Honestly i’m only giving two stars for the nice employees. when i went to pick out my dress it was great found exactly what i wanted but when we went back for fitting we’re told seamstress wasn’t there so they pinned it themselves then when we called back about our final fitting said they couldn’t give specific time due to seamstress being sick which is fine however communication was lacking and if we had not called i’m scared they wouldn’t have let us know until week of wedding. got to new seamstress and found several holes from first initial fittings with nothing we could do and also the bottom of dress was very dirty even thou i had only been in it in clean shoes for fitting. very disappointed in lack of communication a professionalism would not recommend them! however the younger associates were very nice!

Bought the dress and veil of my dreams at the perfect cost !! It was such a great experience!! Thank you ladies !!

0 stars if I could. Please read these reviews. This place is awful. My wedding dress slowly ripped all night. We paid over $500 if it to be altered and it was a waists of money considering it ripped. The red headed old lady is very VERY rude. We were told alterations were included in the price and that was the deal breaker for buying the more expensive dress. Later she called me a liar saying that was never said. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone in a million years.

The employees were all so nice. They didnt make me feel rushed or pressured in to anything specific. I said yes to my wedding dress and it couldnt have been a better experience 🥰

I went to brides just to look and it was the first shop I went to. I ended up finding my dream dress the very first dress i put on. The staff is amazing and super bubbly and supportive and honest and helpful. Highly recommend them!

Really wish I had read the reviews before going here. The girls that helped me were lovely, however I had to ask the manager a question. She was awful. I asked a simple question as to why my niece couldn’t come in. I followed Covid policies because I always do. It’s respectful in my opinion. There policy was no kids which I understood. However when I arrived, there was a group of 8 people and 2 kids. One was not wearing a mask. So I asked if my niece could come in. I was told no. I tried to enquire about the large party and the children that I just saw in there. She put her hand up cut me off. And said “No, this is my store and my policy. And Covid you know.” Then she continued to speak to me ask if I was a child. If I hadn’t been in total shock of how I was treated I would have left. I tried on a few dresses but couldn’t shake the bad feeling so we left. I cried when I got in the car.This was heart wrenching because I was so looking forward to dress shopping at numerous places. Planning this wedding has been less desirable due to family matters. I wanted to feel beautiful. And I did at David’s Bridal. Those ladies are fabulous. However, my experience at brides will forever have put a damper on the memories of this day. If you want the boutique experience, try Ruthette’s in Canyon. However, I’ll say it again.... the ladies at David’s Bridal were superb!

My daughter found the perfect dress! The staff was helpful, and fittings were scheduled quickly, even though we had a tight schedule. It wasn’t crowded and we weren’t rushed.

Let me tell you a little bit about Brides. I had the most wonderful experience ever! I drove all the way from Oklahoma City because my sister lives in Amarillo and wanted to go dress shopping with me. I didnt plan on finding a dress but little did I know, Id find the one! They were so helpful and so kind. Not once did I feel rushed or pushed into a dress at all. I had gone so many places in OKC and this was by far my best experience. Since I wasnt planning on finding a dress, I had to make payments. Each time I called on the phone to make a payment, the girls there were so sweet and helpful. When I went to pickup my dress after paying it off, I asked to try it on one more time before taking it home. They were more than happy to help me slip into my dream dress. They also had all the receipts from my payments for me to take home. I would recommend them to anyone! Also, I heard, they are not commissioned based which is a HUGE deal! Especially if you dont want to feel forced into buying a dress you dont really like/want.

The owner of this store is hands down the best. All her employees are so attentive, kind, and caring. I was so torn between my dresses between their store and a local salon. They helped me.break down what I loved about each dress and then pulled a few other dresses for me to try on. They asked me to trust them and I did. Im so glad I did because they first dress they pulled was completely opposite of my favorite two and was absolutely stunning and pretty much made for me. They all encouraged me and gave me so much confidence. I now have my dream dreams all within my price range and my picky requirements.If you are getting married please go to brides first! All their dresses are so unique and beyond beautiful!

This was everything my daughter and I dreamed that the wedding dress experience would be. These ladies are so very helpful...no matter what your budget/expense is, they can help you find exactly what you want. They are just lovely to work with and cannot say enough about Lanie. We treasured this experience so much as mother and daughter...so sweet. It is non stress, non hectic and a truly wonderful place to buy and try on wedding dresses. Thanks so much ladies!

Had the most wonderful time at Brides! Laney is who helped me and she was so sweet. They ask the bride to pick out the dresses and not family/friends but everyone can look. My family still picked out a few anyway. They have an awesome selection I was pleasantly surprised!! The waiting area/stage is pretty insane. Tons of mirrors but the lighting is spot lights so theres lots of shadows. I thought I read they dont let you take photos but she let us take a ton. She also let me try on dresses more than once so I could decide! Definitely recommend.

Went in with my daughter and her bridesmaids and had a horrible experience! Unfortunately they have no idea on customer service . I have managed for many years and they need a course on treating customers. They told us they only have dresses up to size 14 and if we needed bigger sizes we just need to order online cause they I quote said we are not a warehouse and rolled their eyes . I said how will we know how it will look on each girl cause not everyone has same body shape . They just shrugged their shoulders . So sad how people treat others . But there is good news in the end DAVID BRIDLES excelled in helping my daughter and her group of brides maids!!! They have up to size 22 and they are not a warehouse 🤨 the girl who helped us gave us amazing customer service made us feel important!!! One on one time with them !!!! Brides boutique not everyone is size 12 and under just saying treat people how you would like to be treated !

The ladies here were so helpful. I came in SUPER last minute because that was when I was told I needed a bridesmaid dress. Even so, these ladies were kind and went above and beyond to order me a dress and help me figure everything out. they saved the day for sure! I highly recommend this store!

Absolutely perfect. I am not one to normally write reviews but after my experience at Brides I felt that I should. I noticed that there is a negative review posted but I just wanted to take the time and tell everyone to not let that scare you away from the store. Everyone was so nice and helpful to my bridal party and I. It truly couldnt have been more perfect. I got my dress, veil, and bridesmaid dresses all from them. They were exceptional when it came to professionalism and answered any questions I had. They even let me come try on my dress just for fun while we were waiting for the big day to arrive. I just cannot express my gratitude towards ALL of them employees at Brides. Dont waste your time going to a chain Bridal store where you are just another face and go to Brides where they truly treat you like family. Love love love Brides!!!

Love the ladies here! My first visit was in March and I was skeptical because I am plus size. Shirley found a slew of dresses that I might like and never ceased to make me feel comfortable and happy. She was so warm and sincere. The staff made me feel like a princess!They are all warm and welcoming and willing to help with anything! They find you exactly what you want, and if they cant find it, theyll make it for you! Excellent! I felt like a princess every time they put me into my dress!

The ladies at Brides were very helpful and very sweet. They helped me find the perfect dress and even altered it exactly the way I wanted. I highly recommend Brides!

Terrible terrible service! Came with my bridal party to get them dresses and they are all size 10 and up. Firstly they didn’t help at all gave us one room to all share and never once asked to help zip dresses . After two of my girls couldn’t even get the dresses past their hips we asked f they had any bigger sizes and they said “what you see is what you get sorry” then the owner sat and argued with us that it’s ridiculously impossible to have all the sizes and they only go to size 14 and if we want one we will just have to see how it looks on the model because that’s what the pictures are for and they can just order it. TERRIBLY RUDE I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE.

This place had terrible customer service and even the owner was awful. I would not recommend, even to my worst enemy.Let me give you some details about myself first and then the experience:*I have worked in bridal shops before. I know customer care is especially important when it comes to any bride finding their perfect dress.*I know the stress that comes with job of assisting brides.*I had no budget limit. If I had needed to spend 50,000 plus on the right dress, or alterations for my mothers dress, I would have in a heartbeat.*I generally dress in baggy t-shirts and jeans, but who doesnt, so I dont look the part of someone having the funds as aforementioned.The experience:I brought in my mothers dress to attempt to be altered. From the second I came in, I told them I was only there for and alteration estimate. They started the visit well but the minute I mentioned also having another shop in town look at my dress for an estimate, the atmosphere and attitude changed drastically. They said that they needed time to look at the dress in the back of the store (which is understandable). However, instead of letting me wait for any information they could provide, they started throwing me into dresses (even though I clearly stated I was not there to buy).Through the process of trying on dresses, they quickly began referring to their in store dresses as better quality and a better choice to spend money on rather than my mothers.In the end, I tried on a dress that I would have bought with cash, right then and there, if my mothers wouldnt have worked.BUT what happened next completely ruined everything.While standing in the room in a bra and slip, vulnerable and exposed, the dressing attendant came in with my mothers dress and said they wouldnt be helping me further unless they could guarantee either a sale or alteration. Dropping my mothers dress down, she snatched the other dress from the room, ALL WHILE THE DOOR WAS CRACKED OPENED, and left for a moment. They didnt offer to help put the dress back in the box they so joyfully pulled it from earlier. They didnt offer any assistance after this point. I was told I could get dressed, (theyd have the paperwork from my fittings IF I decided to come back) and leave.So lasting memory I have of this place is:Standing half naked, feeling belittled, holding onto my mothers dress in tears, and feeling like I was worthless.

DO NOT USE BRIDES! If I had the option, I would go back and NEVER do business with them again. I am also telling all of my friends to stay away, to which they also tell me a bad experience they have had.First of all, the ladies who run the place are extremely rude. They have a better than thou attitude. That is last thing you want to worry about when you are a bride.Second, they tried to sell me their sample dress at the exact same price as a brand new dress. The lace was torn in certain places. The zipper had torn the inside as well. They said these dresses were like their babies and they had a hard time separating with them. I do not want to spend full price on a dress that has been torn and worn when I can buy a new one for the same price. They acted like they were very offended by this.Third, somehow 500 dollars magically disappeared. My mom paid in cash and made the mistake of not getting the receipt. The lady who took our money was apparently a very Christian women who would never do anything like that. Considering the fact I am marrying a pastor and I myself am on the worship team, that is very offensive.Fourth, they called my mom today and told her they refuse to alter my wedding dress because someone wrote in my notes that we smelled like smoke. I have never smoked in my life. My house has never been smoked in. None of my bridesmaids smoke. My fiances family does not smoke. No one I am close to smokes.Please do not use Brides. Wedding planning is already stressful enough. You do not need these ladies to add their hateful attitudes to it as well.

90% of the prom dresses were “last season” so they can’t be ordered, which means you buy the dress that’s in store. Problem with that is, the dresses are disgusting. The zipper was ripped on every single dress, beads were all falling off, the fabric was fraying. My sister tried on 5 dresses before we knew we couldn’t order any of them, and not ONE was even in decent condition. And the prices remained the same, no markdown on damaged dresses. Pure trash.

This was the most amazing experience ever!!!! The ladies here were so sweet and Im so grateful for them making my dreams come true!!! Nicole R. helped find me 2 dresses!!! I also got to meet Danilee who was so sweet and also made my dream dress become a reality!!!I went to Davids Bridal before and it was a terrible experience! My recommendation is GO TO BRIDES FIRST!!! It will save you from headaches and frustration! Trust me!!!

I have purchased 2 prom dresses, a wedding dress and a bridesmaid dress from here. I will NEVER go anywhere else, amazing customer service, great employees and such a great atmosphere!!

I should have taken the advice I read online. Shame on me for ignoring it and to give them a chance. After a bad experience at a chain store ( which I also reviewed) I thought I would try a local store. Lots of beautiful dresses that werent typical. Im a. True size 14 and thought I found lots to try on. I got in the dressing room,handed my selections over so my size could be pulled from the back, stripped down to my underwear and a way too small bustier only to find out that ALL my selections ONLY came in a sz10. Of course they could order me the size I needed, but it would permanently be mine. *** ** ** 0 return policy*** *** **I wasnt able to fit into any of the too small dresses but told to go ahead and try and they could pin the dress so I could see. Isnt hat how the muffin top name came about??? I squeezed my sz 14 body into the biggest part of a size 10..and my consultant had the audacity to have huge eyes when the back of the dress wouldnt zip. I was totally humiliated!! If you are not a sz 2 or 10, this store doesnt have your size. This is miserable to live in a town of?? 200K people and this selection of minimal and felt very made fun of while Im exposed. While I was being told about the ** ** 0% return policy ** ** I kept over hearing a lady in he next room being chewed out about her selections. I felt really bad for the lady that was In TEARS!! My consultant advised me that was the owner chewing a customer out. I could not get out of there fast enough.

NEVER SHOP at Brides (located on westgate in amarillo, tx). AVOID this shop AT ALL COSTS!I promise you, the drama and the stress and the poor service is not worth your emotions and your precious time- especially during such a unique and special occasion in your life. Your beautiful wedding deserves an experience that you want to cherish- NOT DREAD and cry over.I should really start by saying that I am a very objective, kind and reasonable individual. When I shop somewhere and choose to give someone my business, I expect hard work, prompt service and courteous interaction. Customer service is imperative to any successful business. However, I also understand that each business is made up of many individuals, and individuals have lives outside of public service. I do not expect perfection, nor do I expect anyone to perform miracles; I simply wish to be treated with respect and I expect people to do their job well. This being said, I am taking time out of my life to post that this Bridal shop Brides has literally one of the most unprofessional, ill mannered and insulting managers I have probably ever experienced. 4 weeks after ordering bridesmaid dresses, each of the bridal party members received a phone call and were told that we were going to owe a rush service and alteration fee because the date that was written down by Brides -was wrong. There was push back from the bridal party due to the $50 dollar increase to each members budget. There was no responsibility taken by Brides, the manager blatantly said you each have 15 mins to give me your credit card number, otherwise I find it best that we no longer do business together. THIS WAS 1 month before the wedding! We had placed our order and set dates, discussed plans etc more than 8 weeks prior to the wedding date. I cant help that you are a last minute, unorganized bride the manager accused. She also went on to say that we also may consider not doing your fiancés suits either. We really only want to enjoy serving you and you obviously arent enjoying us. I cannot express to you the feelings that were going on in my mind at the time. I was going to be fired as a CLIENT?! EVEN though Brides was in error?!! Unbelievable. The lack of unprofessionalism does not stop there. The manager continues to stipulate that she will be the only one, from here on out, that will speak to our bridal party anymore, and each time I would call to ask about the progress on our measurements and alterations each staff member would reply we are not allowed to speak to anyone from this bridal party, only the manager will speak with you. Wow. They made more than $1200 dollars off of this wedding and I regret every minute of it. Take my advise and AVOID this place.

Customer service was amazing and the dresses were beautiful but the owner embarrassed her workers publicly and made the experience uncomfortable for everyone.
