Went to purchase a new pickup and had some things pop up, so I had to run home. In the mean time the paperwork made it to the finance desk along with my credit check and other information. Come to find out they sold the pickup from in under me. This goes to show the integrity of this company. I will not be doing business with them in the future, and I would highly suggest you don’t either. If there was a way to give them zero stars, I would.

We are driving through Oklahoma on the Friday before 4th of July, pulling our 5th wheel trailer when my truck went into limp mode. After stopping at Oreillys and finding out what code it was giving our hometown dealership suggested we call the nearest GM dealership. We were lucky to be in Altus and contacted Wilmes Chevrolet/Buick. The service department staff told us to come in right away and had it on the computer within minutes. They sent us to go get lunch in the service center truck and called us within a relatively short time. Lucky for us it was a simple fix, but the way each member of the service center staff went above and beyond for us makes me know that, had it been something big, they would have done a wonderful job. We will definitely be calling them from Texas when its time for our next truck!!!!!

My Equinox had an issue on the way to Childress TX and I called Wilmes in Altus and spoke with Jerry Baker. He arranged to have it towed to the dealership. It is a company car that was purchased in Tennessee, but when we arrived, they got the car right in and diagnosed the problem. They had to order a part, so they gave me a loaner car to use while mine was getting fixed! What awesome service!!! Big Thanks to Randy, Mike, and Jerry for getting right to my repair and getting me back on the road!!! If you are close to Altus and need your Chevy serviced, look no further than Wilmes!!!

Although I was terribly disappointed when I began experiencing problems with the infotainment screen malfunctioning daily after only owning my DREAM TRUCK for about a month and having only put about 4,000 miles on it. (Of course you know this is a top of the line $78,000 truck) After scheduling an appointment for repair, the service team got right on it and connected their computer to my truck so it could be updated. Even though I don’t understand why a brand new truck needs to be updated, this appears to have remedied the problem. The service manager explained that future updates will come to my truck automatically.

Used to be a great car lot. Not now. My mom took her car in for hail damage repair and was told that they will stay in the range of the repair check. Well they didnt and since they went over the limit. They were trying to get my mom to pay the extra 500 claimed that it is the deductible charge and things has changed since the agreement very disappointed in this car lot

Their service center is horrid. I guess they are oil changing specialist on new cars. My car was over heating and they diddnt even take off the radiator cap while they had it 3 seprate times over a 4 day time span. Seems like they were coming out with 4 figure numbers before finding a solution. Mistakes were made on my end, hopefully you wont make the same.

I dealt with the Wilmes Collision Body shop, specifically Jerry--overall it was an excellent experience. He took the time to listen to my concerns when I dropped off the car, took care of my car quickly, and made sure I was happy with everything when I picked my car up. He walked me through the work they did on the car, and immediately addressed any issues I had (which werent a lot). Additionally, hes very knowledgeable, thorough and honest. Youre in good hands with Jerry, and I highly recommend going to him for body work.

I would like to give a big shout out to Wilmes Chevrolet. I was visiting my daughter, stationed at Altus A.F.B Oklahoma and had car trouble with my Acadia. I called and got a quick response on the phone and talked to the service manager, Mike. He was very helpful. He sent a tow truck my way and the wrecker driver, Michael was very polite and gave me a ride back to the dealership. It was a great experience and they had me back on the road very quickly. The body shop does half decent work and tries to pass it off and when you ask them about incorrect work they are sarcastic like youre in the wrong for asking.Response: This is in regards to work that was performed on my friends Lexus. I accompanied her to the body shop to give the car a look over after work was performed. We found no less than 3 issues and when I mentioned adjusting a trim piece I was asked what body shop did I work for and that its within spec because even brand new cars arent perfect. The bottom line is this, dont question someones intelligence or knowledge on a matter when you are in the wrong because that person just might know what they are talking about, ultimately making you look very foolish. The end result was that the car was not accepted that day and the next day all the parts that were not perfect the day prior had been fixed and were perfect the next day which tells me that the QA guy on this job that was being sarcastic failed to do his job and wanted to pass of something that could have been done right to begin with. I hate to put a business out there like this but since you asked i would hope that some fine tuning in customer service in your body shop occurs. Additionally, chewing a wad of tobacco and spitting in a cup at the counter isnt a good look. The comments made by your staff that day lost you two Chevy customers who were in the market for a Suburban and a Tahoe.

My husbands CTSV has been their for over a month now, their first excuse was that they were waiting on his insurance company then they tried saying it took over 2 and a half weeks to get all the parts?Jerry in the body shop is god awful as well, terrible communication skills and lack of empathy as to our situation seeing as we live in Colorado and the vehicle is there in Oklahoma. Every time we wanted an update on his car WE had to call or email. Jerry never once reached out to him.Also, over charging his insurance company. Jerry can’t even order the correct parts to begin with.I grew up here so I have a lot of family and friends and I will make sure they never come here.I work in the service department for Ford and I train advisors so I know how all of this goes, this is the worst place I’ve ever had to deal with, Will NEVER return.

Ok, a couple of days ago, I scheduled an appointment to have an oil change here. I have a Chevy Equinox 2013 and I bought it from them Wilmes Chevy.Today my wife took the car, and they put a wrong oil type. luckily I checked my bank account balance and saw the notice I was charged less, $29. which I usually am charged $35. I called them and asked if there was a discount or the oil price got lower, but I was asked to take the car back and recharge the oil to get the right type of OIL. So, watch out for their service. If I would not notice, I would go more than what I had to on the oil ( they put regular instead semi-synthetic oil.) and I would jack up the engine due to their fault. WATCH OUT.

Spent $4000 to repair my GMC SUV. They used old parts but said that they used new parts, they farmed out some of the repair work to other local garages, they overcharged and put in $40 charges for phony disposal of rags and such. They will not give written warranties only verbal ones that are worthless. They break ground straps on vehicles and do not repair them. They leave out wire harness fastener bolts so that wires can touch hot surfaces and result in fires. From my four experiences with repairs on a late model vehicle there I would recommend people stay clear of this crooked dealer that sits outside a military base.

I recently, from Sept 9,14 to Nov 11,14, had the following experience with Wilmes.After 7 weeks in their shop, my car was returned to me with visable body damage still. The first time they said it was ready, 3 weeks in the shop, it had pieces hanging down, parts in the back seat and half of the dash and A/C did not work. This was thier idea of fixed, supposedly verified by their Shop Boss.They also still have the manual for my radio and in dash computer, with the folder they came in. Why did they need access to the computer that has nothing to do with the car? I spoke with the owner, Mr. Wilmes, and he said they were finished with the car, and he would check on the manuals that are missing. If you want your car fixed right, I would never go to any Wilmes Store, for any reason.It is a shame they are located on Veterans Drive, after the way I have been treated.Paul WarnkenDisabled Veteran
