Cashier pressured my bf into buying a $1 candy when we were already buying a $1 candy. Do you want to buy a candy for $1 so I dont get cussed out by my manager? My bf is non-confrontational so he fell for it, but I dont think it was professional nor polite of that man to speak to us that way. Does he really think guilt makes customers want to buy candy? I dont care if youre having a contest selling candy, the way he offered the candy read to me as a hey dont let me, the oppressed and underpaid working class, get emotionally abused for not selling a product the company decides to push. Ś He should have paid me a dollar for the emotional labor that caused me. I hope your manager does cuss you out for poor customer service, because I would never be able to get away with a rude pitch like that at any of my food service or retail jobs.
Family Dollar has a good variety of products. The staff is helpful, recently my wife and I were buying floor tiles at the one in Alvin but only 16 cases were available. The clerk called around and located 4 more cases for us, perfect.
