Nice little store that seems great for those who seek entry in the hobbies. Or those whod like a quicker experience. I went for MTG cards and was satisfied with there binder selection.

I went here hoping to find some gaming stuff, as their website says they carry D&D books. However, they didnt have anything of the sort.The store is small, and well packed with comics and CCGs, but they dont really have anything else.

I lobe Rodman’s comics. It’s a place I can call my comic book home. This is where I primarily go to get my comics and other merchandise of the such. Service is awesome and the comic book selection is pretty wide. They’re very helpful and never judgmental of your choices. Very good prices, too.

Disappointing trip to Rodman Comics last weekend (July 18th 2020) when they were doing an event. I was intrigued to go because of the advertised 20% off Sale, as I wanted to build up some of my series and dig through back issues. However, when I got there, all of the back issues were covered up so that guests could make bids on a couple dozen auction items. If you are wanting to visit this store, I would highly recommend avoiding it during advertised Sales like this - it was a wasted trip for me because of the focus on auctions.

A great local game and comic store with a large assortment of different things. Theres a huge array of different comics, a good sized collection of board games or other gaming supplies, and a wide selection of individual cards for Magic the Gathering. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable too.

Excellent customer service. I am always greeted with a smile. They are happy to help me find any products or do a special order. The games are casual and fellow gamers are friendly. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Rodman comics is a fantastic store. Rod and his employees are always friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend stopping by and getting to know them.

Great comic book store in the Ankeny area. Dont have to drive into Des Moines for the titles that Im looking for. Rod, the owner, is willing to work with me in getting some titles that I dont see in the shop regularly. Feels very friendly when I go in for my weekly stash of comics. It feels more like a comic book store then a franchise.

You should probably change the hours on Google to reflect the hours that are on the sign in the window of your store. that way people like me dont drive a half hour out of their way because Google says the store is open at noon today and then get there and find out the store is open from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Great shop

Price gouges Comics and sells pre orders BEFORE he actually gets books in. This is not a healthy comic industry practice and it reduces the actual fairness of collectors to be able to get their hands on books at fair prices.

Rodman Comics is awesome. They have dice, cards, comics and games. They always help me find what I am looking for and I always find more things that are awesome.

Cool local comic book and collectable shop, family run and operated. Highly suggested to ask for the owner if you have any specific issue related questions. Many of the older collectables line the walls.

This is a great locally owned shop that really cares about the customers. Rod, the owner, is very helpful and will work with you and try to get you whatever it is you need.

I have never been to this store, in fact I have never read a comic! I write this because someone (I’m guessing the owner) was driving a car that had “Rodman Comics” painted on it and they let me over in heavy traffic when no one else (literally no one else) would. If this is how an employee or boss also handles their business practices, I’m a fan and future client if I ever need a comic. Thanks for the small favor.

Came all the way from out of town to get a book just to be told the people there had no idea where the book was. Were not helpful and didnt bother calling someone who may know. Sticking with mayhem comics.

Sell mtg singles at market price, Friday night drafts at 7:15 are extremely casual and great for new players who dont even have a deck yet.

So i checked out the dumpster behind this place to get a feel for the place, looked good so i stopped in. The Rod-Man himself was there in full. He told me i had to leave the water outside. I said its fine and threw it back into the trash where i found it. When i came back i asked so is this a DC place or are my bucks goin to some disney shill? he kinda laughed so i walked in further. I was check out the Action Comics 1000, but he said he ran out. No biggie, ill just finesse a pack for my troubles know what im sayin? Overall, not too bad but certainly not great

Great place. The owner is helpful. Ive played dice masters, heroclix and even the old Star Trek CCG. The staff does what they can to help you and if they dont have it, they can try to order it. And Rodman has been around for close to five years so theyll be here for a while to come.

So I went to the RodMan comics shop and I just wanted to get a green lantern collectors item but it was missing a ring, and then the madman dropped it. I came in a couple days later, he then saw I had a water bottle and kicked me out. Sticking to Mayhem Comics

Every time I go in here I am always greeted with a nice hello! and a smile. This is a nice, local comic book shop that has comic books, some board games, and really any trading card series you could want. They also have things needed to expand your collection including card sleeves, binders, play mats, and sleeved pages. The only thing I dont like about the store is Friday night magic. Some of the people there are a little shady and they dont really have tables, they just put covers over their comic book cases. For Friday night magic, I would refer you to Arkham Games. But for anything else, I would probably choose Rodmans because of their helpful service and knowledge of the things that youre looking for. Not saying that Arkham doesnt do that, but Rodmans does it best.

This store has a minimal stock of DnD merchandise. They have copies of multiple official DnD books and a few 3rd party books, but only a handful of other DnD items. They do have several box sets of Storm Kings Thunder minus. If you want DnD stuff, call ahead. This store isnt bad, but its tiny.
