Marvin Woodward has been such a pleasure to work with. He helped us select the perfect home and when things continued to go sideways with the manufacturer time after time (mostly due to material shortages and material price increases), he fought for a solution for us. As someone who works in manufacturing, I don’t think many people understand how many things the home dealership and ultimately salespeople unfortunately cannot control… in fact, in these days and times, there are many things even the home manufacturer cannot control. I am very grateful that we had Marty Wright and Marvin on our side throughout the home buying process in such an unprecedented time. Although some of the process has taken quite a bit longer than expected, we are over the moon with the treatment we have received and would recommend Marty Wright and Marvin to anyone shopping for a manufactured home.I would also like to include that my husband and I went to over 8 different manufactured home lots in the northeast GA area and Marty Wright had BY FAR the best selection and service. We purchased a 4 bed 2 bath Sunshine home and we are very excited to move in once it is delivered and installed.*UPDATE*We were told the home would be delivered around June. Then we were told it would be delivered around August. Now we are going in to week 2 of November with no broken ground or even estimated delivery date. Everything has been pushed back further and further over and over again. I am getting very frustrated with the process. I feel as though we have been put on the back burner.

I want to start off by saying I believe they do have the best intentions of giving great customer service. Office staff is wonderful, our sells rep went above and beyond she even helped us move. We did have some issues in sales but they were corrected promptly! I understand the issues with Covid. We were very patience and understanding when it came to the back up they had delivering and set up. However what does bother me our old trailer they took for trade in has been sitting in our front yard since May, we keep calling and asking when someone will move it, if we get a call back it’s always it’s on the schedule for Friday it will be Monday at the latest. Also it did bother me the construction site wasn’t cleaned up, I don’t think it’s their fault because they use contractor. The contractors they used for plumbing busted pipes and didn’t know so my father in law lost water pressure so we had to call them to come back out. Another contractor they used didn’t put a dryer vent in, we didn’t know until we went to hook the dryer up that took 2 weeks to fix. The air conditioner wasn’t wired correctly and wouldn’t shut off that took the contractors another month to fix. Although it took awhile all issues have been fixed so far. Just wish they would move the trailerUPDATE: the manager called my husband back today, now the trailer will not be moved until someone buys it, due to the lot being full and it will cost them too much money to move it twice! If we were told this before hand we would have sold it ourself! At this point I’m beyond Frustrated!

We closed on our home May 2021. Home arrived to the lot August 6, 2021. We get that everywhere is short-staffed and behind on work, but this is ridiculous. After 2+ weeks of saying the house was being delivered, they finally delivered it September 18. It started raining so they left our house parked on the side of the road, obstructing traffic for 8 days. 8 days until the finally moved it to our property. It’s been on the property since September 26. Now it’s October 29, and we have been waiting for 3 weeks for Sheetrock work on the inside, steps, and brick around the bottom. No one will reply or tell us when they’re coming. If they happen to say a date they will be there, then they no call - no show. This has been a headache. We wish we picked a different sales company. Worst customer service experience. Very tempted to tell them to come and get the home, and start over with a different company or process.

Not very pleased with our first and last visit. Didn’t get to look at hardly anything on the lot. It’s a very unorganized lot. As we were exiting the first thing we looked at, we were asked if we wanted to go to the office and talk about it..?! Drove 2 hours to look around and couldn’t even do that. You can’t look at anything by yourself, you have to have a babysitter walking around with you. We have money to buy, but felt as if we were judged the moment we got there as to what we could afford. Only saw 3 options for housing. Got a price on one out of curiosity and it was ridiculously overpriced. Save yourself the trip and shop elsewhere.

I will start by saying that Kierra was our sales rep and she was amazing. We were able to walk the lot and look at as many homes as we wanted until we found one we liked. We went back inside to talked business and she was very friendly and professionable. We chose our home and it has been downhill ever since. We started this process in March. Our original expected move in date was August. We were supposed to close at the end of May or the beginning of June and did not get to close until September. So that put us not moving in in August. After closing in September we had hoped to be moving in by the end of October. We are now in November and nothing has been done. Our land hasnt been cleared and no home delivered. We dont even have an expected date or time frame. There is no communication. And when I finally call and get an answer its always someone waiting for someone else and try again next week. Their office is about 45 minutes away from me, but I have been driving there to pick up any paperwork or checks needed to bring back to my county for permits, etc. just so I know things will get done at an earlier time and it still hasnt helped the process any. This place seems to be more focused on just selling homes instead of actually completing the full sale and set up.Make sure to read all the reviews before going here. The customer service and selection of homes is great until you actually pick a home and pay money. Then youre placed on the back burner. Very disappointed 😞 We wanted our new home for the holidays but at this rate itll be next year. We have reached out to see what trouble it would be to just get our money back and go somewhere else. If you are in a time crunch I seriously would not choose this business

Kiera has been very helpful with the process that is the reason for the 4 stars but the process itself has been a headache, we were approved in June 2021, it’s October and we still haven’t closed, Between waiting on Dehc to inspect for the sewer and write the permit, then trying to find a contractor, then title company had our file on 8/20/21 but took them to end of September to find out there was a lien on property that had to be cleared, in process of getting that cleared and now waiting on someone else to submit paperwork before we can move to the closing process. Overall I can’t put the blame on Marty Wright Home Sales but my honest opinion is the process itself it a huge headache!! I’d recommend before starting process if you have your own land have a deep title search done and put in for a sewer permit way ahead of finding a home !!

The home buying experience was great! We were guided step by step and felt like part of the “family”. Set up was a breeze. Move in ready process took forever. Didn’t get our home cleaned like it was supposed to be. Moved in March. Still waiting on repairs. Tile coming off in shower. Shingles loose. And a whole notebook page full of other problems and all I can get out of these folks is that we are on the list, and yet to hear back from someone to line up a time to fix the problems! BEWARE

I moved to Pelzer, SC, in January of this year. I have been looking for a home to buy, off and on, since then. Recently, my son-in-law and I went to Anderson, SC, to check out homes there. We drove by (didnt stop) one or two places, but didnt see anything that we liked. My son-in-law told me that he has passed by another place in Anderson, that sells manufactured homes. Thats when we met Kiera Ellison. Right away, we could tell that if anyone could help us to find a home, she would be the one.She was, right from the start, very friendly and helpful. As soon as she learned what I was looking for, she showed us a home. We both liked it a lot, but I felt like it may be priced above my budget. Kiera told us that she would find out the price, and let us know. It was over my budget, so right away she found another home, within my budget, that she felt like I would like. I do like it, and so does my son-in-law, so well be going back in a few days, to discuss this new home with Kiera. We appreciate her help so much!

The employees treat you like family as soon as you walk in the door! They are very friendly and helpful when it comes to showing you each home! They will also explain differences between each home and also help with exactly what you want in your home! Great group of people to work with! This is a great place to purchase a home from. They really care about you and give you that family feeling as you walk through the process. They also help you with your credit. If I could give no stars I would. I gave a big amount of money to John Crosby for a home and land package only for him to never call me or send me a text to let me know how things were going. He told me on a Friday that he would me with me about the property Sunday after church. We text him like 4 different times and no response. Monday at 12:30pm he had still not called or text so I text him and told him I would just take a refund and of course my phone rings with excuses. He said that the property owner had been in and out of the country blah blah blah. Long story short I did get my refund and I also talked to the owner of the property who told me that John would make appointments to meet him at his property and just would not show up. He said this happened several times. I’m not going to do any kind of business with anyone who gets my money and cashes it in 3 days and then puts me on the back burner. All this went on for 2 months with no signing of nothing

Trying to buy a home with Marty Wright ended up costing us money, we lost our land, and wasted over a month and a half trying to deal with this company. We called, texted, and went to the office and Marty Wright refused to communicate with us. They would always tell us that they would return our calls or look into the matter and provide us with an update, and there was zero follow up. I would highly recommend looking at any other company, preferably one that actually cares about their customers.We put a deposit on a home that was on their lot, and they agreed to hold it until we found land. We found land quickly and got it under contract. We already had pre-approval with a lender, and they provided us with their lenders information as well. Their lender was $100 more a month. So, our lender sent them paperwork so that they could work together. We called them multiple times to see where we stood and what we needed to do. Nobody at Marty Wright could give us an answer. We texted the sales rep and stopped by the office on multiple occassions and were advised that they were working on it and that they would talk to Tyler/Heath and they would give us a call with an update. We NEVER received a single phone call from Marty Wright.On one occassion that we stopped by the office after two weeks without receiving any assistance there was a sales rep that was willing to actually help us. Apparently our initial sales rep was now part time and out of the office, but did not give our file to anyone. And the financial people (Scott/Tyler) were not giving us an update either. The new sales rep provided us with paperwork to start to get the property set up so that we could get the ball rolling with a survey and DHEC to get the perc test done. We wasted over two weeks waiting on Marty Wright who was telling us we were just waiting on the financing, but financing could not take place without this other work done first. After four weeks of waiting on Marty Wright to get everything in order with our lender they advised us that they refused to work with our lender because they were not accepting new lenders at this time. If they were not accepting new lenders, why would it take them over four weeks to tell us this.We contacted their lender again and they said we were pre-approved for the amount we wanted, but the home would not get appraised for what Marty Wright was wanting to we could not get the loan.So, not only did Marty Wright take four weeks to tell us that they refused to work with our lender, the only lender that they had that offered the loan type we needed was unable to actually give us the loan for the price of the home.We lost the Earnest Money that we had put down on the land, we lost the land, and over a month and a half of time because of Marty Wright, their lack of communication, and complete disregard for their customers. This was a horrible experience and I would not recommend anyone to use this company.

Several homes on the lot, both single and double wide. Some of the double wides you couldnt get into because there were no steps. Speaking of steps, someone is going to injure themselves how they have some of them set up. They have cinder blocks stacked on top of one another as a step getting into some of them which really made me nervous. No prices listed in any of the homes. Most lots you go to will at least have the base prices set up. None of the homes we DID go in were staged so it was hard to get a feel for some of them. We came from Athens to stop by this dealer as they had good reviews but I was a little disappointed. Staff was nice.
