This store used to be amazing. There was a large staff of friendly people who were always willing to help you find what you were looking for or get what you needed. Ever since Travis left, it started going down hill. Now, the store is totally empty, the staff is rude and low-ball everyone; and their guns are overpriced.

Several handguns I saw were absolutely filthy. Dont ever buy a used Gun that hasnt been taken care of. Not only are they too lazy to clean them they dont even acknowledge you when you walk in.

I called before I drop up there to find out the price per gram for the sterling silver from Jared I have (925) for a pink sapphire ring and matching pendant, when I called the man I spoke with was very nice and told me they pay .31-.41 cent per gram and they pay more for designer and when I told him it was from Jared he said yep, just bring it on in and well be happy to take to look. So I drove up there and the woman that was helping was rude and could careless about her customer service. She told me she could only give $2.00, this would not have been a problem if she wouldnt have been as rude as she was to me.

I always expect the worst when going to any pawn shop for the first time. Pawn shop owners/staff are typically rude and prices are typically sky high. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this pawn shop is not like most of the others. Good selection of clean items including guns, currency, video games, music equipment, etc. The staff was friendly and the prices were very fair. I ended up buying a gun and a video game and the prices were very competitive on both. I will definitely go back again in the future.

Ive been to this shop many times just looking for anything interesting. Today will be the last time. One of the staff got onto my son for touching the strings on a guitar because he could mess the strings up. Ive also noticed that almost everything is over priced, WELL USED, and the staff lacks any common knowledge about the products. On one occasion a lady handed me a rifle without clearing the chamber and couldnt keep it pointed in a safe direction while holding it!

Having been asked to liquidate some items for a family member, I was totally at a loss as to where to even start. In this day of fly-by-night businesses, and dodgy characters looking to make a buck based one ones obvious inexperience, I was absolutely blown away by Joesphs candor, and the time he took to review and appraise other items that were not for sale. He spent a fair amount of time with me... he patiently answered all of my questions, and gave me more than a fair price on the items I sold. I would encourage ANYone to do business with Cherokee - what a good experience!

I went in shopping for a used Playstation and the associate was not very helpful. Not friendly at all. Literally all he did was say hello when i walked in. I wont be returning.

Let me tell you about these moronic fools who work here. Not only are they incompetent, they are cheats as well. I have a friend who brought several timepieces in, just to get an idea of what this particular shop would be willing to pay. He walks in with a Rolex datejust and the assistant manager tells him the watch isnt on the up and up, insinuating that its a fake. Now, my friend has the box and more importantly, the paperwork with a serial number on it that matches the serial number engraved in between the lugs on the watch. In other words, it is most definitely real. The managers attitude is indifferent. My friend then proceeds to show him a Tudor Oyster Prince day date which is a watch made by Rolex. Its a secondary company owned by Rolex and their products are manufactured in the same facility. The value is somewhere around 1500 dollars approximately. The Rolex two tone band alone would sell for about 500 dollars. The asst manager offers him 100 dollars for it. An insultingly low offer. Finally my friend brings forth an 18kt gold Tourneau Valijoux to which he is offered 20 dollars. What kind of nerve does one have to suggest such ridiculously low offers? This manager was either very stupid or very lackadaisical in his decisions. Either way, he is unfit for his position. My point for all this is to tell you these people are very stupid, so I would avoid this place at all costs. Then again- they are so very inept that you may hit the jackpot and walk out with 3000 dollars for your Timex.....

So disappointed in this place since they changed to cash America. Was coming here for years for pawn loans, loved the rates, loved the service. Came in once after the change, was told the only thing that changed was the name, everything else was business as usual. So even though I blame myself for trusting them. And not looming at the contract before I signed it, I was shocked beyond belief when I finally did look, before I came in to pay off my loan, when I saw that their interest went from 12.5% when it was cherokee, to 25% as cash America. So having to pay double what I was expecting, I wasnt able to pay it off right away, and had to keep it there for another month, costing even more money. Needless to say, I WONT BE BACK, nor will I ever go to another cash America

Wanted to cancel layaway and an able to do to not getting the extra added protection plan which was more this is a bunch of garbage that you would have to add more onto to cancel a layaway when you can go to another store and get something for a better price at the purchasing something of better quality for a lower price would not recommend

I brought my GFs 20in necklace (which contained 14k gold) with a pendant (MORE 14k gold, diamonds, shaped into a heart, with an emerald centering it)Note that Ive taken this SAME necklace to multiple locations on the south side, where they obviously test the metals before PAWNING, not even selling. Even if its stolen, Im sure any woman would report this distinct necklace and Id be quickly apprehended due to me having to leave my license info + fingerprint.I walk inside (no customers, weak inventory and I can see why)Asked the heavy set fellow with tattooed sleeves if I could pawn it. I planned on letting him ask how much were you looking to get first because based on the other locations I know how much to say without being able to look at how he would price it.But no. He takes the necklaces and literally looks at it for 2 seconds before saying .....sowwwy we cant take fake jewelryHE LOOKED AT IT AND DIDNT EVEN TEST IT. ASSUMING THIS GOLD, DIAMOND, ANDDD EMERALD WERE FAKE. (Or stolen, idk but whatever)Luckily I found SILVER DOLLAR INC about a mile down the road from them and they were wonderful. I highly recommend them because they give you a deal on your loan if you pick it back up within 7 days.
