Had a real nightmare painting a dining room ceiling. Used another well-known brand I have used on other projects (and even selected their top of the line premium paint for this project), but this time the outcome was a disaster.At first, the paint went on okay but became sticky within a short time when I tried to roll into it from the next area I was painting, creating a very rough surface.I gave it a second coat--even worse results. So wound up spending four hours to sand the entire ceiling.At the recommendation of a professional home renovation friend, I went to the local Sherwin Williams in Annandale, VA to purchase their Pro Mar flat white ceiling paint.The reason for this review is two fold:First, the paint worked great. I did apply two coats just because they were needed to finally settle the ceiling to a uniform finish.But the second, and equally important, is to recognize Austin the sales rep who assisted me. His customer service was superb.Because I do a lot of home improvement work myself, he gave me the courtesy of professional pricing. Plus, when I needed an additional gallon for the second painting of the ceiling, his store was out of the product, and without my asking he took it on himself to call another store where he was able to locate the product I needed.So, to anyone needing paint, check out Sherwin Williams, and if you are anywhere near Annandale, VA go to see Austin.!!!!

W O W !!! This Sherwin Williams store is amazing ! So is the Ashburn Sherwin Williams store. Because of the paint storage, I was communicating with Marcelo Daza SW Ashburn a couple times a week to see if my type of paint was available. Marceo was very kind to inform me that SW Annadale had my paint. Great customer service Marcelo, thank you! When I called an enthusatic Shane answered the phone at SW Annadale and he was quick to save me my 2 gallons until I could get there several days later.. I called the morning I was headed to the store and when I arrived, the paint was already mixed and ready to go. I was in the store not 10 minutes. Shane even offered to carry the paint to my car for me. I am 72 years young. Thank you Shane it was a pleasure doing business with you!

The customer service at this location is stellar! I was helped promptly and the rep who supported me was confident in recommending certain paint types and colors.Lastly, this store is very clean and open. I highly recommend you visit in person if you are deciding between colors.

Went to a different SW location first and the staff couldnt figure out how to solve in my issue properly. I then went to this location to see if they could help. I had an awesome experience with Pedro. He kept adding colors till he could get it as close as possible to the original sample. He really nailed my color match. I painted the area of concern when I got home which ended up exceeding my exceptions .Pedro truly went above and beyond to make my experience here a pleasurable one. He was kind, courteous, explained everything in great detail and answered all my questions. Thanks again Pedro!

These guys are so nice and very patient. I was back and forth on a color and they were very helpful! Needed a special paint for vinyl shutters, they did a great job matching what I wanted.

They were out of at least 25 color swatches, the color chart area was dusty and disorganized & the employees were not helpful at all. When I asked if there was any way to get a swatch, he just shrugged and then rudely told me to “go to another store.” Don’t worry, I will! The Sherwin-Williams in Fairfax has great customer service! This one — STAY AWAY.

Been a shopper here for many years (even when it was Duron) and chose this location over others in the area even though not as convenient.
