Waited two weeks to ship called to make sure I wanted UPS which was great because I needed book ASAP but substituted older book without notification which was useless. Called and was hung up on. Cost me a $300,000 stamp collection since the lone reference I needed asap and waited 3 weeks to get was wrong. Avoid, communication was bad, disorganized to say the least.
Subway was the best for stamp supplies, always the fastest too.My January order never happened, luckily I wasnt charged.Ordered again 2 months ago and still havent been charged or received anything.They have hit rock bottom after many years of superb service.
Were hit hard by covid but so glad they are open now. Lots of supplies needed by hobbists.
Placed an order August 26th 2020, was confirmed by email. Its four months later now. I called several times, they picked up once after two months (I let it ring five minutes) and gave me a story, back-ordered, boo-hoo, sorry, well be in touch. Ive lately tried by email but, big surprise, no one has responded to my query.I appreciate an order might take longer in these times but in four months I havent received a call, email update or anything. Im not sure the company has a long-term view towards business.Feb. 26th 2021 update: Today is a six-month anniversary. Someone sensitive at Subway noticed my December Google post and contacted me on Dec. 29th, notifying me my $60 (+/-) order was still on back order and encouraging me to cancel.The experience has been educational. I contacted their supplier in Germany, the items were in-stock and immediately available. The third item is a stockbook (no longer made but very likely on Subways shelf). So, after six months, Subway hasnt ordered anything - the back-order claim is a lie to you, as a customer. If there is no profit to be made, Subway will ignore you forever.Ive since purchased what I need elsewhere - who wouldnt? - but keep the order open to amuse myself.
An order for Showguard Mounts (not the rarest things in the universe) was placed mid-July and I was told it would take two weeks. I didnt mind that, because I was on vacation. This morning I am told that they have to check the warehouse. What kind of way is this to do business? I was told I will get a call back. If I am told any more nonsense I will cancel the order and never do business with them again. If my money is not refunded will take this up with American Express. Caveat Emptor, if you are going to do business with them. ......It is now two hours later and I still havent received the telephone call back that I was promised. No way to do business. If I do not receive a call back this afternoon I will cancel the order and get in contact with American Express. December15th: the order showed up I do not even remember if it is what I ordered July. No invoice in the package, no statement, no apology, nothing.
I waited for my order for three months. The customer support doesnt answer phone calls. Also, they dont respond to emails.
Very disappointing. I emailed their customer service address twice to inquire on the status of my order and I never received a response. After a month I called them, and I was told it would be another six weeks. I understand Lindner products are coming from Germany, but I have ordered from other dealers and it has never taken two and a half months. I cancelled my order and will order from another dealer. Ill never order from Subway again.
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I am in the same boat. Ordered $300 worth 2 weeks ago, they charged my credit card and I have not seen my order. Shipping should only take 2 days from there to me. No one answers the phone. Two phone messages and one email later I am still waiting to hear something. Terrible customer service!
Problems abound...1. Price quoted is not the price they attempted to charge... 2.Was notified 2 weeks after ordering that items were out of stock... then changed that order and as it did not arrive 8 days later I was forced to contact them.Again was told that items they specifically said were in stock were not.NO COMMUNICATION from these folks whatsoever...I Cancelled for good.This was a great company at one time.Seems as though they are on there way out of business.If not, they will be...
Do yourself a favor and dont order anything from this shop. You cant get in touch with them and probably will never receive anything
Ive ordered several times from Subway and received the items the next day. Staff is very helpful and friendly as well. Just wish I lived closer to their store!

A back-ordered item never seems to have been ordered at all. After over six weeks, I gave up, despite a telephone call from the company (after one month) telling me that the item was not in stock but was being ordered and should be available within days. (?) Since then I have not heard from them. Incidentally, I found the item on Amazon and received it within three days.
