First time there. Wow! They have an incredible array of coins, stamps, quality collectible merchandise. Everyone there was helpful and friendly. Buddy the owner took care of us personally. He was very kind and willing to go the extra mile to research the coins we had brought for sale. His prices are fair and very reasonable. We will very happy with our transactions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is a beginner, novice, or expert at coin collecting. You will not be disappointed.

Had a small collection of old coins that I held on to for many years. After doing a lot of research on line about coin values, I separated all my coins by denomination and finally decided was time to cash them in. Did more research on line about different places that I could take my coins in for appraisal and potential selling. The one place that had consistently good reviews was Keystone. Decided this was the place for me and gave it a shot. Not the most glamorous of places, but I felt comfortable and confident as soon as I started reviewing what I had with the owner. He had a good bedside manner and the prices he offered me for my coins seemed fair based on what I had read previously on line. I walked out happy and confident with my choice of dealers and would highly recommend Keystone without reservation. All around, it was a pleasant experience and wish I had done it sooner.

I have bought sliver bars there ever year for the kids. Sure the place is not a 5 star restaurant. I bet my next silver dollar they know where every coin. bill. And every gold and silver bar is in this establishment. Great guys. Right on spot price . Everybody needs to make something. Or else no shop would be in business. Common sense. People complaining. Lucky I am not behind the counter. I would mark up the coins just as much as the other stores. Great place here to do real business

The owner is very knowledgeable when it comes to coins its what he does he is friendy and understanding what everyone needs to keep in mind is thats its a bessness and a tough bessness you cant expect to get full value on your coines because then the owner would not make any money if you want full value for your coines you will need to sell them your self but I can say he will pay you very close to what there worth the owner is fear and will take care of you right away he got me in and got me right out with cash in hand no run around he is good bessness I would definitely think about using him for all your coin needs

Keystone Coin paid more for some coins and bought others that another dealer didnt want. The other dealer didnt want my wheat pennies, silver dollars, roll of uncirculated presidential dollars and a gold cap from a tooth. Keystone bought the wheat pennies for 2 cents, the dollars for $1.10, and the uncirculated Lincoln presidential dollars for, I dont remember how much but the other dealer said they were only worth face value. He also bought the gold cap for $27 when the other dealer said it wasnt even gold. This is the place to go to get a good price. But you do have to be able to tolerate dirt and clutter, lots of dirt and clutter.

Wanted to sell my coin collection. I had done extensive research on the value of each piece of the collection. Called Keystone Rare Coins and set up an appointment to have the collection evaluated. Went in the next day. The transaction went very smoothly. Knowledgeable, polite, and professional! No pressure. No hassle. I received a very fair payment for the collection. Tips for selling coin collections: Be organized! Have the coins and currency separated, organized, and labeled. Be realistic about the value of your coins. Research the value of your rare coins before you sell. You may be surprised to learn that not every old coin is worth more than its face value.

This is the first time we visited there today. We had a large collection of coins to sell, but were sentimental about. Buddy & Wendy greeted us with kindness and professionalism as we entered the establishment. As Buddy looked over our collections, he made us feel secure about his appraisals of our coins. He was very knowledgeable, and gave us a very great deal over all. We thanked them very much for all their help & honesty. Keystone Rare Coins came highly recommended, & we recommend if you have any questions or concerns about your coin collection to definitely go see them. Theyre very trustworthy!

As the administrator of an estate, I needed to have a small collection of mostly U.S. coins appraised. The attorney for the estate recommended Buddy Kellar at Keystone Coin as a long-standing professional who would use his expert judgment to arrive at a fair value for the coins. That proved to be true.Mr. Kellar appraised the collection without charge. After checking some of the values online, I decided to sell the coins to Keystone; and Mr. Kellar paid a fair price, subject to a reasonable dealers commission. When I had some additional coins to sell, I went back to Keystone to do the deal. So, I join the estate attorney in recommending Mr. Kellar and Keystone. I was very pleased with the service.

Twice I’ve been there to sell and Both time I called ahead . I was quoted a higher price for my silver from the buyer there. I got there and he said he made a mistake . The price he would buy from me was 50% lower then he quoted. The second time I went there I also call 1st. I asked for a quote once again. He quoted me a great price . I even asked 2 times knowing what he was doing. I called back and once again he quoted me the higher price. I said are you sure this is the price per ounce you will pay. They said yes. I got there with my coins and once again he said there was a mistake that he thought it was for two coins. He wouldn’t give me the price quoted over the phone and told me I could go somewhere else and he would match there price. Point is they do this to get you in . They still paid a fair price for my silver but is bad business ethics. I will still go there cause they do pay a fair price I just don’t like the way they get you in there .

The experience with the Keystone was easy from start to finish. We just stopped in without an appointment and the proprietor was cordial and most accommodating. Went to keystone. To start off, raggedy looking establishment. Nothing looks organized everything is old and dirty looking and the staff there match. The customer service is terrible. Some of the women there always have an attitude, and have spoken to me rudely. The owner is unorganized, tends to be unresponsive when called, and shady with business dealings to say the least. He tried to swindle me out of my money and got defensive because I knew better. Id go to a trap house before going to them. If I can offer them a suggestion get a new owner, preferably one who doesnt try to scam you out of your hard earned cash, clean up and practice being nice to people and maybe youll be able to elevate that sorry excuse for a business into something respectable. :)

Owner was very accommodating, helpful and honest when looking at coins my parents had collected. He patiently looked through them all and found only a few were worth a little bit of money. Not even worth his time, in my opinion, and I apologized over and over yet the owner was very polite, helpful and kept telling me it was all fine and he was happy to help and do anything he could to help me out. We had some old coins, the value of which we had no idea. We simply walked in the door at Keystone Rare Coins and were very politely greeted and then directed to sit down at a desk. In short order a very kind gentleman took a close look at our coins and asked whether we were looking for an appraisal or to sell. We replied that initially we just wanted an idea of the values. He kindly offered his opinion of value and invited us to come back if we wished to sell or if we had any further questions. We could not have been more pleased with the service.

I found them online when I was looking for a company to liquidate my fathers coin collection after he passed away. I was truly clueless in how to process everything my father had, knowing that he was an avid collector, not all of which was worth anything. Buddy, the owner, met me at my fathers house, helped me to sort through what he had. We brought the items back to his shop and he and his staff, who were very sweet, went through all the items. I believe they treated me very fairly and helped me make sense of the chaos. They took a very difficult time and made it just a little bit easier for me. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is left with the difficult task of dealing with a loved ones estate.

Man these guys are kind of mean. I came in looking to buy either some silver dollars or half dollars, basically for one purpose. Im thinking of taking a magic course this year, and wanted four decent sized coins to play about with, to learn some slight of hand moves with something more substantial than a quarter. I wanted not great coins, just something I wouldnt care if I wore down, scratched up, etc.. I explained this pretty clearly, and was looking for some scrap silver, basically.I didnt tell them that my wife and I actually do have a small but decent collection of good Sliver coins, and Ive bought coins before. Maybe I should have.Well let me tell you, they treated me like I was a bumpkin. First they tried to up sell me silver proof dollars, which was not really my goal at all, totally not my needs. When I said no to that, they offered me Kennedy half dollars, at about 25% over spot price, by total weight, when I know darn well they are only 40% silver. So they wanted $7.00 per coin on a coin whose melt value is about $2.10. I could take a markup, but that was ridiculous. Their attitude was also awful, they basically made it clear I was wasting their time just even being there. I mentioned the percentage of silver, and that I both looked up the spot value before coming out, and expected a a mark up, but the attitude was the price is the price, and they also made it very clear that they sold LOTS of bags of these and that my trying to buy just four coins was a real pain in the arse, and why was I wasting their time? With the implied, if you are buying only a couple coins how dare you negotiate or criticize our prices?Almost I even agreed to buy the coins, It isnt a lot of money, and traffic has sucked recently. It would have been worth spending the extra ten bucks for my purpose just because I had already driven out. But they dont even take credit cards? I didnt take any cash, and I wasnt about to write them a check, with their attitude. Im kind of glad I they dont take credit cards, after thinking about it, very glad I didnt spend any money there. Let me be clear, for the first time I ever walked in, and a small transaction? I am not obsessed over the price. The entire attitude was sour.Well, poor customer service, sketchy vibe too. Too bad for them, we have considered looking for a place to sell our nice small set of Morgan and Liberty dollars all in good condition. Or also, alternatively to add to it, and fill some holes (which Id prefer) depending on how the finances go this year. I think it is going to be the later. So I was kind of auditioning them with a small transaction. I hoped to find a nice reputable dealer. Lets say they did not meet my expectation of someone Id do future business with.Id stay away. They made it clear they dont want my business, so they arent going to get it.
