Little attention to detail and even less interest in their customers. They took my down payment and told me theyd get me scheduled soon. Three weeks later I called them wondering when Id be scheduled. I was then scheduled on the spot as if I paid them that day. This delayed my install by over a month. They didnt take into consideration the unevenness of the cement floor and didnt bring the appropriate materials to complete the job without gaps between the door and the floor. There are multiple gaps between the door and the outdoors. The installers told me I could fix it myself in the summer with caulk. I spoke to a gentleman at the shop who summed up my my new door was better than my old door therefore the installation was fine and since the R value is pretty good that the gaps shouldnt matter.I was not going to leave a review until I received a missed call from the shop. I called back and the gentleman who answered dismissively told me that since I didnt know who called him he would have to speak to everyone in the shop including the warehouse to find out who called me.I didnt pay an insubstantial amount of money for this install. I think that due to their increased business this winter Pioneer door has forgotten how to conduct business professionally and courteously.

These guys are great! They had the parts I needed and helped make sure I got the correct springs. They were definitely training new people and busy, but they surely helped me out.

I had Pioneer Door come out when the cable on my garage door broke. What a mess it was! Its all better now and I want to give a huge shout out to Travis who not only repaired my door but also found and repaired a problem with the initial installation. Pioneer is a GREAT company to deal with because everything they told me happened just as they said it would. Thank you Pioneer Door!!!

Used to be the place to get everything garage door related, now their prices are three to four times the standard just for parts, Lowes was faster and cheaper during Covid.

I went around a few times with Pioneer door just trying to get a call back. After about 3 weeks they called me back needing half up front, which I would have provided in the first place if I would have known it was needed. After shopping around, I requested the original quote from Pioneer door stating that I had decided to proceed forward with a different company, and the staff became incredibly rude to us after this.

They did a great job for us!! Professionally installed doors and charged a fair price. Thank you!!

Ron fixed my garage door after my friend backed into it doing major damage. I promised him I would get new doors this summer if he could piece it back together. He did an amazing job!

We ordered a garage door to install at our cabin and as it is out of their installation area. we arranged for my daughter to pick it up and bring it to the cabin. The first day she came to pick it up they said we had never even ordered and paid for a door and she had to go back the next day again after I called and waited on hold to confirm we had indeed bought and paid for a door that she was to pick up. When she went back a second time she was given the wrong size door! When we discovered the mistake and called, we were disconnected multiple times and the sales person John was too busy to take our call so we spoke with Mike, his manager who said it was our fault that the wrong door was given and we would have to drive 4 hours back to Anchorage and then another 4 hours to the cabin as they would not compensate for the mistake at all. They said we should have been able to tell by the packaging that it was the wrong door. ( the only identifying markings was a sticker on the box which did not list the size of the door) Once we finally got the correct size door and installed it the printed directions we were given were not even for the door they gave us and very poorly written. Fortunately you-tube had better directions. We were also missing several nuts and bolts that should have come with the package and had to get more locally to finish installing the door. Very poor service and quality I would never use them again

Pioneer door came over to estimate and measure for a NEW GARAGE DOOR OPENING MOTOR....OVER ONE MONTH AGO....CANNOT SEEM TO GET THEM TO RESPOND TO A QUESTION AS TO AN ESTIMATE TO FIX THE DOOR....I HAVE CALLED AND VISITED....NO RESPONSE FROM PIONEER DOOR. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. I have been doing business with them for about 40 years ...GUESS THAT DOESNT COUNT??????BUD CARESS

Over the past few years I’ve been experiencing my garage doors getting slowly but steadily louder with more rattles. Called Pioneer Door for a service appointment. Their tech Matt was on time, very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to hear my issues and diagnose the problems! I even got a tip on some grease I can apply myself to the rails in between service calls! I don’t have any basis for comparison on price, but what I can say is that the experience, customer service, knowledge, and quieter doors was worth every single penny!!! Would recommend this company and Matt to anyone!!!

We use them a lot, their schedule seems to be packed and getting an appointment doesnt make you feel as a customer, important.

Our garage door started acting up and they were on-site the next day. The repairman Matt was incredibly thorough and informative while he worked. Not only did he get our garage door up and running smoothly, but he looked at all aspects and hardware to make sure it was in the best possible condition. They weren’t out here just to get a fix and hit the road, but to provide the best customer service and I will be going to them when it’s time to replace our door in the future.

Excellent repair service today (7/27/20) by Pioneer. Professional work and a fair price. I highly recommend this company. They replaced my broken torsion spring and made other changes/adjustments to correct an installation not done correctly by another local company.

Very poor communication. Office staff not knowledgeable in products or what they have in stock. If you need a quote they may get back to you within 2 to 3 weeks and tell you it will be 12-16 weeks to order doors. Approaching half a year. Not my fist time dealing with pioneer but definitely my last.

Needed new spring for my garage door. They made them on site while I waited.

Pioneer door has done a great job in the past. When I went to get new door openers yesterday, they had the mandatory sign on the door that masks must be worn inside. Not one of the 5 employees in the front had a mask on, no plexi glass, nothing, you would not known there is a raging pandemic in this city. I am appalled that these people have no respect for their customers. I seriously thought they would.

Made an appointment 4 weeks out for a door install. Now less then a week to go and they have no answers for us if or when they can install our door. We scheduled 4 weeks out so we could take the day off and arrange for the pets to not be home. Hopefully this can get sorted out and I can turn this into a good review but for now we are just disappointed. Update- Things didnt work out and we did not get our door installed but they were very speedy refunding our deposit.

I just want to thank Pioneer Door for the great customer service & going above & beyond. I had a garage door that collapsed on a vehicle for no reason. I called and John sent Jordan out right away. He freed up my car and we were able to secure the door. Then due to the emergent situation they were able to install a new door the next day. I cant thank the great people at Pioneer Door enough for the AWESOME customer service.

I live in the Bristol Bay area. Garage door spring broke Saturday called Pioneer Monday ; they shipped 2 springs Tuesday; arrived (NAC) Thursday afternoon and by midnight i had my door working. We’ve had -18 temps. Nice to have a working garage again. Thanks Pioneer!

Steve rescued me within a few hours after my door had been mangled by a snow plow. He managed to make it useable until new panels had been painted to my specifications. He put together a door as good as new. Conscientious and efficient.

Our spring broke on our garage door with my car inside. They were already booked up but came out with in hours and repaired the door quickly. We are so pleased with the total experience, from the person taking our phone call to the repairman who made the repairs.

What a waste! They came out to fix our door and refused to move the car for my elderly father. They didnt even give time for myself or my husband to move it for them so they could work on it. Then, when an new appt was trying to be set, they stated they might be able to come out the next day, but if not, for sure 2 days from now. So, youre telling me, that I have to move a car out of a non- working garage door somehow, AND that if I could even get the muscle power to open it without power, Id have to leave my stuff outside for potentially 2 days? As if Anchorage doesnt have enough crime as it is?? Yeah, I called American Overhead Door instead, explained the situation and the guy said, No problem, I can move the vehicle for your father! Id call AOD instead, save your time and go with better customer service.

WOW!! They fixed my garage door (busted spring and opener parts) within hours of calling!I came home for lunch around 1:30, hit my garage door opener, the door opened about 2 feet and feel hard. I had lost a spring and that had put strain on the opener and broken another piece inside.I called Pioneer Door about 1:45 and they said they would put me on standby for same day but werent sure someone could make it out.By 5:00 my door was fixed. Awesome service! Im so glad that I called them!

Horrible. They did not install the door properly and missed bolts. Then they charged me for service and parts to coverup damage to the door from the improper install.

Pioneer Door installed a new garage door opener (brain, track, etc.) about a year ago. Last weekend I had to manually close the door and the brain came down. Pioneer Door fastened the brain to the ceiling with 2 bolts into dry wall. They didnt bother to find a stud. Fortunately my car was not in the garage.
