Clean, quiet, no frills. Pricey, but all giant eagles are. Big fan of their pharmacy: quick, always have all the random prescriptions I need, friendly staff. All in all, no complaints.

Best selection but they have the highest prices.

Good place to find unique food items unavailable anywhere else nearby.Besides that, overall, I find the staff generally rude & unhelpful; ESPECIALLY in the State Liquor Store!!The mask shaming there is sad. The greeters are charged with asking if people want masks & the aloof treatment of non-maskers by staff is shameful & obvious.

Very enjoyable experience as a whole. Great selection, in a well layed out store. The house plants were of a variety that were not found at the big box stores which was refreshing. The one negative for me was that the handicap parking was by the entrance doors. But upon leaving with your purchases, we were told that we had to exit via a different set of doors than where we came in, putting us quite a distance away from where we parked in the handicap. This was a little off putting when most likely you have a burden of purchase now to carry a longer distance to where you parked while struggling with whatever handicap you have.

Love this store! Great selection, store is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Really enjoy their broccoli salad and meatloaf. They have lots of electric scooters for customers to use and plenty of good parking spots.

Was able to find what I needed but upset because a person had a dog in there and No it was NOT a service dog at all. There no special vest saying it was or no special collar saying it was. This should not be aloud if its Not a service dog which it is Not.

Update: if you plan on buying produce here know what to look for. Im on the fence. I have not been a giant eagle shopper for long. I remember my mom cutting up her membership card in the aisle over a disagreement and vowing to never shop there again. Now that Im an adult I stop there from time to time, but not much. Im so used to never going there. Ive never had anything about giant eagle stick out to give it anything special to stand out from the competition.

This is what Giant Eagle did for me and for $36 and the manager argue with me nothing was wrong with it what did you ask for thats not what I asked for is what I kept having to say and he was convinced that he will pay for it but they did give you half off Im not paying $10 for that cake you pay for it but thanks for ruining my daughters birthday and my daughter used to work for the store but to each his own I hope they have fun with that cake because I will not be taking it

As it was expected, Giant Eagle was exceptionally busy because of Memorial Weekend. The one problem that plagues the store is the employees shopping for others to be picked up. They constantly leave their large carts in one area and go to different parts of an aisle to retrieve other items. For example, I was in the produce department and I wanted lettuce. An employee got lettuce, left his cart there and walked all through of the produce department gathering items. Since I use a mobility scooter, I cant easily move his large cart. When will Giant Eagle move the payment reader back to the register? Their current location is extremely annoying! I like to watch what is being rung up then I have to back up my scooter to pay. Again, inconvenient.

Courteous helpful and friendly employees. Very good store to shop at.

Their payment processing system is a mess. You can only use pin to check out. You cannot sign for purchase. Also have to be a rewards member. Just a nightmare every time I try to check out there.

A zero star is not offered. Never will i return to that store. I was verbally attacked by a employee over my mask not covering my nose completely. I have health issues that stop from wearing the mask. But in compliance to shop i have to wear it. Take my business elsewhere..

Just wanted to update.... called the store today to complain, both the store manager Kim and bakery manager Jill were amazing in resolving the issue. 5 stars to both of them!Ordered a birthday cake for my mother today, telling the clerk that I wouldnt be able to get there until after 10pm, to which the clerk responded that I would just need to tell them that I had a cake ready in the bakery when I arrived. Arrived at the store after getting off work at 10:05 and tried to get in...to no avail. Called the store and was told that they closed AT 10!! Should have been told that when I ordered the cake! And their website clearly says they close at 11. Not happy at all

Its a store. I went in, bought what I needed, left and am now giving a message about it. In all reality, Walmart has the same items for a better price under the same name brands and a different generic brand name. Overall I was satisfied because I was chasing scratch offs. I spent $48 and walked out with $31. Thats better than losing the whole $48.

Felt like I was walking back through time in the 80s in this Giant Eagle. The freezer section was small with small freezer units. The whole store needs an update. Has a small liquor department too!

It has anything a super store should, convenient and well laid out, butcher shop, bakery and liquor store. Seems to be the only place in Alliance that sells liquor. Selection is small.

Store is okay, except for their checkout. Their pharmacy? I wont even go there. 2 ⭐ at best.

Has a good variety of food! I dont like that they make you wear a mask even if you have a medical excuse...so I dont shop there much anymore.

Its Giant eagle what can I say franchise some days are friendly some days are not its like if the worker dont want to be there attitude and they want to be there that day friendly helpful thats why its important to shop local or lose respect and hospitality

Good service here.On a really busy day I forgot to take my gift cards I purchased. The next day I went in I asked about them and was able to get them. As I left the cashier made a point of double checking to see if I was able to retrieve them. Above and beyond expected job duties.Just one experience of helpfulness, theyre awesome here:) Thanks!

Bought 8 dozen cupcakes for my wedding. They were poorly piped. They looked rushed but I had no choice but to use them due to the fact that I was out of time to order anything else. Very disappointed. I had to spend extra time on my wedding day trying to make them look better. Train your bakery staff better.

Just moved to Alliance 2 weeks ago from Boardman. Went shopping for the first time at this giant eagle and have NEVER in my life been so rudely welcomed and judged. As soon as I walked through the door a few of the employees glared at me and said, ‘what is this trick or treat?’ I then had employees follow me through the store watching my every move-what I put in the cart. I was asked 5 times within 20 minutes if I was finding everything okay. Tried to use self check out and was told I wasn’t allowed and to go to register 3. I assumed they were closed-but customers behind me went right through. Just because I have pink hair doesn’t mean I’m a thief. Sorry you’re close minded and aren’t creative, Karen. This pink haired princess will gladly take her business elsewhere ✌🏻

Everyone is always friendly at our Washington Square store. I absolutely love the bakery! They once fixed my sisters cake decor topping after it slid off my car seat (she ordered from another bakery) and didnt know what else to do. They saved it! I really love this store and absolutely adore all the staff. Thank you for being there! You are important to our community ❤️.

GE always has good selection of food to choose from, you can Always find something new to try. The fruit is always fresh and good...unlike other places you get it home And find its rotten and or moldy. They didnt have very many clerk operated registers open..I had a lot and didnt wanna mess with self checkout so had to wait awhile but the cashier was very friendly and helpful which made the long wait less drilling. Wish I wouldve noticed her name to give but as usual Im not very observant of name badges.

Wonderful store

Giant Eagle is always great for me whenever I go to one. You cant beat the great quality of their products with the more affordable everyday prices and sales. I used to only go to Giant Eagle when there were things I wanted on sale. Now its one of my few primary places to shop due to improved prices over recent years.

High price but I love giant eagle. Hey what is with Angus meat yuck. Always crowded has everything. Handicap parking and view. Please clean your bathrooms please.

Only one regular register open and it was a minimum 5 people deep so we used the self checkout and had nothing but problems. If youre going to force people to check themselves out please make sure the machines are working correctly

When I first started going shopping here the deli persons were rude. I made a complaint and it was taken care of. I love shopping at GE! The points for gas are amazing!

This store will no longer get my $500 a month from me till they rearrange the staff they have working for them. I know$500 isnt a drop in the bucket to them, but, your public interaction needs lots of work.

Theres a wonderful employee that works in the bakery that doesnt get the credit she deserves! I think shes the best employee in the bakery, and Im not saying that because shes my sister! Shes very helpful to her customers and follows all store rules. If you ever go to the bakery and Tiffany is working, she will give you the best customer service possible, but dont get upset when she follows all policies. If she cant do something because its against store policies, she wont. But shes a very sweet and helpful person and if there is any problems she will do all that she can to either fix it completely or try to make up for any issues. Shes also pretty knowledgeable about the bakery products and their freshness/quality! On another note... Prices can be high but they usually have some pretty good deals at times!

Fast and friendly service. I have never been displeased with this location, always a happy friendly atmosphere and all around great place to shop.

I had to travel to this Giant Eagle even though I live in Louisville because my Giant Eagle doesnt keep in stock what they are supposed to and when I brought it to there attention all they seemed to care about was reprimanding the person who told me why it wasnt in stock. They took my phone number and told me they would call when it came in and they never did. So I would say this Giant Eagle is the best in our area because they keep things in stock and they were very friendly unlike the Louisville Giant Eagle.

Good friendly place

My toddler and I were grocery shopping when a tornado warning caused the store to shut down temporarily. Management directed customers and staff to go to the back of the store to the meat freezer/refrigerator to stay safe (or leave at their own risk). I went to the back of the store for shelter and upon being ushered to the back, employee Matt Daniels proceeded to offer his fleece jacket to my child who was dressed for the 70° sunshine, not a refrigerator. I was highly impressed with the store’s awareness and efforts to keep everyone safe and the employees’ selflessness for their customers. Thank you, Matt!

You go here because you dont want to go to the big w up the street or you go out of familiarity. It smells, you go near the meat department, and it smells. The donut case is GROSS it doesnt look like it been cleaned in a while. There is sprinkles and icing all over the case. Makes you wonder what it looks like behind the counter. I would like to give a better rating but I think they need to step up their game with the cleaning.

Would really like GE to carry white popping corn...The kind u take home and pop in a pot.

I love the variety and selection, only two complaints.1. they dont do a good job anticipating the need for additional cashiers on busier shopping times ( or maybe they just have people calling off, staffing can sometimes be the issue there)2. Produce isnt consistently fresh or well looked over. At the higher price of Giant Eagle there should be a higher standard for fresh veggies. IMORegardless of those things Im a frequent shopper here. Plenty of other options on town for produce if I dont like what I find here

Horrible checkout. Why are the debit machines on the wrong end of the checkout lane? If someone is loading the belt you have to reach over them
