I have been coming here for 10 years and they always keep the place clean and treat customers very well. The reason for the 4 star is because recently I have been noticing a lot of things are out of stock.

Convenient location for detergents, etc went for one item. Has some basics and electronics for phones, clocks, tp, picnic items, cards, as not a major grocery .

Employees must respect manger Janet much much more! Employees must be shown how to talk to customers and to be pleasant helpful and be there for each customer at the time of service

Every thing was not so good because I couldnt find a cart to put all my groceries in to I have to be walking back and forth to the cashier with my stuff in my hand

I stopped shopping there for a while because it was very dirty and shelves were always empty and the employees were a lil Shady.. I stopped today and they did a complete 180! Everything is clean even the windows, both doors were unlocked packed shelves fresh product and the employees are really nice young ladies.

As always, convenient and dependable for the items I needed, but was also glad to see lysol spray cans on display

Is this Family Dollar pretty? Nope. But for being on the main drag, they usually have what you need. The people are nice, and its actually clean although the store deserves a face lift...

It was a quick trip run in grab what I needed and run. Cashier very friendly and sanitary.

Went in there a few days ago and two customers and an employee had no mask on. There is a sign on the door stating to wear a mask . So if your uncomfortable with people not caring about others safety then i wouldn’t recommend because i honestly didn’t appreciate it while others are trying to be safe.

Empty shelves as most stores are. Did companies quit making stuff to put on shelves to sell, do you really think a virus is in products so best not to stock shelves, wake up world if you want business deliver products to sell or we all go to amazon and they get richer

I found many item almost half price comparing with others stores that I visited. Kitchen accessories are one of the best section. For a $1 each on the 90% of the items you get a good quality merchandise. Normally I buy ceramic plates and glass items at Family Dollar. SAVE MONEY AND DO A BIG SHOPPING!!!

I went in the store the other day and had the best service and experiance from an employee at the store. She was very kind and helpful and deserves recognition. I believe her name was Janet? She was an assistant manager. Lovely girl and service. 5 stars.

DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM THIS STORE!! Two separate times that Ive bought food from this store it has had worms in it. First time was chocolate chips. Second time was dry white rice. Will not be shopping at this location ever again.

I have learned Family Dollar is a great place to pick up certain hurricane supplies and stopped in as Dorian was approaching. While shopping I overheard a customer trying to figure out if she could afford a small pack of batteries along with the two large cans of Chef Boyardee in her cart. She did not have enough to cover everything so put the batteries back.We are not rich, but are at least able to afford what we need when we need it for the most part. As I was checking out with my $150+ order I quietly asked the cashier to ring up the small pack of batteries and discretely hand them to the customer when she came up to pay.I ended up in a very awkward situation when the customer went up to the second line that had opened up and my cashier handed the batteries over and loudly explained that I had paid for them already. Not the most awful thing to happen, but I did get some looks from the others in line behind me.Fast forward a couple of weeks. Here I am with more food/supplies than I know what to do with. We donated some hurricane supplies to the local food bank, kept some, and returned some.When I arrived at Family Dollar with my returns, they totaled a little under $30 out of the $166 I had spent. The first question the cashier asked me was why I would wait so long to return the items - like styrofoam plates and bowls expire?? I found myself having to give a long explanation about how Im recovering from a spinal fusion and I dont yet drive, so I had to wait until I sorted through everything and had a ride.Apparently my explanation was sufficient to warrant my returning items. But when I told the story about the batteries and showed how they were rung up twice, the cashier would not refund the extra $2.35 + tax that I was doubly charged for. I relayed the entire story to her again, pointing out it would be strange for me to make something like that up, and asked if there was a way she could contact the cashier or verify my story the next time the cashier came it. She simply said they could not refund the money for the second charge.I asked the cashier if it made sense that someone who had purchased $166 worth of items would be trying to scam a store out of $2.35 - especially when the purchase itself was made for a total stranger. I even repurchased items against the returns, so actually only got a little over $7 back in the end.The store itself is what one would expect when walking into a Family Dollar - nothing fancy, not too dirty but not super clean, and a little bit of everything everywhere. I dont consider myself to live in an area where people are known for scamming, but I guess that happens everywhere.It just would be nice if a representative of a company would have a little more faith in other humans. Its $2.35 for goodness sake...

Store closes whenever they want. Lines will be long and the cashiers will just look at you and will not open another register. Coupons never work and they wont honor them outside of the app. Customer service sucks! Worst store ever! Glad they will be closed soon. Can the neighborhood get a dollar tree or DG instead. Asking for my neighbors.

Good evening, I went ahead and let all your managers know ahead of time of this continuous problem at store number 6793-Altamonte springs. Firstly I am a regular customer on a daily basis. I went ahead and let nunca knowAnd also the other manager who is thin and short with curly black hair and glasses. I went into the store1 week ago And karina was working. Your beepers were going off at the store doors and she let all her friends or should I say Spanish friends go thru and ran around the counter and stopped a black boy and made him empty hisPockets in front of a line that was passed your Xmas aisle. 16 peopleOn line all witnessed this and proceeded toDrop there things and walk out. It was embarrassing and legally she had no Right to Do It. customers walked out bc they seen all Spanish people walk pass the beepers that we’re goingOff non-stop and she only stopped the black boy. I then proceeded to pay and she told me she’s the manager and she has the right to do what she wants and she has the right to make them empty there pockets. The mother of the child Was already outside and did not see what happened. The boy was a child. She was very unfriendly and down right rude. I again went back to the store with her working and the line was Passed the Xmas aisle Again which I now Have pictures to prove it and will send and she again is the only One On register while The other girl is walking around the aisles. She proceeded to tell us the other lady is only Working 1 hour a night and can not have a Register. Karina barelySpeaks English and we all know it was bc she did not want to count another cash draw out. I want to know how long are we going to keep letting this poor customer service go on in your store. She is a poor rude manager and she should not be working for Your company. Several Customers again walkedOut In frustration Bc this only happens when she is there and closing. This behavior should not Be tolerated. Ive been coming here every two weeks for over a year. The staff are accomodating. The store could use some new floors and shelves. Sometimes they sell items that are missing pieces or broken at a discount. =( Still ... theyve become a staple for me to buy some things I use daily.
