This store NEVER fails to DISAPPOINT! Never ever enough enough staff. Why advertise 3s a crowd when it means nothing! No less than seven, (yes, 7) people standing in every line! Not one person called for help. It took me just a few minutes to get all my shopping done, but 25 minutes to check out. Seriously ridiculous!!!

Always efficient and courteous.Prices are competitive. They have bakery items not found at other groceries.

Prices a little high but its better then China-Mart.

Good grocery store. Nice neighborhood feel. Only issue I have is the prices. I usually go to another brand of grocery store but went out on a limb today and payed about 20% more than usual on the same amount of food. 😭

The store is under staffed. You have to wait in line to go through check out. One checker, and she has to bag the groceries.The experience goes down hill at the door. The curb appeal is terrible. Dead bugs all over the place, especially around the entry doors. Garbage all over the place outside by Pop machines. I dont think they ever clean around or under them. I avoid going there. Go to Bashas or Frys if you want a good experience. Just saying.

Finally, a store with some affordable food. Besides this store the circle ks and a couple dollar stores, these little desert towns rob a traveler trying to quench his guts and spirits. And fresh fruit, hella sweet!

I have to say, Safeway has the best sales prices in the valley, but if I EVER have to go to this one I cringe. The meat department is always only about 1/4 stocked. The produce always looks old, the sales items are rarely in stock. I go all the way to Signal Butte as it is a wonderful, clean store and they are always stocked to the gills. I know nothing about the pharmacy, but I have looked d’or a decent one with high marks in AJ and have yet to find one. If you like a Pharmacy in town, please let me know!

Prices A bit more than the kroger store. Nice open isles. Nice staff.

Its a nice clean store the deli person was very pleasant and very helpful. The salads that i got were very tasty. I got the fruit sald and the chicken Chinese salad.

Very clean and fancy displays, Whole store I was impressed with. Staff is so friendly and engaging always opening new lanes at any sight of backup! Thats worth its weight in gold and crackers!

Ssfeway/Albertsons customer service is exceptional. Selection and quality are as good as any in their segment along with availability of product. Pricing is competitive although can be a little high in some areas. The clincher for me is their weekly sales and the user friendly app. Kroger/Frys app is definitely not endearing anyone I know towards their offerings.

This store is very clean except for the pharmacy area. There were flies everywhere. It was strange that this was the only place in the store that had them. Everyone was friendly and we were able to buy what we needed.

Isabella was a great cashier. She was friendly, fast and knew when to call for 3s a crowd as her line grew. Shes been my cashier on multiple occasions and is always in a positive mood it seems. Store was clean and organized. Not always the best deals in town but I hate Walmart. Thanks again guys!

These stores are pricey compared to Walmart. And like Walmart the associates are not friendly or helpful. Most give you the attitude of your inconveniencing them

Stop the Monopoly of Walmart. Visit other grocers. Safeway is a good clean store, not as low prices as Walmarts but the service is more personal, and thats worth something in my book!

Love this store. Produce selection is always fresh and plentiful. New Butcher counter is great. Bakery is a bit small, but quality is great! Items baked on site. Hot fresh fried chicken all day at a great price!

The store is in a good location- ish. Near a 99 cent only and Sunshine Acres. Its pretty clean, not one employee wearing a mask . Not one I saw anyway. A little skeptical how sanitary and safe this location is.

The store was very clean and well-maintained. The sale prices were awesome! With the buy one, get two free meat sale, I got 12 sirloin steaks for $28. Overall, I bought $389 worth of groceries for $212!

The store was very clean and well stalked. I did not however see anybody wiping down carts I believe that must be at our own discretion doesnt hurt just a double wipe

Im not sure what is about a Safeway store, but we dont get along. This last time was no exception. I went in looking for regular grits and couldnt find any. I went to customer service (since I couldnt find an employer) and asked. The young man behind the counter thought I was saying Ritz and told me they were in the cracker aisle. I told him that I was looking for G-R-I-T-S. He looked at me like I was an alien and apparently he wouldnt treat an alien very well. He rudely told me to check an aisle (Id already checked that aisle) and was going done. He didnt offer to call someone to help me. It seems that Safeway is either out of what I need or their staff is absent or rude. Im once again convinced to steer clear of Safeway stores.

MAGAS harass you if youre wearing a mask. Manager supports the harassment of customers wearing masks. I was confronted by an anti-vaxer who blocked my path. The manager asked me why I was in his way. I was in line trying to check out. If you dont want to wear a mask and want COVID-19 shop at this store.

I shop at Safeway and I use the Pharmacy because its convenient. I get my meds there and every time I get in line its a painful long wait. Today I went to pick up a prescription and I was the only one in line and there was 3 people behind the counter. Im standing almost in front of the pharmacist who is facing me not 6 feet from me at a computer and ignoring me. The other 2 people were at the drop off counter several feet down facing out also. I dont get it. Are we doing them a favor by using their pharmacy? I asked about a covid shot but then realized who I was dealing with and went home and booked an appointment with Walgreens. I dislike Walgreens more than the Safeway pharmacy.This is not the first time this has happened. Its more the norm there.

Great selection & surprisingly less expensive than Frys or Walmart! Usually I avoid Safeway, bit this one really does cater to quality & pad the savings for some very select items.. they carry fresh, closed oysters, awesome fresh cookies from bakeryn great seafood selection (watch out for the Swai fish suddenly flooding the market its not safe to eat from anywhere) had calamari packets frozen.. very inexpensive meat! Organic produce selection reasonably priced.

Excellent customer service. Very refreshing. Clean and attractive presentations throughout the store. Excellent salad selections in the deli. Giving flu shots today. My husband & I got ours by the pharmacist. Practically painless. On a 0 to 10 scale I would give this store a 10+ for todays visit. We left with great salads, happy and immunized against the flu.

I want to share a most wonderful experience I had at the Safeway on Power and Mc Kellips in Mesa,AZ. The customer service specialist whose name was Christina showed me outstanding qualities that she possesses. First of she showed a genuine caring concern for the reason I sought her out. She resolved it quickly and with a sweet smile and thank you for bringing it to her attention. She also came by at the self check out assuring all went well there too!!!👍

Ive said it before, you just cannot beat the superior customer service at this grocery store. Derek the manager always always always goes above and beyond the normal standard of other stores.

We shop at Safeway all the time from NH to Arizona. This time I felt like I was being watched in the self checkout by 2 clerks in Apache Junction, AR. Prices were higher than most Safeways. Try Frys, thats were were going next.

I have been a customer here for decades. The quality of customer service is gone! Ive left an email about 1 month ago and never received any response. Today I bought some chicken and it was rotten. I called to see what the process was and got hung up on. So disappointed!!! No longer a customer

Long lines, almost every day at the busiest time, cant seem to plan accordingly. But great prices and friendly, helpful staff.

Nice employees. Clean. Had most stuff but it is a hot bed for snow birds. Fast lines, however I think they need more cashiers open, especially on the weekends.

Ive got multiple food allergies and they seemed to have lots of stuff I can eat. Theyve got some bingo type game going on. I dont get it yet, but Ill spend some time with it soon enough. Seems to be a great value for much of the food, too.

I like Safeway cuz I can find anything there the vegetables are awesome and the roses are nice but the biggest plus they have cashiers that are very very nice

The pharmacy is super slow and lacks communication when your medication is ready. Also, the past 2 times, my Dr sent them prescriptions and I had to call the next day to find they hadnt checked their incoming prescriptions! So, more waiting. Ive gone in and just need my medicine and 1 or 2 other items and I was refused checkout at the pharmacy for my 2 items. The lines are long since they need cashiers and have no self- checkouts. I told the store manager, with my 2 products in hand, the Pharmacy refused to check me out. He checked me out and was not happy with this complaint. He spoke to the pharmacy, but; it happened again! Seriously want to find a more accommodating pharmacy; especially since I rarely grocery shop there. I moved and changed Safeway pharmacies; the difference in the 2 is polar opposites. What is so hard about doing your job in a timely manner, and with some friendly customer service? Sad and bad for the entire stores shopping appeal. Shameful. Id take a job position and show them how it should be; plenty of experience for 20 yrs...

I like Safeway because it isnt a huge store and they dont keep moving groceries around. I understand they have too at times. The prices are pretty fair for what I buy but it may not be for someone else. They are friendly and helpful too.

A little pricier than most but very good selection.

This is a smaller Safeway in the cozy town of AJ. Greeters were friendly and what I especially liked is just how not crowded it was. Go to any other Safeway and it will be super packed. Only saw like 3 cars parked there when I went on a weekday evening. I was able to get in and out pretty quick.Only thing is since theyre smaller, selection of foods is not as expansive as the other Safeways out there. :)

Honestly, Ive been going here since I was a kid and it always brings me happy vibes to go back. Its a good alternative to the Frys in AJ when it gets too crowded.The staff here are nice and cashiers friendly with my mom and remember her name because shes gone there for so long.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO INTO THIS SAFEWAY.The parking lot is a complete joke. There still isnt any self checkout. This is 2020. We had to stand in lines for over 25 minutes. This is the holidays. I have things to do. Not stand in line at an ancient store.

I love the majority of the employees here... One of the ladies that works in the deli was just so much fun... Shes very great with customers.. shell have you laughing or smiling as you walk away... She also made sure I got the best prices... Customer service there is a wonderful thing... I love the lady thats short with brown hair that does customer service... She goes out of her way to be fast very helpful and still have a fabulous attitude towards her customers.... Great store.. come on in, theyll treat you like family...

Its a grocery store and I bought groceries

No matter where we might buy groceries, we always return to Safeway. They have the best fresh fruit and vegetables. Always buy our produce there as well as finding good deals while were there.

Transplant from Oregon. I prefer the Safeways up north! Although the meat cutter guy was EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND WILLING! I DID NOT CARE FOR STORE CONDITIONS. Need a SERIOUS REMODEL!

Produce here is better than other Safeway stores. They dont get as many seasonal items compared to other stores. Its in the City of AJ where there isnt a mask requirement, the store has a sign but no one cares or says anything if you dont wear a mask.
