Best fresh bakery, meat market and produce. Limited selection in center aisles but they contain the best ingredients (healthy and not processed). The Friday dinner specials are great value and please everyone from our 9 year old to the 74 year old.

I love this store for higher quality groceries. It is similar to a Whole Foods or Bristol Farms. Everything is fresh. This is where you go to find those harder to find quality ingredients for a gourmet meal. Yes, everything is more expensive here, so dont expect Safeway prices. Just expect high quality selections of food.

First time in store after 2 years in Naptown. Called ahead to see if store had fresh herbs in stock. Rather than getting some junior person at the front desk, they routed my call directly to the produce manager who told me, we only have one fresh Tyme left. I rushed over and bought what I needed. I took a few minutes to walk around the store. Great place for high end food and hard to find quality items. Employees all seemed happy to be working there. A very pleasant shopping experience!

Fresh Market is a great little grocery store. It has specials on different days of the week that allow you to save on meats, seafood, and prepped meals. Their butchers are phenomenal as are the deli folks. Their fruits and veggies are mostly organic so they cost a bit more. I do not do all of my shopping here, but for deals on meat and seafood, or when I need a prepped meal, this is where I go.

I like this location, they are just small enough to get to everything easily, very helpful and they are nicer on the produce selection than others.

They go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for.

Our turkey dinner was fantastic! Homemade sides. Turkey was perfect. They were wonderful to work with. Our first experience, with many more to follow!

Imagine my surprise to have my every move monitored by a young man, who was so preoccupied with categorizing me as a potential shoplifter - that he never bothered to ask if I needed any help - during the entire visit.I was there for 20 minutes, nary a hello from him.I am a customer - or was.Ill take my business elsewhere.This is indicative of a larger problem that Ill expand on in a larger feature on how to lose a longstanding customer to my readership.I will not spend my money where I am not respected, ever.Now the cashier, Diane... She was a joy, the only bright spot, why?She spoke and engaged, imagine that?

I was a bit disappointed when I picked up my turkey on Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I ordered it and was told it would be fresh but did not realize it was 1/2 frozen until I got home. That is not idea of fresh but glad I got it early enough to thaw. Will be more aware next year where ever I buy.

I only shop here on special occasions, we ordered our Christmas dinner here, a very valuable service when you need it. The Bakery is very nice as well.

Out of stock AGAIN on 10 of 15 items. And the packaged bread ALWAYS expired. So much for “fresh”.

Visited 08/09/20 at 4:55pm. Your cashier, Ki’Jay, has 0 customer service skills and needs to be either fired or properly retrained. Walked up to his station, he was too busy in conversation with his coworker to even greet us. While checking us out, still yelling across his shoulder to his coworker in deep conversation. When the receipt printed out, he didn’t even bother handing it to me, and just said “take your receipt.” Fresh Market-Annapolis, is This how you treat your valuable customers? Your incompetent and dismissive staff member, Ki’Jay, has ruined my entire experience with this store and I will not return.

This was the first time I had been there. I basically was just browsing. I did find one thing that I did buy. On the whole its very similar to Whole Foods which is just about three or four blocks away. Parking at Fresh Market was fairly easy. Check out was also easy. Coming from as far away as I do the Whole Foods is a better bet for me. For those local Fresh Market is probably superb. I did see people eating outside at a covered patio that has tables and chairs. Very friendly atmosphere

I’m a regular shopper but find that some items tend to go off quickly when I buy here. (Ex. shredded cheese or fruit.) And the prices are high. I had to tell two people that work there that I saw a mouse inside before I got what I thought was the appropriate level of concern.

I have been shopping at our Annapolis Fresh Market since the day it opened. I buy most of my meat here and have experienced only top notch service and care by the butchers. i basically shop the entire store. I love the higher quality unique product lines. So refreshing to NOT have the same old stuff.Shopping at Fresh Market is far more personal and a super pleasant experience. Every line they carry is of better quality than the run-of-the-mill chain stores - which i loathe.Of course it is not as cheap as the chains, and do not expect it to be like the chains. things are a bit slower here, more peaceful and charming. Go for the quality(!) Go for the special products, for for the meat. If all you want is middle of the road cheap stuff do not bother.Fresh Market is better than all the chains put together and just slightly down a notch from Whole Foods. But the small size and intimate feel, and high quality meats, produce and packaged goods cannot be beat. A truly refreshing experience!

As always the fresh market is an enjoyable experience. It is an upscale Wegmans with a smaller footprint. It reminds me of Balducci in Northern VA.The selection is limited, but excellent.I can recommend everything I have tried. Sandwiches, bread salads, prepared meals fresh soup, cheeses, fish, crabcakes, and especially the desserts.The best place to get groceries in Annapolis.

I used to love going to the store, is so convenient being next to Starbucks. However a few years ago when it got taken over by another company it has gone downhill. Theres a never ending rotation of employees many of whom seem clueless. Theres a few old-timers left that still know how to treat customers and get things done, but mostly you see a constant revolving door on the checkout counters and the deli is a joke. Other things - the soup bar used to be nice and clean and had a Plexiglas cover over the top for people to peer into the container of the soup. Now the soup bar is constantly of mess, soup splashed everywhere, the plastic barriers gone and people stand over the soup stirring with God knows what kind of hair and nose hair falling into the soup. All the made-to-order sandwiches are gone, and the pre -made ones are so so. FM used to have really good ribs and chicken wings, now they say they only have ribs on the weekend which half the time is not the case. The chicken wings are dried up and desiccated all the time as are the whole chickens. The raw chicken in the meat case is constantly floating in water, which has to be a nightmare for bacterial growth. In short, while there are many good brands and specialty items in the store, since the takeover most of the little amenities we all really enjoyed have gone downhill. And yes I have tried mentioning this to management and I get polite smiles. Its obviously about the bottom line for corporate who are clueless. No doubt they think their increasing profits by getting rid of so many of the amenities and loyal employees and employees perked like a day off on their birthday, but the reality is theyre driving long time loyal customers like me to Whole Foods. They are forgetting the basics of merchandising which is sometimes the loss leader merchandise and amenities are what draw people into the store to buy. Its really quite a shame and I feel sorry for the employees that remain.

The store is gorgeous just need an attitude adjustment. I know it is closing time but I just spent 100 dollars on 6 items and I get an ungrateful attitude! There are plenty of other places to shop! You keep saying your sorry on your reviews but obviously you do not care. Customer service sucks! You better start firing some of your employees so they know you mean business.

My favorite grocery store! It has fresh food, but you also can get normal product here as well so that youre not having to hit two or three stores just to get all of your groceries. Its always peaceful in there, unlike the frenzy at Whole Foods or the grind at Giant, during peak hours.

This used to be one of my favorite stores, everyone went out of their way to be helpful. Over the last12 to 18 months customers service has fallen. I personally will not be back soon. Just bring back your customer service

I called twice today around 11:30am then again around 12pm on both calls I was transferred to the Meat department which was who I had originally wanted to speak to but for both calls no one ever picked up. I had wanted to ask if ground pork was available because yesterday I physically went to the store but it wasnt available. So I tried calling today but wasnt able to speak to anyone...I still didnt get to purchase the ground pork.: (

Fresh fruits and vegetables, fantastic selection of meats, and you will find a lot of brands that arent as wide spread but is still a good quality. I like buying the different flavored drinks and trying pretty much anything new. The employees are very helpful and the style is always well stocked.

The Fresh Market is a great market if youre looking for high quality food with some variety. They offer pretty much any kind of specialty item and items for folks with specific diet needs. I have not met one employee who wasnt nice and engaging and parking is never an issue.

If you are coming to get a few specialty items its fine, otherwise the prices are ridiculous (same product are substantially less at other stores) even worse than Whole Foods and there is no customer service to speak of. For the cost of shopping there, Fresh Market should be serving martinis, giving you back rubs while you shop, and helping you unload your cart at your car.

I love that this store is here in Annapolis. They have items Giant, Whole Foods and Sams Club do not offer. They have a fabulous selection of spices, rubs, Asian foods and sauces/condiments.They also have an amazing bakery, butcher shop and produce department.They actually have chicken pieces behind the counter and you can buy it by the pound - you know, sort of like the old butcher shops.I bought my 86 year old mother a birthday cake from here last year. It was a chocolate type cake only available behind the counter. She still talks about it today as the best cake shes ever had.The deli counter is awesome...great chicken salad and coleslaw. They have specials daily - meal deals - where you can get a full pre-selected meal and all you need to do is cook it.Some items may be cheaper at Whole Foods, but you can point that out to the manager and maybe they will match the price....just maybe.

Good fresh vegetables and fruit. Some of the items are organic which is great. They also have a nice selection of bouquets that are reasonably priced. I decided to try a sandwhich from the deli and while I was standing there waiting I noticed a smell of not so fresh food. It could have been something that spilled on the floor and didnt get cleaned up right away, or the case where the salads and sandwiches are kept needed a good cleaning. But it is the 2nd time Ive been turned off by the look and smell coming from that area.

We ordered their continental breakfast trays and fruit trays for a work function and they were fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Everyone was very impressed! The staff was great to work with and really pleasant (hard to find that combo these days). I would highly recommend them!

The Fresh Market??? Perhaps if the lighting was less zen, they would be able to see expiration dates. Bought an expensive bag of chips that was already 1 month expired.

Requires you to wear face masks into the store but yet doesnt provide them for you. I find it to be very unprofessional and quite rude.I personally am of the belief that a face mask is not going to keep you from dying or from getting sick if youre going to get sick youre going to get sick face mask or not.

I like The Fresh Market very much and actually frequent two of them, this one in Annapolis MD (close to where I live) and the one in Rehoboth Beach, DE, where I own a second home. Last Thursday (May 18th) I purchased a number of items from the Annapolis store, including a 64 oz. bottle of Organic Black Tea. That evening I drank about one-third of the bottle. Later that evening I developed abdominal cramps and spent the night with diarrhea. My wife did not get ill. The ONLY difference in our diets that day was the ice tea from Fresh Market. The next morning I checked the expiration date on the bottle of ice tea and it was Feb. 21, 2017 - THREE MONTHS prior to my purchasing it. I did an Internet search and sure enough a lot of comments about bacterial growth in ice tea, even in bottles never opened, and the importance of drinking it prior to the expiration date. I called the store to have the bottles removed so no one else would get ill. I spoke with the store manager. He was very apologetic and assured me that the next time I was in the store they would refund the cost of the ice tea (doesnt that go without saying!). I write this review to caution all others to check the expiration dates. One can argue that I should have done it myself but I would have thought that at a store of the quality of Fresh Market that they would ensure that they were selling only the highest quality items.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The customer service is shameful. The cashier was incapable of both scanning and bagging groceries. After the rude interaction, she actually shoved the cart at me. When I reported it the manager, he could care less. Neither the cashier or manager apologized. I will never shop here again.

My favorite part of your store is the customer service your team gives. When Im looking lost and someone from your management team looks up from a casual exchange with an associate, only to look away and ignore me....nothing makes me feel better.I will not be shopping at your store again.
