I love this shop! They taught me how to knit 4.5 years ago and I’m still knitting there. They held my hand through knitting my first sweater and it was a success! They are so nice and helpful. More importantly than that, throughout the pandemic they have kept their clients safe by requiring masks in the shop and providing curbside shopping.

What a lovely little craft store :D Great for crafters of all ability levels - fun and attractive kits for those who are interested in picking up a new craft, but also many materials for more advanced crafters. They do stock some gorgeous fabrics for garments, although not a huge selection. Lots of patterns from indie pattern designers in a variety of sizes and styles.Great place for the experienced crafter to gathering materials, gifts for the crafty friend of yours, or to try and learn something new.

This is an awesome store with a great selection and friendly staff. There are usually some people in knitting and i have always found it to be a welcoming environment. The sewing annex has great supplies and class listinga online as well. Highly recommend.

Very nice shop. Has a room for yarn and another one for fabric. The people were very welcoming. Yarn selection is very slim, but great quality.

Beautiful open spaces, lots to look at, finished products as well as a wide mix of yarn. In the back is a knitting area that has a full and comfortable view of the whole store without feeling like the visitors are on display. I spent a good half hour picking out my yarn and they wound up my cakes for me without a minimum. A wonderful time spent with no buyers remorse. Also, the store keeper reads Franklin Habit which makes my day.

I moved to this area March 2018 and found this gem by googling yarn shops near me. It is a treasure for quality yarn, great help, knitting with others, etc. Rachel fixed the angora beard of Santas face of my 1957 Christmas stocking my mom had made me. Mice had chewed the angora and I was at a loss on how to fix it. This retired Home Ec teacher gives this place an A+++

Ive been going here for several years so my opinion has evolved over time and many visits. Both the variety of yarn and the knitting expertise of the staff are amazing and now they have added fabrics and sewing classes. They have an assortment of classic patterns with an updated look and which are not available in the big box stores. What a great and needed addition to down town Apex. It is refreshing to support a local establishment who have quality merchandise and whose staff values your business and always has time for you. Love this place!

I moved to Holly Springs, NC 9 years ago and being an avid knitter sought out local yarn shops in the area. A few years after I moved Downtown Knits opened in Apex and I have to say I feel that this has become my second home. I cant describe how welcoming the owner Michele and other staff have made me feel and what a wonderful selection of yarns, accessories, patterns fabric and other notions are available. There are many classes to learn new skills with very knowledgeable instructors.If you stop by the shop and just want to hang out or need some assistance with a project or just want to enjoy conversation with other knitters you are always welcome to join the group in the cozy sitting area!

I love this store for when Im looking for a special blend or lighter weight fabric. Owner and team always pleasant and helpful. Also I like the warm, peaceful vibe of the store.

The owner and staff are super helpful and nice. I have seen a slightly better selection of yarn elsewhere but because the atmosphere and employees are so nice, I prefer this store and drive 25 minutes to go there. I would definitely recommend this store.
