Ive used Classic Upholstery for two projects and was EXTREMELY HAPPY with both. The team there is very nice, professional and helpful. They kept to the timeline promised and the price was great. I HIGHLY recommend them!We had fun picking out the 3 fabrics for the wingback chair. It turned out beautifully . They also made the floor pillows out of my grandmothers old Navajo blankets. Perfect!
I was very pleased with the reupholstery of our antique chairs. They are beautiful and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this business to anyone.
Great enthusiasm, beautiful fabric options and I cant wait to see my finished reupholstered chair!
They did an excellent job making new boat cushions for me, even made minor adjustments to make sure they fit just right.
Friendly people. Prices are better than fair. True professionals!
My patio furniture looks beautiful with its new upholstery Thanks for the great service
I have had several jobs done at Classic. And their name is very fitting as both jobs came out perfect! The are a class act in my book. Super easy to work with. Knowledgeable (helped me pick a better fabric than I had originally thought I should use), excellent work and very reasonable. I would highly recommend them!
What a great job they did restoring my wifes family heirloom chair. Really amazing work, it looks great. Highly recommend!
They helped us choose a fabric for some new Pottery Barn chairs which we wanted re-upholstered because Pottery Barn didnt offer any good fabric choices. The project was organized with Classic Upholstery from the time we purchased the chairs in May until we picked them up in August. All without a hitch. Its a pleasure to work with them. And the chairs are beautiful.
I have worked with classic upholstery for over a decade. I own a fleet of commercial charter vessels. They have done an incredible job creating cushions for both brand new boat and also replacing cushions on some of our older vessels. We have done more than 2p projects with thus company. They have always made the process easy and enjoyable. Also the cushions have held up well in some of the most demanding conditions.
I went in there to have my favorite chair redone, and all the employees were super patient and kind. My chair was done in a timely manner. I can tell they all take great pride in their work. Will definitely come here again.
Classic Upholstery did my antique couch and a old beloved chair I was hanging onto because it was so comfortable. I couldn’t be more happy, I felt like they really took the time to help me decide what fabric was best, which was nice because I didn’t have to pay a designer. Everybody there seemed really personalble and positive. My pieces came out amazing- I can’t wait to find another project to bring them. It’s nice to be able to turn the old beloved furniture into a piece of art in my home. Thank you Classic Upholstery!
Ive been extremely happy with the end products Ive had made for our boat & for our condo. The ladies are easy & helpful to work with. 🙂
Classic Upholstery made the interior cushions for my sailboat. The cushions turned out great. They are very comfortable, fit perfect, and look sharp. The shop was easy to work with: friendly, professional, and timely. I would definitely recommend using them.
We bought our second foam piece to use as a mattress. Our first bought from Classic, lasted almost 8 years. I view lots less than hubby but the high density foam is the best mattress Ive ever had to sleep on with the foam supporting our different weights without creating that slant for me to sleep on due to the heavier weight. The owner is always friendly and helpful. So even if you dont own some sort of boat, check out foam for a mattress or to re do seating in your RVs.
Called the police on my writing a review a second time - is this the type of company you want to work with?1. Missed first appointment2. Gave us quote, that was accepted with us providing the fabric. (A nice gesture)3. Then ordered a fabric without us being involved.4. Made us pay half (wanted it paid in full) of the fabric they ordered by mistake5. After 8 weeks into a 12 week job they said they no longer wanted to do our job, right before the summer cruising vacation.6. They canceled us a customer and blamed us for their error, and claimed we changed our minds. (We went to someone else and used all the fabric we originally ordered - no changes)7. They then say they are very busy and do not want us, and that their board of business is full. To which I reply - “I can help with that”. I write good and bad reviews all the time, as that is what this is all about.8. Owner of Classic calls the police and reports that I threatened her with that comment. To which the police say that I am very much in the right to post these reviews. So today after 7 months of this project going to another upholsterer, the police call me again to say that the owner still has an issue with me and that she wants them to do something. So this is how Classic deals with issues and customers that do not agree with them.Buyer beware here -
This shop did a great job restoring an old mid century chair. The replaced all the padding, rebuilt the back of the chair, tightened the arms, and replaced the fabric!
Short version:Probably the worst experience I’ve had with a contractor or trade, and I’ve had a lot.Severe lack of technical detail in their work.Blame customers when things don’t get done correctly. Will not stand behind their work.I’ve never been treated so poorly by any business or business owner.Long version:I contacted the owner of the business in January to bid a job to redo all of our cushions on our boat. She provided a quote fairly promptly but if was pretty vague in details that I would expect. But, OK, let’s do this in April. I sent her a deposit for the full cost of the fabric.April comes around and we move our boat to A-town. Fabric isn’t there yet. So, they take some of our cushions and we wait for the fabric. The fabric finally gets there (I’m quite sure they never ordered it until we showed up even though they had our money) after two weeks they finally get going on the job.We got the first set of cushions back and one was sized incorrectly and had a notch cut in the wrong place. We sent it back and they fixed the sizing problem but not the incorrrect cut of the notch (probably because they would have had to make a whole new cushion. Argh!Next we get the rest of our cushions for our dinette and most do not fit well at all. One of workers comes to the boat to see what the problem is. She ‘fixed’ the poorly fitting cushions by adding batting to them - not really a fix for an improperly cut foam cushion. One rounded corner piece was off by 2 “ on both ends. The only way to fix it properly was to redo it.After talking to the owner and being told that I was being unreasonable, she finally agreed to fix it. I’m unreasonable because I don’t want 1-2” gaps in my cushions. We took it back but they didn’t really do anything to fix it, just added some batting. It looks horrible but we had to leave. Also, they couldn’t even talk to us when we came to pick up the cushions. What a horrible, horrible experience. So, I guess we’ll have to find a more competent company to work with which is hard because we live and travel on our boat.I would push this further but life is too short.Classic Upholstery - striving for mediocrity.
The work done by Classic Upholstery is truly amazing. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff make all the difference.
We are pleased with our boat cushions and all went as scheduled.
Man dont know what this last guys talkin bout.Love these gals!Hell one of them waited for me when I was running late and another one even met me on a Saturday. My boat lookin all done up as it did way back when. And at a cost I could pay. Yall always smiling and such sweets. Best idea moving up here on my boat and meetin these fine ladys! These are grade A gals for sure.
Fast and did a great job!
Beautiful job recovering my old chairs.
I have been in the design industry for 24 years, I know how the process works. Beware of Classic Upholstery..... their lack of ability to manage a simple project, pick up the phone to ask a simple question, or follow directions, almost borders on incompetence. They didn’t even have my correct name on my first quote and forgot about one of our appointments. They ordered fabric that we told them TWICE that we had NOT made a final decision on, then charged us half the cost of the fabric for THEIR MISTAKE. A simple phone call or email or taking notes would have solved that issue. After two months they decided they didn’t want to do my job anymore and didn’t bother to let’s us know until we called.Incompetent, incapable, poor communication and unprofessional!!!
Super helpful
