Normally have a great time and order the egg n burger but yesterday I ordered the 12 chicken wing platter and when it arrived there was noticeably not 12.Told the waitress lady that and she said it had changed to 8. So then we counted the wings and there were only 6. After finding this out, 2 more were ordered to make the order 8. But cmon, had I not said anything, 100% would not have been fixed and would’ve still paid the full price. The wings themselves also were not even warm. They were dry and and flavorless. Felt like they were just reheated and had Buffalo sauce dumped on them. Half of fries were also soaked in the Buffalo sauce and had become soggy.Including a picture.
My girlfriend and I ordered a breakfast delivery through door dash. The order was completely wrong. We ordered french toast, corned beef hash, eggs and a coffee. Instead we received a tuna melt sandwich, fries and a Sprite. The wrong food was tasty. But cold (dasher issue) The receipt was correct. In the future please be aware of the orders that are placed in the bags for delivery. A suggestion; write on the foam containers whats inside w a Sharpie b4 placing in the delivery bag. I guess my former supervisor skills are kicking in. Ive been a commercial driver for years since lol!
Went here last month and I was not impressed! The staff has always been nice but the food was definitely not it! Very disappointed
Great place. Just like an old dinner. Wonderful vanilla shake.
This was our first time at this diner but it wont be our last. I had the fishermans platter and my boyfriend had the crab cake platter. The food was good but I just wished that the crab cake was a little bigger. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves and the customer service was great. Our server was very friendly, attentive and made sure that we had what we needed.
They treat us like family friends. Great neighborhood diner, weve enjoyed the excellent quick service and consistently good food for 20 years. We know several of the staff well and it is always a great experience, particularly Juke Boxs many delicious breakfast choices.
I always come with friends after work, the food Id great. The staff is so friendly (only been at night time) if you looking for a place to hangout with friends and hace a nice meal come to this place 😊 20/10 rating
Always happy with the Diner. Food is consistent and reliable, good diner-style food. Staff is friendly and pretty attentive. You cant go wrong here
Amazing food! I went here during what you would think would be the dinner hour around 4 p.m. just about 5 p.m. and it wasnt very busy only a few tables. The service was great but more importantly the food was the best Ive had in a long time. If Im in the area again and go to DC I definitely want to make this part of my stop.
Good food. Good service.
What a cute little place! We had to use the restroom because the near by stores didn’t let us. We went in here a little worried they would say we couldn’t use it or had to buy something but they greeted us with a smile and pointed to the bathroom. the place was spotless and the food was being cooked right in front of us that I just had to buy something on my way out. We bought a strawberry milkshake and a tea. The employees were so nice and were asking if we wanted something else with out being pushy. I love mom and pop places that continue to be genuine and love to support good customer service any day. The shake was amazing btw. Come and join them I’m sure you will enjoy it.
I loved this little diner!! I was in town with a colleague for work and the Juke Box Diner became our go to place for our meals! The staff is so nice, the food is excellent, and its just a fun little place ! If Im ever working in the area again, I will certainly go there!! You should check it out!
I wish I could leave a more positive review, but I can’t lie and I won’t! My family of 5 are in town for my graduation and chose Juke box for breakfast at 1030am. First impression was a cute place from the exterior! Walked in and had a very brash and unkind greeting from an elderly man in a mask. He was unfriendly to start and that poor attitude we received was throughout the remainder of our short time. After we sat, we had to go hunt for a waiter to get service, which just so happened to be this unhappy man! He takes the order in a disgruntled manner, like we interrupted his Friday! I continued to review the menu as it is so large and he snatched the menu from me as he walked off with our order to never return! After 10 min of us waiting on coffee and other beverages, we decided to leave! There was no need to wait at this point bc not only was my family not welcomed, but we also couldn’t receive what we came for - drinks, food or service! Maybe some of my family was too dark for his liking since everyone else in the restaurant was light like myself! Whatever the reason for this unkind man, there’s never an excuse toGive poor service to anyone when you are in the SERVICE industry! He needs to be behind the scenes, not in the front! Happy Friday
Ive only had breakfast so far here and its always Delicious! The eggs Benedict is so great! The omelettes are perfectly made and they will add whatever you desire! Love the choice of home fries or hash browns or fresh fruit cup!! The pies in the case make my mouth water even at 7:30 am!! I plan on going back for lunch and dinner items after work sometime soon!
The food was good! I had a French toast platter with eggs and sausage and nachos. Good portions. And the service was very good. Very attentive.
Cute atmosphere, fast service. Great burger!
This restaurant is very bad for Asian American, Providing food was delayed a lot when there is no customer. I request Attroney general of Virginia to prosecute this restaurant as Asian hate crimeZero star is proper. Anybody who are Asian Americans,African Americans and European American file complaints to Attorney general office of Virginia or DOJ
A regular place for us. Good service and food.
This a good diner the food good the staff friendly and helpful it clean and does have C- 19 precautions. Can get a bit bussy. I been hear a few times and have always had good service
Thank you for a great meal! The service was excellent and the food yummy.
Great old-fashioned diner.
I had the burger with cheese and it was exactly what you want a Diner to be. A juicy, flavorful, burger with a good bun and gooey melty cheese. The onion rings and fries were excellent; very crispy and not greasy. I cant wait to bring the kids here for brunch!
Had to keep getting up from the table to ask for refills, help etc. They walked by our table multiple times and acted as if we werent there. They told us what we dont need when ordering, and then I ordered their Nutella crepes, and banana and berries crepe to go. Crepes were soggy with oil, fruit was spoiled and Nutella wasnt actually Nutella took one bite out of each of them and threw them away, over $20 spent on trash. Called the next day to place complaint about crepes, and the manager gave me the owners number, I called the owner to explain what happened and he cut me off and asked if he could call back. I said yes cause people are busy. Never got a call back and made multiple attempts to reach out yet again with no luck. I spent $104.09 for terrible service and bad food. Do not go here. I wont be returning.
Fast service; very friendly staff and delicious food. My wife and I often eat here.
Cute place! Big menu, good food, friendly staff
Over-all....its a great diner. The location is clean and the service is great. The servers are attentive and really cordial. The music made me nostalgic and it gave credence to the ambience that I believe it was trying to create. As for the food, its diner food. My kids had the kabob and the alfredo. Though they found it good, they said they had better food somewhere else. I believe my Jukebox Shroomburger was good although the party was a little bland but its nothing that a dash of salt and pepper wont fix. I have never been a big fan of crispy fries but that is not to say its not good.However....their milkshakes are to-die-for. I didnt get a picture because my kids demolished them so quick. The oreo shake was really good. Oh and try the chocolate mousse cake too.In totality, it was a good experience.
Awesome place. Great food, atmosphere and staff. Has a small family restaurant feel and a huge menu.
Ive always had good experiences at Juke Box and Ive been going for 18 years. Today was no different. Fine food; excellent service.
GREATEST BURGER I’VE EVER EATENEdgar was the best waiter, so attentive and fun! I had read reviews that their burgers were better than Five Guys and YES THIS IS TRUE. Everyone at our table tried a different one and was exceedingly happy about them!
Had the plane Jane with cheese. Excellent meal! And very good service!
Poor service. The menu describes certain things that didnt come with the meal. Then the cook came out and argued with 77 year old grandmother about if fries came with the shrimp basket.delicious rueben sandwich. Fries with it were ok. The chips are ok. The nachos are like the movie ones with runny chili.if the menu is wrong use a black marker and strike through the item.the bathroom and floors are sticky. This is a diner and decor is unique and could be fun if they would use a swiffer and replace broken items in ladies room. Not recommended
Good food and service at a decent price. Inside and outside seating.
Such a lovely diner, family owned. The food was surprisingly good and service was excellent.
Cozy atmosphere. Outstanding service. Great menu. Thanks folks!😊
First time and the only draw back the juke box wasnt louder than the interior music box. They rob me for $2 I tipped and the food was awesome and hot. My hostess which was a guy big in stature. He was fast friendly and glade to see our face after dinner. Cool spot in the heart of the food district and I choose them.
A good variety of food.
Always treated like family. Good food. Great variety. Ask for the chicken caesar wrap that isnt on the menu. Enjoy an awesome milkshake!
Great service! Our server was very attentive and my boys absolutely loved the food!
The service was excellent. The food was ok but over priced.
I have lived in Annandale 25 years and this is the first time Ive been in the jukebox diner. I have been missing out. It has amazing vibes of old school diner and the food has a feeling of home-cooked or by your nana. There are lots of variety from breakfast to sandwiches to etc. Definitely a good breakfast brunch place to go. Will be coming back here a lot more to try out lunch or even dinner!
Great food and service. Both breakfast and dinner menus are great!
The most important thing I like about this place is its ambience. It gives you feeling that you are sitting in old-fashioned Diner, which very much reflects in its painting (murals) depicting old era (truly back to 50s). As usual, my public health training in New York always instigate me to look for cleanliness first. I found this place super-clean and, also, the rest room was well maintained. In addition, if you fantasize of being polyglot-tic at any point of time, I would suggest experiencing this eatery, you might end up with broaching up conversation in many languages.I ordered chicken Fajita omelet from breakfast menu. My order was served with French fries, omelet, chicken pieces and one seasoning. It was delicious, divine and ambrosial; Service was quick, and server was friendly and polite. Customers are mostly local White Americans. I had brief conversation with senior lady who has been to venue for more than 15 years. I had Chicken Fajita Omelet many times at IHOP, and I tried it at various locations. There is no as such comparison, both are different in their tastes, and I like both. I also tried steak and egg, steak was super grilled and egg were scrambled, good combo! Even though JBD is a diner, and it has enriched breakfast menu; it is a nice place for Lunch and dinner as well.
UPDATED - issue fixed - last burger was delicious — currently enjoying the chicken kabob dinner - best thing they make - bumped back to five stars- Love the JBD!!!!Previous-.....I have been coming to the JBD for four years on a regular, almost daily basis. I love the service, which is excellent. They always take really good care of me. I would have left five stars, but I absolutely love a good cheeseburger and order this often, but lately the quality of the burgers have declined, IMO, and this is a staple for any restaurant, especially a diner. I hope the management can relook the burgers and invest in higher quality ingredients and preparation. A burger, fries and a coke, with a good tip (always well earned) is almost $20..... for this price you should get a much better burger.... the Silver Diner equivalent costs about the same and is vastly superior in quality and presentation. I am leaving this review in hopes that it might bring about an improvement, as I love this diner and the friendly atmosphere it offers.
Huge portions, great staff and DELICIOUS!
This restaurant needs a deep cleaning!
What a cute place to eat. And the food was delicious! I felt bad because I couldnt finish it all but I would have! It was super tasty, I just cant eat that much!
Its like silver diner but better. I love the appetizer platter, their surf and turf are delicious, and theyve even got the hot brownie with ice cream on top. Theres a lot of variety to be had here, along with great service and great taste.
I just called jukebox diner to place an order at 9:48pm. It is my understanding that they close at ten, but the lady on the phone said it was too late and hung up the phone. Im a manager in food service and sometimes it sucks when people order at the last minute, but you don’t get to refuse someone’s order just because you want to leave early. Terrible customer service.
Prompt, polite service. Good chile... right price. Laid back ambiance.
I have been going to Juke Box off and on for decades. When my Mom was alive, I took her to Juke Box often being her caretaker during most of her nineties. Her favorite sandwich was always their Reuben. Most importantly, their staff was always kind and courteous to my mother. In particular, Ash and his sister catered to my mother and even brought out a cake after our meal singing Happy Birthday as I shared that fact entering the restaurant. This was totally unexpected and appreciated by both my mother and I.The food at Juke Box is always good. On Thanksgiving, they will serve a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner just like home cooked with real, not processed, turkey, including stuffing and all the traditional sides. Desserts are important if you can find the room for it. Pecan Pie was split between me and a friend once after our Thanksgiving Dinner one year. For those who cannot enjoy a Thanksgiving Dinner with family, Juke Box serves a real need in our local community by doing it their way. Frankly, they love and care about their Customers which goes beyond simply giving good Customer Service.Today, I went to Juke Box for my New Years breakfast. My servers were Parv and Janet. I have known Janet for a long time. Before I left, I talked to Oscar, one of the owners. He said they have been in business for over 30 years. Janet, nearby, brought up my mother whom I took there long ago. I told Oscar my current observations of how incredible the service is noting how his servers were busy doing their jobs knowing Customers by name, knowing their circumstances, etc which creates “regulars” because of the extra special personal touch his team provides. The restaurant was busy despite the Covid precautions they must implement and they do a great job protecting their Customers. I read other reviews noting that not everyone is pleased. I then realized how tough the restaurant business can be and with Covid, many went under.Still, many restaurants have survived despite this pandemic. They survived by persistence, perseverance, and adopting the changes required. Juke Box’s personalized Customer Service built their business. Because of this style, they will thrive in the year 2021 and beyond.
Nostalgic 1950s ambiance and music was lovely. Friendly waitress and food was good. My wife had the NY Strip steak which she really enjoyed and veg soup the day was good too. I had battered cod fish sandwich and no complaints. Quaint and good food so cant go wrong for a roadside stop.
Waiter was rude and Kurt towards us. As if he didn’t want to be here. And it showed in his mannerism towards us. I.E snatching the menu out of our hands.
The diner itself is well maintained. Very clean. The atmosphere is overall two thumbs up.Service was pleasant and fast. I went here for breakfast. Was my first time. I had there pancakes, french toast and Day Break breakfast. The food pretty much lacked substance. I would still come here but try either lunch or dinner next time.
Jukebox is the best choice in Annandale neighbourhood. Decent prices, great food, wonderful environment and got plenty of choices on the menu. Love their ‘planeJane medium rare’ my all time favourite. Host ASH is my man, great person, kind and respectful. He will kill you with his great service😀. I recommend this place 100%
Great place in Annandale for all-day breakfast!
1st time at this diner! Had an evening breakfast, was pretty good. Server was pleasant! We would try it again nx time in the area.
Their peanut sundae is soo good.
Very slow, poor customer service! I waited just for sub to more than 30 minutes!
Great service and food. My coffee cup was never empty! ☕☕
Its a lovely place with the nice decor, that brings back the oldtimes. Food is good and staff is very friendly.
This modern gem provides you with ample parking in a pothole strewn somewhat chaotic parkinglot. Once you park and survive the trek to the stairway going to this fine establishment you will be met by a group of smoking asians, all whom have mercadez benz keys on the table next to their soon to be empty packs of ciggs. When you go in try ordering morethan you think you can eat as the portions are small. If you are under 50 you may be asked if you smoke weed. The answer is no. Its always no. From there the food that you ordered 1 min 30sec ago arrives suspiciously fast. Great food, dont like paying 14$ for 2 scrabled eggs and 2 slices of french toast but hey you pay for location
Nice neighborhood diner! Great decorations inside, and some tables outside. We did takeout and loved the breakfast food, chicken tenders, BLT, and turkey sub sandwich.
I wanted to give them a try after seeing a lot of traffic in and out of the restaurant. I order the turkey, mash potatoes and gravy. It wasnt what I thought it would be and I really wanted ti to be something special. They have a bar and lots of choices on the menu. I would suggest using a home made gravy and not whats being used now.
Ive been going here and continue to go to JBD due to its old school style food. I also continue to go because it has outdoor seating.
Never been happier to be wrong! I got the breakfast special thinking it was going to be a small plate that would barely feed me. Out came a heaping pile of eggs and hash browns. The addition of meat is a little expensive but still delicious! Washed it all down with some bottomless coffee and enjoyed the mom and pop atmosphere but with top notch cleanliness. Im definitely coming back.
Always good meals, breakfast and service.
Friendly staff good food. Good service.
Great food, great vibe, great service
Bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries Togo.Didnt even start to eat yet.Ice in my soda had sediment.Pinch of cheese on my cheese friesNo bacon on the cheese fries at all.I asked for another side with no ice and she busted out a spoon to take the ice out of my soda. Cant go back because they are closed. As I went in the whole staff was sitting at a table chillin. Not no moStarted eating it. Im not that picky or do reviews so much, but the burger taste straight disgusting.Dont go there.-Miles
One of my favorite diners! I love the 50s style of the main dining area. My go to is always breakfast but their other stuff is good too. Ive never been disappointed by what I ordered here.
Very nice place to with family and service is great and price are great
My family and I enjoy this place for breakfasts and lunches. The food is good, simple, diner grub. The real jewel is the service and the atmosphere. Staff embody the sort of casual friendliness and ease that make us feel comfortable bringing toddlers and little ones in.
Great atmosphere and very good food. Service was excellent and staff was friendly and very helpful. I had eggs, grits, country fried steak with gravy.
Love this place. Excellent food made with high quality ingredients, great 50s ambience, and the service is fantastic. My husband and I were having a hard time finding a diner we liked and we have finally found our go-to place!
Super nice staff!!!! She was checking our table so often! And very sweet to my kids!! Tasty burgers as well! When we went there was on Tuesday lunch time, the burgers were half priced!!! I don’t know which day they offer the half price, but they have reasonable price to start with!! We will definitely come back!!
BEST BURGER! Edgar was amazing !!
Try the sloppy joe, and the milkshakes. The staff was very nice and at attentive.
Pretty good diner food and nice variety .
Alls I can say... That after 3 meals at place it has been an incredible disappointment! Its decor and music is really great. But until they get a cook that can read the tickets and put out the meal you order and taste good... They will continue to fail and be empty. I even asked them for something simple. Can they make a grilled cheese sandwich? The waitress replied yes you look at the pictures Ive posted and tell me if that looks like anything other than toast with cheese spread on it! Its so sad! Spend your money elsewhere ~V.
This is such a nice restaurant. The staff here are super cool and the food is on point. The prices arent bad and the restaurant is clean.
We celebrated our Mothers Homegoing there. The staff were amazing! They even catered to my husbands food allergies. Thank you.
Great food, good prices, outdoor patio is dog friendly. Traditional diner food as well as more gourmet specialties. Highly recommended.
Great old style diner, they have a very good selection of dishes. Tonight I tried one of there burgers it was excellent, perfectly cooked and served on a toasted Brioche bun. Service is fast and friendly. They lost a star because the fries are just average frozen food service variety.
Enjoyable place to have Breakfast for dinner.Something is up, as theyre even better than before.Recommended for a Diner inside the beltway.
Great food and service. Good prices.
The food is always good. We went there last evening, our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was above their usual fare. I believe they are really trying to improve from the new decor to the quality of food. Kudos Juke box diner!
Excellent food in a friendly atmosphere of a 50s diner. Black and red decor easily match the clean counters and tables. I was in this area for 8 days and I ate there 6 different times. I enjoyed each and every meal, and the Staff was always the best.
Great food at a great price, with friendly service. Nicely decorated in 50s and 60s style.Been back here several times when I have been in town, lunch was nice and they have a really excellent eggs benedict. Menu has a lot of choices.
Great place
Atmosphere is great! I had a patty melt that was very tasty. The diner closes at 11 p.m. but heres the thing; we arrived at 10:45 with a party of four. The manager was welcoming, invited us in and took our orders. We never felt rushed or hurried. Left well past 11 and he was just as friendly as when we arrived. Bonus: food is very affordably priced.
I always go in Jukebox and place a to go order and usually get the Tuna salad platter and its always amazing. My daughter wanted the Chicken finger dinner with fries. This time the tuna platter was not good at all and it wasn’t the usual side either. They put mostly old end pieces of lettuce and bad tomato slices and half the tuna and slaw that they usually serve, My daughter said the chicken fingers were good but the fries were old. Very disappointed and I always tip 20 to 25 percent.
