My husband and I purchased a dryer at this Home Depot. It was a GE Appliance. Upon receiving our brand new dryer, after the first time of usage, the dryer was not working properly. We used it a few more times and changed the settings just to make sure we were correct in our conclusions. My parents have the exact same dryer that I have used multiple times with no issues. So, I knew that it was a great dryer, we just received a defected one. We called Home Depot immediately and they instructed us to call GE. Needless to say, we were given the run around. Between the Home Depot Customer Service Reps and the GE reps, no one wanted to assist us. It was a headache. They blamed it on the apartment. They wouldnt issue us a refund. Long story short, we finally went into the Home Depot in Alpharetta and spoke with Brenda Sullivan. She provided us the upmost customer service immediately. She went out of her way to set up pick-up of the appliance. One of her co-workers, Eric Cooper, came out to pick up the appliance on a Sunday. Free of charge. Also, this is something they dont typically do. He came out, picked up the device, and we were issued a refund immediately. I would have given the company 5 stars. The only reason I did not is because of the online representatives we spoke with. Thank you so much Brenda and Cooper because we almost lost faith in Home Depot!

I normally write reviews when Ive had poor experiences, but Im trying hard to start sharing good ones too. I received excellent customer service from Jason in the floor/tile department while choosing grout. He offered a color sample card and helped put the grout I selected in my cart without me even asking. I also had assistance from another employee to get a light fixture off the shelf and the self-checkout attendant was helpful. All around great experience!

Great store for all your home construction and repair needs. They also have household cleaning products. Whether it’s grass cutting, building something or new appliances they have it. There is always someone around to help and point you to the place or item you need. They also have flooring, bathrooms lights or just lights for any place you need in your home or outside. They actually will cut your lumber or wood you purchase to the size you need. If you don’t have those tools. But you can always buy it here. They have just got in some beautiful flowers..

Horrible service on the phone, and more than an hour waiting. No one called me back after phone suddenly disconnected. Also have been waiting almost a month to hear about my door install.

Went in for Spackle, didn’t know where it was. After walking around for awhile I finally found an associate who DIDN’T know what spackle was; how is that possible in Home Depot he didn’t know? I told him the purpose of what it’s for and he told me isle 24-25….WRONG. Eventually I finally called from inside the store only to be told isle 4….Wrong again. Finally I found a competent associate who knew what it was AND walked me over to where it was.Please work on improving associate knowledge and customer service.

I was able to find able to find the item that I need it with no problem. There was also plenty of help to direct me with what I needed.

Simply a dreadful store. Rude employees, incompetent managers, poor selection, high prices. Is it any wonder online suppliers are winning the retail wars? Brick and mortar stores have one advantage: customer service. Sacrifice that, and what’s the point of them?This begs the question: why does the Alpharetta Home Depot insist on hiring people who behave as though they genuinely dislike the shopping public? It’s astounding. And sad, as this was once a pleasant store to patronize. No longer.My advice is to visit Lowe’s. They actually seem to value customers, and God knows their selection is better.

Mulch pick up is a nightmare! Very poorly organized and extremely slow. Easily waited an hour to pick up 4 bags of mulch. Only one lane so you are stuck in line waiting for large orders and there is no way out if you can’t wait that long. Who ever was responsible for this set up needs a different job. Staff was clueless and slow and did not want to be there. A lot of time was spent talking about how to do the job. There needs to be a different area for large loads (greater than 50 or 75 bags) I am going to Lowe’s next time. I have never seen such a lack of organization!

Needed to pick up 75 bags of mulch. Couldnt fit in vehicle. Rented a van from the HD for $20 for 75 minutes. Team loaded pallet worth of mulch to van, and as I was pulling out realized the brand I purchased only had 65 bags per pallet versus the Scotts brand. Stopped me and cut open 2nd pallet to get me the correct amount. Was able to get time adjusted, unload and return van in for the $20 van rental charge!

I like this particular place because one cashier was so kind/willing to help me out when I purchased a few plants over there. Relationship, even just a temporary one, always plays a lot in the daily life. The covid-19 thing almost destroyed our NORMAL life. But a kind greeting, a warm hand, a concerning look, those small/subtle things can immediately restore our life back into the true normal enjoyable state. The bad covid-19 thing at least gives me a chance to appreciate a lot before regarded normal small things. I still cant forgive those governments failed us from preventing the disaster happened so badly; however, I still trust the deep lovable humanity deep in our heart is the true power to build our bright future.

Love Home Deposit! I’m a customer for life. The only improvement would be if they stopped selling Coke...

If you want to see how older employees pass the customer off and get out of their responsibilities, come to the “Pro Desk”. You will see people like Mike G, Butch, Rich, Lanekka and few others who just like to stand around, order people around. Same as the Service Desk. Simply a dreadful place where they DON’T put the customer first. A few employees who are actually trying to help the customers like James & Dodi, other lazy, incompetent employees kept putting more and more work in their plate. Management is just as incompetent, lazy, and never around when you need them, hiding in their office avoiding customers at all cost. Who hires them?

Awesome job from employee Charles. There were ZERO 18 FOOT GORILLA LADDERS remaining in the ladder slots. He went on his handheld device which stated there were 10 in stock. He stated give him 10 minutes due him needed assistance with a forklift. Ten minutes later Charles is a employee of his word 10 ladders on a pallet. I just needed one & I thanked him for his efforts..

Wow! I came into home depot to work on a few projects and someone right at the door gave me the aisle numbers on where to start and even scheduled an appointment for my thermostat installation! The service associates are so patient, understanding, and personal! Oumar was so kind and tri(?) linguil!

Home Depot has changed their return policy. Have a DeWalt tool that broke and has a lifetime warranty. The tool is on recall. Home Depot doesnt sell it anymore. They wont give an in-store credit any longer, so Im told I just have to keep the broken tool.

Inventory of pressure washer parts did not match what was online for this stores location and my basket had one bad wheel that caused a hop whenever pushed but other than that it was ok.

I usually only review restaurants or more non-big box stores, but I have to write a review for this Home Depot location because for home improvement/DIY, employees make a huge difference. These folks in the various departments know what theyre talking about.If you know exactly what you want and have done a price comparison, then go wherever you like or buy online, but if you have a question or need to interact with a human (cutting wire, rekey lock, etc) go here. Dont go to the Lowes down the road - I dont think they have evidence in their depts

The majority of the employees were not wearing a mask correctly (only had their mouth covered but not their nose), and there were a few who weren’t even wearing masks. Home Depot, please educate your employees on how to wear masks correctly and make sure your employees are wearing them all the time to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. I do not feel comfortable visiting your store.

Mike Garstecki at the Pro desk if awesome!!! Talk about putting customers first, really showed that he cares about the customer. My father and I were doing a deck project together and when Mike found out, he spent the time we needed to ensure we got the right product and the best price. He even got everything staged for us to pick up the next morning with ease to drive up and get out quick. 10 out of 10 he is a shining example of customer service.

This place was slammed the day I had to go and I waited in line longer than usual. The cashier was definitely stressed but was still very friendly and personable! I have worked retail before but never while having to wear a mask! I couldn’t imagine working a shift as long as theirs breathing all in my eyes!!!

The woman that assisted us in buying our appliances was terriffic!!She was competent, helpful, and cared that we were satisfied with our purchase down to even when it would be delivered.She was pleasant and a true representative of what customer care is all about.

This is a very organized store with helpful people. It is generally well stocked and has sufficient variety for all itemsThe only gripe we have is inability to purchase flooring wood samples by a panel. It is difficult to make a decision on the small free sample. I would recommend they change this.

Every time I go to Lowes down the street it provides a reminder how much better this Home Depot is. Most of the HD employees are much friendlier, better trained than Lowes. Lowes also seems to be understaffed compared to HD, which leads to longer return and checkout lines.

I give the Home Depot 3 stars because I did find the appliances I wanted and they were delivered on the appropriate day. Unfortunately, the gentleman taking my order didnt know the fridge, washer and dryer models very well. Also, he wasnt wearing a mask but insisted on me standing next to him for me to double check the order. When I received the washer and dryer, the delivery man told me he couldnt switch the doors of the washer or dryer because it was a new GE model. Otherwise, he did a great job. One of the reasons why I bought those washers and dryers is because I could switch the doors and the Home Depot had this option selected to be performed on the order. When I called Home Depot during delivery trying to figure out what to do, I was told to leave a message and Teresa would call me back. Its the next day, and Teresa has still not called me back. So, find/know the product you want and dont expect any customer service, and Home Depot is ok. If any issue arises, you are on your own!

Walked around for a half hour looking for someone to answer a question. It was bizarre, it was like they were purposefully trying to avoid doing their jobs.

I like ordering online and going to the pick it up without walking a 1/2 mile inside the store.

Sometimes the staff helps by offering and sometimes they are too busy and even if we ask they might not be able to do. But they are good. Competitive prices and large varieties of items available. I like that store and if I build a house i will do all shopping here. From a small nail to any big size appliance is available, all we need is patience and energy to take a walk and select what we want.
