This wonderful little gem is just too small! Great store, great people, great customer service, great foods... the only thing I wish was that they had a few more items in their product selection. Love this place!

Best place to go for beautiful fresh produce and specialty items in Alpine!Their Wine selection is extensive and reasonably priced.Definitely our Go To if we want to do something just a wee bit special!

05-16-2020 COVID19 update. I take advantage of the 65+ access 9am to 10am. Store shelves looking full and produce is always outstanding. They do have gloves at the entrance and very attentive to cleaning the carts and baskets with amble sanitizer stations through the store.If you like fresh food, produce, meals and more look at all that Barons offers. I am a frequent shopper and have tried a lot of the prepared food. All are excellent. And checkout service is a breeze as they don’t like customers to wait in line. Check out the new hot bar!

Amazing natural foods store with a good selection of vegan products. The environment is very inviting and the employees are helpful. I love getting the lentil soup from the hot bar and the bulk department has all the dry goods I need to stock my home. Their hot drip coffee is really good too and not a bad price at $1.69

What a gem of a market in Alpine!!! Highly recommended this grocery store for your eating and drinking needs.Great selection of items including ready to eat, fresh baked goods, meats/cheeses, frozen items, beverages including beer/wine/hard liquor and mixers plus more. Grabbed some of their fresh squeezed oj and it paired perfectly for mimosas. Fresh packed frozen pizzas were delicious and a wide variety of ice creams to pick from. High quality.

Love this store! Grab your road trip snacks here before you head east on the 8. Also, they have an awesome oil and balsamic vinegar selection!

Alpine Barons is as of 11/07/2020 using plastic bags that are banned in the state. Not only that they are charging 10 cents for them that 10cents goes to barons profit line.

A good quick stop after work, grab a sandwich and salad for dinner. The produce section is great and so is the beer selection. So much deliciousness.

I buy the roasted chicken and its a dollar cheaper than other places.

Impressive presentation and culture. Its a blessing to be able to eat non-polluted food, and BARONs has a good selection of it. I could tell you the price points are reasonable, from my bandstand of privilege, however, we will acknowledge here the social determinants of equitable access to health in this nation, and the barriers to clean, local food, extending miles in every direction from this store, for our Indigenous, unincorporated and Diasporic neighbors. I challenge BARONs to achieve greater visibility in supporting food justice within the community.

Not the best customer service. They do, however, have lots of nice, fresh fruit and veggies to choose from, a large salad bar, and lots of cool herb and vegetable plants.

I am in the foodservice business management and very particular about food quality, safety, proper handling and packaging. Barons costs a bit more, but they have beautiful fruit and vegetables. The grocery employees are friendly. It also carries a lot of gluten free and other specialty foods.

I love Barrons. I have been to both RB and Alpine locations are both are wonderful. They have fantastic produce and all products. My wife and I enjoy their salad bars as well as fresh sandwiches! They have very good prices for a health food store, and the employees are always wonderful!

I love their fresh food that is available for immediate consumption. A fabulous salad bar with LOTS of options, a hot food bar, a soup bar with probably 6 different fresh soups, and an olive bar. Plus beautifully prepared fresh salads and wraps. Their fresh veggies and fruit are wonderful and affordably priced

This store is a classic health food store. They have an extensive salad bar as well as a soup bar and bar with prepared pasta salad and more. The staff here are like friends, best store in Alpine!

This place is very similar to a sprouts. You must try the chocolate peanut butter covered malt balls. They are amazing!!

If youre looking for organic food and lots of designer Cheeses and real good vegetables as well as craft beers then this is the place to go. But they are more expensive than a conventional Market. You can buy vinegar and olive oil by the bottle and get a chance to taste it too and they also offer bulk foods. You can get a barbecue chicken for the five bucks everyday all day. Bob ring the manager is also a real nice guy

Love Barons. I am there at least once a week. Cheaper thann Sprouts for most things. Also love it that they call for backup when the checked and lines get long.

Convenient, but prices are high. They seem to stock a lotta things just long enough for you to like it, then drop it. Asking them to restock never works, theyre not real responsive. Some things we cant get other places, we get here.

Barons salad bar and olive bar are superb. The food is always fresh and the selection is on par with restaurant quality. You have to try the olive oil and vinigret tasting bar as well. Their selection of food is unique and top quality...a person could shop here everyday for a month or more and still find something new every visit. Dont forget to check out their beer, wine and drink section as well as the deli and produce...you wont be disappointed!

Great little store. I myself am partial to Sprouts. Barons is great if you can afford it. Not a lot of variety either. Store may not have the space to offer tons of options. Overall cute store, over priced.

My daughter worked here and although the produce is super fresh and they have an amazing salad bar, they are a wee bit more pricey than I am willing to pay. But this place is pretty amazing. They cater to everyone! Vegetarian, vegan, and everyone else alike!

This is the best definition of a local market. The employees are friendly and helpful, the store is spotless and the selection is great. Prices are better than the big chains, with better quality produce and groceries too.

Barons Market is a NICE looking place to go shopping. The first one I experienced was the one in Alpine and then I visited and shopped here and there at the Murrieta, Wildomar, and Temecula locations. I mention this because I know these guys: I love the layout of the store and the staff is usually SUPER friendly! However, their produce, when it looks great, goes bad super quick, many times their products were—and will be for you too—close to expire, expired, or not acceptable but still on the shelves; their beer selection is GREAT and a colorful thing to look at until you realize many beers are super old—but this happens everywhere too; their meat selection is lacking BIG time—dont expect your next grand BBQ to happen shopping here; and their signature brand is one you should just buy whenever you have NO other choice. With such a wonderfully designed supermarket it is a shame that we had to go through these issues time and time again! We just ended going to Sprouts in El Cajon for higher a quality, selection and pricing overall. Barons bread, on the other hand, is probably the BEST you will find at a store and we kept coming back for it!

Gray place for good food. It is a little pricey but I guess thats how it goes for good food. Premade food is hit n miss, some is great others stuck.

Great little local market. Wish they kept the artisan breads better stocked, can never get the unsliced multigrain anymore. Produce section has some local produce and the selection of beer and wine is pretty darn good. Prices are lower than you would expect from this genre of store. Now if they would just stock creme fraiche I wouldnt have to go to Trader Joes anymore.
