This is a pretty cool place in Annapolis. I was working with a builder to build a new home, and they sent me here to pick out some windows. Its a locally owned company, which I love. I spoke to the owners directly. Thy showed me all my options and helped us pick out the perfect window for our needs. I cant recommend this place enough!
Special ordered a kolbe replacement window manufactured in 1990 so that I didnt have to replace the remaining windows the one in the shade was the only one rotted. Price was a little bit high but not surprising given a custom order. Took about 6 weeks but Windows came in today have not installed yet but they look to be exactly a match of the ones original to the house.
We had a great experience with Tom Davey at AWS. We very much wanted a contemporary window product and he worked with us over weeks to quote and revise various options to get us the look and price that we wanted. In the end, we chose to go with a more economical product, but that was just budget based. Tom got his numbers down significantly to help us and was a pleasure to work with the entire time.
My wife and I ordered a fiberglass door from Archwin in Annapolis specifically because we needed a nice door in a hurry. Valerie assured us that the door we selected was a quick ship item and wed have it in a couple weeks. Every updated timeline that was provided was off by weeks. The door ended up taking 6 weeks to arrive due to several problems, which delayed our renovation project and cost us a significant amount in contractor rework time. Archwin often did not return phone calls or provide updates when needed. Archwin refunded a portion of the shipping charges, but this was not adequate to cover the cost we incurred because of their delay. If you buy from them, be sure you have ample extra time beyond whatever they promise.
