Clayton Homes in Alvin TX is the best place to buy your home if you want it done right! They did have the lowest price for the most home but that was not the most important thing for us. We have purchase several homes over the years but this was our first manufactured home purchase. The Alvin TX/Clayton Home team did a fantastic job helping us pick out our custom design options and there are many. They told us when the home would be completed and delivered and even during the middle of the Covid Pandemic they were right on schedule! I was very concerned about all it takes to buy and set up a home since I dont know about electrical, septic/sewer, A/C, plumbing, setting up a pad site or getting a home to my property. The Alvin TX Clayton Home Team knew all the top service providers needed to insure my home was safely delivered, set up and done right. The service after the sale has been very impressive. We found a few imperfections after our home was delivered and set up. We let them know and immediately they were out to fix it all! We love our new Clayton Home and feel like the main reason is the personal and professional guidance we received from the Alvin TX Clayton Home Team!

I was initially very excited to be working with Clayton homes. We have been trying to purchase a home called the anniversary. It’s taken longer than we expected to get everything set up with the city so we could make it happen. All during this time my husband had been touching base with Randy to keep him updated about where we are in the process. Well are ducks are finally lining up and today my husband called to get the ball rolling and when he did Randy told him that the house was no longer available at the initial price and that it would now be an additional $15,000. We have been in communication with Randy this entire time! It’s been months, but we have always called to let them know where we were in the process on a monthly basis! We have been dealing with getting city permits and all that is required to place the home. He never once mentioned or let us know that the price was increasing! He could have let us know! Yet he said nothing! I am seriously torn as to whether I should even purchase a home from Clayton now! It’s not about the money so much as this is about customer service! Maybe Randy doesn’t care? You should though, and I hope this review helps you when you are going through the difficult process of choosing a home. I am sure we are not the only couple who has had to jump through hoops to place a home on property they own. However for Clayton not to say anything to us when the had an opportunity to let us know every month the price would be increasing is poor customer service!! In response: This is about providing updates to your clients. I understand price increase. What is not appropriate is to not say a word about it for months and waiting until we were ready to put a deposit down to even mention the price increase. Good customer service would be updating clients of price increases along the way so they can be prepared. No worries though we purchased a home through Oak Creek and they have been very responsive and helpful. You had our business until this happened.

My experience with Kate was extremely pleasant. Kate is very knowledgeable and made herself available for all of my questions. Aside from Kate I will say Clayton Homes are much better quality than other homes I’ve viewed!

I have to say, I have been shopping for a mobile home for months, and this location is by far the best in the city. They treated me like I was a friend..no wait, more like family. They were extremely busy, and yet the manager came out of his office to greet me, with extreme professionalism. I was so taken back how courteous he was to both me and my girlfriend, and our 7 children. Upon taking the tour, I was please to see the houses look and smell like brand new. I could not wait to make one of the houses my dream home. I am also quite impressed how the salesperson was so patient with my kids. They were running around acting crazy, but he did not miss a beat. AT the end of the day, we put money down on a double wide, and looks like we will get to order it next week. Thanks so much!

My fiancé bought us a home from them, 4 bedroom, covid hit and that’s understandable that their will be set backs, my sales person did a very poor job of keeping us informed, we mostly had to contact him to get any kind of info . We have lived in the home for about 2 months now and honestly whoever they contracted to put the home together did a very poor job, it’s like they just slapped it together and payed no mind to detail. There is stains on the walls from them putting it together I’m assuming, the cheap trim around the doors or walls should be nailed in & is raised all throughout the home and looks very tacky, the appliances that came with the home pop a lot and make noises throughout the day. There is also a crack In our bedroom ceiling. The dishwasher was installed with nails that were out at a bad angle so now it’s split the particle board and its flacking off. Down to the toilet seat not even being put on correctly it’s halfway off & the sink where the knobs and faucet moves around as well. I contacted them one time and was told a contractor would come out to fix it, they never showed up, I contacted them again and was told to send pictures now to a email which will be time consuming & inconvenient to take that many pictures. We should have moved into a home that doesn’t need things like this to be fixed it’s brand new!!! We are paying for this home and as of right now I regret going this route & wouldn’t recommend buying from them.

When I went to Clayton Home in Alvin I was met by Randy. Although I told him my credit was not that great, it didnt stop Randy from helping me like I had great credit. Besides looking at the homes and saw one I liked he helped me work with a couple banks. No pressure and he was always there to help me. Ive been to other Clayton places and was never treated as nice as this place. go see him if you want to be treated right

I decided to edit my review due to some concerns about fishy reviews on this page. No trickery here guys. I been to a Clayton homes in Houston before and got tricked into purchasing a home not of my liking. I wouldnt dare do the same to someone else. The Clayton home in Alvin was by far my best experience with Ron whos very patient, and understanding in finding you a wonderful place to call home. We got approve, and due to familiy personal reasons decided to not go with the offer at the moment. While Ron still remained the nice patient guy in character to us. Your application fee is refundable guys. So nothing here to loose. Come out for yourselves and see. You want regret it.

Just an hour before me and my husband came in we had went to Mobile Housing of texas and they told us that they would be wasting there time showing us models because we werent purchasing and that man actually made me cry. We got the courage to come to clayton and they understood we werent ready to purchase but were more than happy to show us some model homes and I left there with a few houses in mind and a smile on my face. I will most definitely be coming back to this location to buy my first home

Be careful with what you sign when dealing with Calyton Homes. They do everything in house they will have you sign a sheet saying that you cannot choose who will do the appraisal and that they will cover the charges. Clayton Homes deals with the loan company Am Cap unfortunately the property i was trying to have them purchase did not meet the appraisal and we could not do the deal. Four months later i was trying to purchase another home and property from another loan company while in the process we found out that the FHA loan that had been through Am Cap had never been closed. After contacting David Gilbreath with a Am Cap only than i was charged the $850 for the appraisal in order for Am Cap to release the FHA loan to my new loans name in order to go forward with the purchase of my new home. To me in these hard times thats pretty low for any loan company. Beware of Clayton Homes tactics.

This is the best Clayton Homes location and the management is top notch. You couldnt ask for a better location and the inventory is far more than you would expect as the property is huge!

They have alot of homes at this location that you can walk through and so many different floor plans to choose from.. They were very friendly and helpful!

Clayton Homes in Alvin has some of the nicest people and are very helpful.

Horrible experience. Mobile home looked nice until the first time it rained. Nearly every window leaks, door leaks and have water dripping from a light fixture. Multiple calls to the lot and even corporate did nothing. The one time they sent some unskilled laborers they did nothing to help the problem. I was lied to multiple times saying they would come fix the problems and no one ever showed up. The trailer won’t even last as long as the loan. I’m stuck trying to fix this piece of junk myself or let it go back and ruin my credit. I wouldn’t recommend Clayton to anyone.

Started to build the house until the representative took our money, stopped the build and vanished on us. Dont go here.
