Wow, these guys are awesome! After running all around parts of Louisiana and East Texas this was my final stop. From here out it will definitely be my first. Buzz in sales was honest and upfront, there was never any hidden fees or any tricks. Before I ever even test road the bike I knew exactly how much it was going to cost, awesome salesperson. Barry in service was so helpful. I was making the switch from street to dirt and had so many questions, he gave great advice and lots of wonderful tips that are going to help me going forward. Every person that I came in contact with in this dealership was top-notch. A team that takes care of each other and cares about their customers. The store was very busy on the weekend and I never felt unattended to. Great job guys, Maxim is the place to go.

The Service Dept. was superb! I had a problem with an oil plug I couldnt get loose and they fixed it and changed the oil in excellent time.Great attitudes and friendly. They empathized and communicated through the relatively short ordeal.I will be back for further service! Thank you, Guys!

Service technicians are either negligent, malicious or both. Took my Shadow for a simple oil change. Had about 2700 miles on it. No issues with the bike at all. After the oil change I noticed a small drop of oil on the ground about every two days. Took it it back to have them look it over. They said to clean the bike and monitor it. Could just be a little spillage. After another week it was still dripping. Took it back to have them look in to it. This time they said it must be an O ring issue. They had the bike for 6 hrs. Said they replaced and because I was patient they wouldnt charge. Sounds a little fishy. Now the bike is leaking oil like a sieve. Puddling on a daily basis. Cant ride it back in because it may damage the engine. Will probably have get it towed. How does a simple oil change turn in to a major oil leak? Im sure their technicians will find the problem and make it worse.

We purchased a CForce 500 ATV on 5/15/21. The sales side of the experience was good but they were quite busy so it took a couple of hours to complete the transaction. I gave four stars for that. Im disappointed with the servicing of the vehicle. First, the rear A-arms had not be greased, the zerks looked like a grease gun never touched them; I put four pumps of grease in each zerk (a small amount of water came out of one bushing). I shouldnt have been able to put one pump in. The second issue was the rear gear case was low on oil; I put about 2 ounces in to top it off. Engine oil level was good. I havent checked the front case as I didnt have the tool with me to pull the plug. Ive attached pictures of the zerks (after I greased them) so youll know where to find them. As you can see in the rear case fill plug photo the oil level is low, oil should be visible at the bottom of the hole. I paid ~$300 to have the vehicle serviced and didnt get my moneys worth. Two stars for servicing.

Well I don’t normally make posts like this but I have reached my limit with these people. If you are looking to purchase Honda or Yamaha products DO NOT go to Maxim Honda Yamaha in Allen. Their service department is the most incompetent I have ever dealt with in my life. To make a long story short, I had two talons in for service because low gear was grinding (one had already had the sub trans rebuilt by them once). Essentially they told me nothing was wrong and refused to help in any way. I had to go buy and service manual and figuring out what was going on myself, while one was still under warranty and one had less than 100 miles on a rebuilt sub trans. Come to find out all they needed was a clutch calibration and a shift cable adjustment. They basically refused to even do that, and I’m pretty convinced they didn’t even know about those procedures in the first place. Long story short don’t do business with this dealer if you want good service.

UPDATE 8/10/2021 1000 miles+ CarPlay problem resolved. No reply when asked for help from Honda. “Honda takes care of their Gold Wing owners.” To-date, Not my experience. The answer came from other Gold Wing riders on forums and YouTube. The Wing is a great ride. No follow-up from Honda or service. UPDATE 7/19/2021 Still waiting an answer. However, Gold Wing 1800 forum has been very helpful. UPDATE 7/9/2021 500 miles. Now working with service department on issue. Learning Honda is very slow with answers and, my past dealer would be kind enough to text even when no info, Honda is silent. When I walked in to Maxim Honda, I was looking for a GW1800. Coming from a Triumph Rocket III, I knew I didn’t want top bags just comfort and power (my wife is a dream, she wanted it fast enough to get out of the way …)! The salesman simply said, “You want a test ride?” So after that, SOLD was put on the bike. Both salesman were no pressure and chilled. Being not so young and much experience with finance officers, I hate this part! However, if you go to Maxim you meet Brook. She was great, put up with my “no hurry” attitude and we closed the deal. This review was most definitely unsolicited by the dealer. What can I say about these guys? It was certainly a 5-star transaction. Zero pressure and they bent over backwards to make it a smooth Honda purchase. Everyone that I worked with was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Salesguy Cody was excellent and Id buy from him again in a minute. Avoid the other DFW-area dealers and just head to Maxim.

This place is nothing short of Guy Eye Candy! The store is beautifully designed and contains everything you need to start riding or up your game. Its been hard for ATV and Motorcycle dealers to get new stock in due to COVID-19 but MHY is relatively well stocked. Saturdays are busy and youll have to wait as no amount of staff is sufficient for high volume days. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable.Masks are mandatory.

Very disappointed. Ive got a 1999 Yamaha Vstar that I have been taking to Maxim for years. Took it in the Spring of this year for some repair work. Did not have a chance to ride much this summer, and noticed that it wasnt starting easily. Eventually, it just would not turn over. I decided to get it running again so I could sell it and buy a new bike. I took an afternoon off, borrowed a vehicle, rented a trailer, and took it in to find out what the problem was. Only then was I told that a week previously, the boss had decided that they no longer will work on bikes over 15 years old.I cant say that I blame them, but a little heads-up would have been nice. An email or a call, or even a sign on the door with a future warning would have helped. Ive been going to them for years, and the only thing they would do for me was give me the name of another repair shop in West Frisco.Now I have a bike that wont start and fewer options for a replacement. Thanks Maxim....for nothing.

I found a motorcycle that I had been searching for for well over a year with most of the accessories I was wanting. Contacted Buzz and Steve to work the deal all by phone. Drove 3.5hrs one way to see the bike and complete the deal. Spoke with a service tech who had alot of knowledge on the bike. And was assisted with the loading and securing of the bike for the long drive home.Overall it was a good experience and would recommend Maxim

I went in there and found Buzz the salesman twiddling his thumbs. I slammed a stack of cash down on the table and said “give me that one over there and step on it!” Buzz said “what are doing Jake? Barry was such a please meeting you! I was looking for a helmet and he didnt want to sell me one. Sounds crazy right?! He wanted me to find a cap that fit and I felt comfortable wearing...that was his priority. We swapped a few stories as I tried on numerous helmets. Barry pointed out the pluses and more plusses of each one. 25 min later I had one that fit and felt comfortable on my big head. Sold me a brand new bike, went back about the loose chain and some panels for it. They didn’t order the panels which is fine, but the loose chain they basically said yeah they’re garbage chains, you need to upgrade. Would have been nice to know. Good luck getting anyone to actually take care of you professionally, parts guy sits around and complained about customers walking in the door. Service dept likes to stare at their computers without acknowledging you exist till it’s convenient for them and they are good and ready. Was looking forward to getting any more information on 2 other bikes I had my eye on but will happily make the drive elsewhere for better service. James took care of me professionally and was very nice to work with and talk to.

I love the fact that I am on a first-name basis with half the staff. I spend a lot of time at the parts counter and my favorite is Barry.Over the last few years Barry and I have built a relationship and in my book that is the best customer service you can receive! He is always there to help me get the best quality product for the price.I wish all my retail experiences were like the ones I receive at Maxim!Here is a good example. Barry will look up specs for me like fluid levels on front forks and air fuel screw adjustments when rebuilding carburetors.I own a Suzuki as well and I enjoy working on my own bikes so when I went to Plano Suzuki Kawasaki they would not give me any information unless I brought my motorcycle in and paid them to do the service for me.I will actually go to Maxim Honda Yamaha to buy aftermarket parts before I go to Plano Suzuki.Thank you Barry for all you do.

Very unsatisfied. Had an aftermarket kickstand placed on the bike (a brand new 2020 VMAX- not a cheap bike 18k). Very difficult to lower the kickstand (a safety issue), even individual who delivered the bike had an issue with it. I was simply told that is how it is. I was told my pipes off the bike would be returned when the bike was delivered and it was not. I paid for the pipes and kickstand, and later was told I owed an additional 350 dollars for labor, and that my pipes would be returned at my expense for shipping. I have asked for documentation showing how I owe additional money and have asked for a call from the manager. I spoke with Cody, the salesperson, and Austin in service, and I never received a call from the manager to rectify the problem. The pipes also backfire and I presume that will be my responsibility to get that fixed too. Will never do business with them again!

Heard great things about this dealership. I went in trying to decide between a Rebel and a Shadow. The salesman was great and I was getting ready for a test ride. I got all my gear one before one of the sales managers came up to us to stop me from riding. He told me they dont allow test drivers unless you are committed to purchasing from them.I was treated so poorly by the sales manager, I just left.

LOOK ELSEWHERE!! I visited their website and found what we were looking for. On their website it ask my employer and offered me a 5% discount for mine. At that point I contacted the dealership and told them what I wanted and about the discount. I paid a deposit on the bike so they would hold it until we could drive in. We live 4 hours away. That weekend we drove in and stayed the night so we could be there at open the next day only to be told they would not honor the price I was given on THEIR website. I did buy one that day from another dealership who gave me a better price than they quoted to start with. They missed out bigtime because I also bought $1000 in gear.

NO, NO, and NO. We were looking to buy a YZ 85 for our 12 year old. They lured us in with a posted online price, took a deposit for the bike, then refused to honor the price once we drove in from out of state. Cold hearted. Didnt tell us until after our kid saw and sat on the bike. We left and went to see Adam at Broadway Powersports in Tyler and got an even better deal than Maxims advertised price PLUS all the gear to go with it. Dont waste your time with this place.

I called about a 2021 WR450F, we came to an agreeable OTD price over the phone, and picked up the motorcycle the next day. Everything was ready at the agreed upon time and whole transaction took maybe 15-20 minutes.For reference I bought my son a 2020 CRF250F from Maxim for Christmas 2020 and it was exactly the same. Gave us a really good price and went extremely smoothly except for that one I was deployed overseas and we did everything over the phone. When my wife and father went to pick it up for him everything was already completed, hard to say much more about them. When it is time to move up to the next motorcycle for my son and daughter we will be going back again.

Terrible place, I bought my atv here one year ago, it broke twice, the first time they took about three weeks and said it is normal what it is doing, the second time I brought it in the 3rd of November because it doesnt start and still there, they never answer the phone so you have to go personally to ask whats going on, last time I went was three weeks ago and still waiting for a phone call

I can’t say enough good things about Maxim Honda Yamaha. This was my first bike and I was buying it on my own, but Cody and Josh were absolutely amazing and treated this newbie very well and I couldn’t be more grateful. Josh gifted me my road bell and put it on the bike for me, and Cody was very patient with me and made sure I got home safely after riding my bike home from the dealership. Walked into the dealer looking to get prices on a new mt-09. Not going to lie felt a little off put by the team but honestly been to a lot of dealers like that. Once we started talking everything was great. Wasn’t planning on purchasing a bike but everything fell into place the right way and got exactly what I wanted for a price I wanted. They stored the bike for me till I could pick it up 4 days later. Overall very easy experience and pretty seamless process. Would give 5 starts but I going to wait till I have service done.

Bought my sons ttr 110 from there around Christmas and the experience was great called about purchasing a Kayo 70cc four wheeler for my daughter and they said they didn’t have any currently and that the salesman was gonna ask the sales manager if and when they were gonna get more but never heard back so I called again and asked to talk directly to sale manager but was not available so left another message. I even went on their website and left an inquiry about the Kayo 70 and still no one has contacted me. Unfortunately I had to contact progressive power sports in Arlington and they were much more helpful. Just thought this second time around was very unprofessional.

Great group of fun guys and gals. I’ve been shopping with this crew for 15 plus years and they have never let me down. It’s the only place I’ll go for new bikes, parts and service. I’ve shopped elsewhere in a pinch and i always regretted it.

Went there to just look with a buddy of mine. I had already got approved for a bike at another dealer but decided to see what they could do for me. Jim was very helpful and attentive. Bought 2 bikes from these guys this week and they were awesome. Cody was our sales person and he was really phenomenal. He didnt pressure us at all and worked so hard to find me the perfect bike and make sure I was comfortable. They gave us a very fair deal and had all the paperwork was ready when we got there. Process couldnt have been more streamlined or easier. We will use them for all our future bike purchases and parts needs. These guys are great!
