish your coffee?), password protected wifi is also inconvenient. Decor is pretty wild! Ill come back again soon to try a bubble tea.
