I knew of this place from a neighbor who is good friends with the owner and has mentioned them now and then; plus I also drive by and see the big bus all the time. After a recent group went from work to the recent TAC event I decided it was time to get a bow, and wanted to give them a try.I worked with Drake and told him the bow I wanted and then had him sell me on the high end vs low end of each accessory to add on. He did not push me on anything and listened to my questions and thoughts and then offered his preferences. In the end I figured I wanted the bow set for greatness and will hope i still have a bed to sleep in. π. Canβt wait to put some down range when itβs complete. This place is great, customer service and sales are great. Thank you for making it an awesome experience.
I go to their shop in Payson for all of my archery needs. The guys are exceptional and extremely knowledgeable about archery. They help you get what you want and never try to upsell or get you into something different. They walkYou through any questions and explain everything in detail. Iβll never go anywhere else. Iβve purchased my last 6 bows and dozens of arrows from them. They are timely and even stay late after hours to get things completed as theyβve promised.
The team is awesome to work with and they extremely knowledgeable about all things Archery. Working with Nick and Brian was helpful to get me dialed in for another hunting season. I was very impressed with their customer service and honesty in getting customers set up. They work with you time and time again, to make sure your set up is meeting your every expectation. I will never go back to a big box store again. Worth every penny. πͺπ»
This place is the place to go if you need anything for archery.I took my bow for a service and I got more than what I expected in service and time. They exceeded my expectation. so I highly recommend this place.Very professional.
Amazing customer service. Very knowledgeable. Very friendly. I will go back.
Nice folks. They spend some time measuring and testing my 7 year old sons draw length and strength for a custom bow order. Then they tuned a bow they had and let him shoot it in the back room for a while. They treated him really well, and made him feel special and respected as a young archer with little knowledge and experience. My kid loves this place, so I do to.
Friendly but Im not sure they always know what they are talking about hahah depends on the person you get but 1000 % better then Cabelas and any other bow shop
Bought a target from them that was reasonably priced. Went to have my crossbow stringed up and they said they dont do that and they wouldnt let me shoot it on their range. Really? Other places in Utah to go to. Will.nwver buy anything there again. Will go to a dealer that offers all services. Was vaginally told they only deal with compound bows. They do not support full archery unless you have a compound.
Iβm not really impressed with this location, most of the prices are high and their customer service just seems to penny pinch on everything, you would hope that paying higher prices just gives you good customer service, theyβve been bad at communication about when things will be done. Just go to Alβs sporting goods instead, Way better prices and they hardly charge anything for service on equipment
Humphries is awesome! I went to the American Fork location, to get my new bow for the year. Drake helped me out and was awesome, helped me get everything I needed and even called a few places to get certain things I wanted since I am picky. I figured I would rather support an archery shop than a scheels or cabelas. Great service! Since it was so awesome my buddy went and did the same thing and weβre looking forward to keep doing business with them in the future. Cool people and a cool shop.
They had very poor service, they acted like if it wasnβt a Hoyt bow they wouldnβt work on it thatβs OK just more service for the Bow shop, the bow shop claims they get about 80% of humphries service because of stuff not getting done right, Iβve been going there since 2018 but I will never go back, they are not like they used to be.
Didnβt even try!!!!My family is interested in learning archery. The archery club recommended that we check out Humphries for gear. My wife and I walked in and were greeted by a young man in his early twenties. We explained why we were there and that we leaned more towards traditional archery as opposed to using compound bows. This particular shop was obviously geared toward the compound archer. He said that any recurve bows would have to be ordered. But really didnβt even try to show us anything else. I donβt like pushy salespeople but at least make an effort. To his credit, he did offer the suggestion of buying feathered arrows for traditional archery. Because of that nugget of information and the fact that the archery range looked really nice are the only reason they got a second star. The selection of accessories was abysmal and the lack of desire to help was worse. To be fair I only spoke to one person so perhaps the other salespeople have more tenacity.I would not recommend this location to others. Maybe I will give one of the other locations a call and see if they are any better equipped.
Great service, very friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Great range as well. Nice place to get set up.
The best archery shop around!!!!! Drake hooked it up!!!! Tuned my bow perfectly!!!! Also helped me out with setting up a bow for my 5 year old daughter and taught her how to shoot and took some time with her!!!! Never once got irritated or annoying with my daughter!!!! Very helpful and took the time for my family!!! They have my business for life!!!! I highly recommend them for anyone!!!!! From beginners to advanced!!!! They care and have you covered!!!!!
Last season I had my Hoyt tuned at Humphries American Fork by Jake, this is a 2013 bow that I have shot year round and hunted with for all of these years. After Jakeβs tuning, my bow felt and performed better than the bow had performed when it was new. My cams were timed and my arrows tuned to perform so efficiently that I had complete confidence hunting last year for elk success. This year (2020), Jake reserved my string at the cams and the serving with the D-loop, all updated to fit my new release. With a plan to increase spine, weight and FOC arrows, Jake cut, wrapped, fletched, and weighted my arrows to exactness and tuned them to my bow. He expertly optimized my arrow speed and weight to maintain a finished speed of 288 fps. With his expertise, he helped me dramatically improve the performance of my bow. Iβve sent several friends and family members to see Jake and suggest you give him a call if youβre looking to take your archery experience to the next level. Thanks Jake and Humphries Archery in American Fork for your service to the archery community.
Great range and helpful people. Id recommend if youre looking to get a new bow or improve your setup. I only wish the range was deeper.
Very knowledgeable on tuning. Great customer service very friendly staff. They remembered me after coming in a couple of months after buying a bow from them. I would recommend to friends and family.
Had an awesome experience here. Went in and was a little undecided on a few of the products I wanted to look at but the manager Jake was able to help me make the choices I needed to and havenβt regretted any of them. I would highly recommend any hunting friends to go here, and definitely ask for Jake. That man knows his stuff!
These guys are awesome! Not only were the staff knowledgeable and helpful when selecting my bow as a beginner, and newbie to the sport.. But ALSO, I broke my bow string 3 days out from archery season. They turned it around in the same day even though they were BUSY - and - I didnt miss my 2nd preseason shoot session in the evening. Great people.
These guys are AWESOME. We are not huge archery hunters however, for Halloween this year, my daughter needed ALL black arrows at the last minute. These guys put together special arrows for us and even used acid to get rid of the logos on them. They saved our Halloween butts; fantastic customer service!
Wyatt took great care of me when deciding on what new bow to get for the upcoming season. Very professional and well mannered. Not pushy and willing to answer any question I asked. Would recommend!
The staff at this shop are incredible. Colby, the manager, really knows his stuff and is very good at explaining your options when it comes to buying anything from a complete bow to a release. Never once did I feel like they were just trying to sell me something. I went in with a price range and they set me up with the perfect bow. Every time I had I questions or needed something for my bow they helped me at no cost. This shop is the definition of good customer service and they have earned my business for life. They are time efficient and always had me in and out of the door in 15 minutes or less.
I went into Humphries with my mind set on a particular bow. I left two and half hours later with a completely different bow and extremely satisfied. Not to mention, Colby stayed an hour and half over the closing time on a Friday night to help me in my decision.I am new to archery and he shared a lot of valuable information, and I never felt as though he was trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. He took a lot of time to let me shoot different bows and determine what bow was best for ME and in my price range. I am really happy that I decided to visit Humphries. I can not think of another time I have received such great customer service. I will certainly be doing future business with them and would recommend that all bow shooters do the same. You will not be disappointed. .
For 15 years Iβve talked about getting a higher end bow. I carefully and passionately researched and decided that the big difference wasnβt going to be which bow, or accessories, it was going to be putting the right package together for me. I ended up at Humphries in American Fork with Jake Sanborn the manager. He, and the shop, came highly recommended. Surely I could have bought a used bow for less, but what I was searching for was service. A helping hand. Someone to help me Master Archery, to take me from novice to expert, and I feel like I am well on my way!Just today I dropped my bow off for my 500 shot tune. Here it is a week from the opener of the hunt, and got some arrows reflected, switched my bow to performance setting, got a new site tape, and picked out some Broadheads. Expecting a week At worst case before they could get to it, and it was done today!!These guys have earned my loyalty. One happy customer!!
Bought my last two bows at Humphries Archery A.F. and have always had great service. I would recommend anyone wanting to get a bow to visit them. Have to thank Wyatt for all the help the last couple years.
I got a new bow and I needed my draw length changed and my peep site moved. Went in and the two guys at the counter didnβt seem like they even wanted to help me. Looked at me like I didnβt even know what I was doing, and didnβt offer any solutions for any of my issues told me I needed a new cam mod, but told me Iβd have to find another dealer. Said all my equipment was not tuned and needed it which is the reason I went to the shop in the first place. This is not my first issue Iβve had with Humphries. If youβre a new archer and want to get set up, donβt go to Humphries.
This shop is one of the most professional shops I have had the pleasure to visit. They take their time and make sure all questions are answered, are very polite and patient then work with that information to give you the products that will best serve your purposes. This shop even tells you why you might not like a particular selection that they have presented to you. I see no need to go elsewhere as long as the are in business. Extremely satisfied.
The boys at Humphries are awesome. They have set up bows for both my wife and me. Always super knowledgeable and are willing to help with anything. I drive over 2 hours to make sure that the guys at Humphries work on my bow!
I just bought a bow and one for my son. They were totally awesome. I would never go to the big boxes. They know their stuff here better than any. I will never go any where else. James and Colby are total studs. I never felt like they were trying to put me in a bow that was too much or up sell me. They got me just what I needed. They made my arrows on the spot and I will be a loyal customer for a long time.
These guys are great! I needed a bow string put on my bow in a hurry and Wyatt came in early just to help me out. Great customer service! Nice big facility with 20 yard range.
Staff is very helpful! Explained my options for a new sting. Ordered a new one and they had my bow shooting great and done much fastest than expected. Their work is superb! You earned a long time customer!!
I went here on 3 different occasions and never even got a hello or any acknowledgement from the people that work here. They were clearly misjudging me based on how I looked. I had hundreds to spend each time and I ended up walking out disappointed each time. I REALLY wanted to shop locally, but I had to take my business elsewhere and now I have an awesome universal recurve setup from somewhere else that cares about their customers.
4/5 because they said they would have my bow ready by a certain date, and it was a day late. Other than that, the service was great. I walked in knowing very very little about archery, wanting to get my first bow. Dustyn was awesome in providing me with advice, options, and at no point pushed me into a sale. From everything Ive read after purchasing my bow, they set it up correctly. One employee helped me sight it in the day I picked it up, too. Hopefully they continue to have good products and service!
I bought a used bow, and went to Humphries to get a rest and a few other things. Despite the fact that they were busy, Colby took the time to help me really understand my options, and make the best choices in my budget. I paid about the same for my rest, sight and arrows as I would have online, or at a big-box sporting goods store, but Colby set the bow up for me, adjusted the draw weight, cut arrows to length, and let me try a variety of releases. I received superior value and service for my dollar, and plan on going back.
Ive been to many bow shops and each will have its cons, usually timeliness because every bow shop gets slammed and overworked the month up to when the hunts start. These guys crank out some serious work. Wyatt, the AF store manager and the other guys like Dustin know what theyre talking about--they arent just running the bow shop in ignorance, are very knowledgeable, and good with people. Ive seen the owner, Brian, in there multiple times when I was in and have even been in there when it was getting to be crunch time (a week before my hunt although I had been being proactive months before trying to be ready) with a last minute fall-away rest issue that was screwing me. He stopped what he was doing as he seemed to already be rushed trying to leave the shop to handle other affairs and personally hand-tuned my bow to help me get it ready himself. Thats impressive.
Nice guys.. willing to help you whenever you go in... theyre shooting range goes out to about 20 yards... did try to get some information on the new Hoyt defiant and they never called me back but I wont hold that against them
After going a few times for a tune up and a 3D archery shoot, I will definitely be coming back. I was impressed with the level of knowledge by the staff and the customer service they provided. You really can trust these guys and they made me feel confident in their work.
The guys working here are super friendly and knowledgeable. They were more than willing to listen to me ask question after question. Ill definitely be a repeat customer.
These guys are the best. Iβm all the way over in Colorado and they went above and beyond to help me. They spent put plenty of time with me on the phone and never made me feel rushed. They also stayed 30 minutes after they close so I can come by and pick up my bow.
OK so only a couple of employees so you may have to hang out for a bit before you get any help but when its your turn you get 100% attention and a true lesson on how much you didnt know about archery. I bought a new bow and ended up learning so much. Took nearly 1.5 hours to get everything sized and go through the various bows till we found the right one. They did not try and get you to spend as much as possible either. instead they helped to hand pick the right bow for you based on your experience and your budget. I would recommend this place to everyone. Went to a competitor and just was not the same experience.
Great service. Great staff. I owe it to them for me filling my tag last season. They had my new bow tuned up perfectly.
I have been very happy with the process and service I find at Humphries. The help and advice I get when I go in there is second to none. Will definitely continue giving them my business.
Ill never go there again. My friend and I went there yesterday wanting to purchase some arrows and shoot a bow I had just purchased. The guy there seemed to bothered to want to help me. I guess shooting traditional bow is frowned on. Im just starting out in to archery after a suggestion from a fellow veteran as a sport that gets me out of the house and away to help my PTSD. My friend that took time out of his day to drive me had taken me to this shop and highly recommended this shop. He told me Humphreys had set up two bows for him.So dont bother with going to this shop.
Stopped in on my way through town and the staff was very knowledgeable, Jake set me up on the Techno hunt downstairs and man that was a good time!
With these guys in American Fork, there is no job too small for them. They treat you like you are the most avid hunter. I appreciate the respect and professionalism they give me every time.
Purchased two bows and accessories (with free range time as a bonus) - great service, pricing, bow tuning and helpful knowledge. Highly recommended.
2 years ago I bought a bow and took it to another local archery shop to get set up to me. They setup my draw length, told me my poundage and sent me on my way. After 2 years of frustration and losing arrows I came in Humphries. They tested my draw length and made sure it was set up to me, then shot it through paper and noticed my arrows were flying sideways. They told me my bow was not tuned to my settings, and needed to be adjusted. These guys will definitely take the extra time to take care of you. Glad I found a shop that doesnt see you as another number.
These guys are the best in the business! Im telling you they really know their stuff, I wouldnt go anywhere else!
Rode down on my bike and lost my wallet on the way down they asked me why I was not shooting and I told them and they jumped right in and helped me out lots Ill continue to go back
I have known Colby for a while as he is my neighbor. However, I wasnt aware that he worked at Humphries (Brian is also in my neighborhood, he runs the Payson store) but when I ran into him he hooked me up with some screaming deals on my first adult sized bow. I went and got it all sized and whatnot a couple weeks back and just got the funds for it today. Shot it for a couple hours today and I must say that the bow is incredible. But more than that, Colby, Brian, and TJ are class acts. Extremely helpful! They WILL NOT let you leave the store unsatisfied. If I could give more than five stars, I totally would.Edit: Its been a month since I posted this review so I thought Id give a quick update. Since my initial review I have gone back in and put a Hoyt Charger on order. I thought that it would take a few weeks, maybe even a month, to get a blackout Charger in the shop, but they had one right there in stock. Colby was great about helping me set it up with the accessories I wanted. Since I assumed the bow would take much longer, I had not yet saved up the funds for the Charger. Even though I did not have the complete payment amount, Colby still had it set up within that first week.Customer service is a rare thing nowdays, but the guys at Humphries know how it should be done!
Got a new bow string and arrow rest. They did a great job getting everything set up and tuned for me.
Great indoor range, and good customer service, but if you shoot traditional, go elsewhere.
Good place for all things bow.
Very knowledgeable and helpful, great customer service!
I have only been to humphries one time and it was enough for me to know that I like Jakes ALOT better. I went in to get a simple peep sight and they charged me ten dollars! When I could have easily drove over to jakes and got it done for half the price. I think they know what they are talking about just poor customer service in my opinion.
Replaced my string and was very friendly.
Totally great guys, awesome store.
This is not only the best bow shop! Its the only one of you ask me. I wouldnt take my bow anywhere else
The help here is great!
