We used Big apple to have our Toy Hauler Breaks and Lights inspected. We made an appointment and that worked out great. These guys were great, they were detailed on what they were going to do and how much it would cost and how long it would take. The job was going to take a few hours so we had to hang out there for awhile. They made us feel very welcome and even offered us lunch (who does that these days)right!! They also have the cleanest shop I have ever been in and a restroom that was nicer than ours LOL. The best part was FREE DONUTS !!! I will be backRuben

Big Apple has worked on every one of my vehicles and I have found that they always do the best job they can. They have never missed the mark on the repairs. They have always treated me like a valued customer and friend. I have recommended them to both family and friends with the full confidence that they will be satisfied with the work and staff. As to staff - they are friendly and professional. They guarantee their work. They have never let me down!

I cannot say enough good things about the few visits Ive had here. I brought a prius in and at the end of the day, the fix was just more than I was able to pay at the time. When I called to let them know Id be hiring a tow to come get it, they offered to bring it to my house. FOR FREE. During the time they were diagnosing the car, they were super communicative and extremely friendly. Fast forward about a week and an O2 sensor goes out on my truck. Long story short, I had the part, the tools and everything to do it but could not get the sensor out. I was not happy about calling because I knew Id be paying someone to do something I should be able to do. They told me to drop it the next day by 2 and theyd finish it by closing (5pm). I dropped it and they had it done by 330. When I got dropped off to pick it up, Jeremy walked me out, explained how difficult it was and then tossed me my keys. You dont owe me anything. I think he could tell that I was at wits end and was more inclined to earn a customer for life than a few quick bucks. Well he got it. These guys are amazing!

Great place to go to get your car worked on. Fixed my brake issue, gave me the correct information on what was wrong and when they identified a further issue, they didnt try and hornswoggle me into more work or charge me an unfair price. Definitely would return.

I called 17 shops. The situation that I had going on with my vehicle was very easy I just needed somebody to look at it and pointed in the right direction. Every single person said I have to set appointment for months out. I called this place and then five minutes they told me to come by let’s see if we can help you. We are swamped but we will do our best. Highly recommended

I made an appointment to have the oil changed in my 2004 Armada, they got me in within a few days. When I arrived, they had many local sheriffs vehicles being serviced there-so I assumed they would be trustworthy. They greeted me when I walked in and were quick and attentive to get my info. It didnt take longer than about 40 minutes to change the oil. They also topped off fluids and aired up my tires. I knew they would come back with a list of things they could fix... And yes they did. They were not pushy about it and explained everything clearly. The print out they gave me was very helpful in identifying things that were physically checked and things that were listed just due to the mileage of my vehicle. I had broken motor mount that I wasnt aware of, and Im grateful they found it and told me about it.I felt comfortable in their office and with their service, even though I was brand new. They treated me and my vehicle well.

Our family has had 3 cars services here over the last several years. The employees are all knowledgeable, professional & friendly. They have stand behind their work. For example, I had a problem with one of the tires I purchased & it was replaced with no problem. There may have been more services performed on the 3 vehicles than are listed above. The best thing to me is that they listen to problems & provide solutions.

These people were rude to me. And when my daughter in law (who is white came in there to get the family car. They treated her like a queen. I couldnt even get my disability placer from them for my other car. When we paid and got our car out. It was junked up so bad. My daughter in law photos from the glove box were all over the seats. This moment passed as well only because God played his hand well with providing the three fees needed to get the car out. This shop gives you the run around by not accepting credit cards. Only debit or cash. Not my idea spot.

Tried to charge me $3500 and refused to do my oil change. Took it to another shop to get a 2nd opinion. Turns out I did not need to drop my engine, I just had no oil in my car. Only needed a oil change.

I brought my car in for an oil change. The ladies at the front Dess were very professional. My car was serviced immediately upon my arrival and the quality of the service was excellent. Hot coffee and fresh donuts was a nice surprise. I don’t believe I have ever been in a cleaner automotive store before this experience. My new favorite!

Edit: Inspection fee was $159 not $149. Higher than BMW ($135). Makes the Ford dealership or other local shops look like an even better bargain.Review: My 2008 Navigator had some 4x4 issues and I took it here for an estimate. Front hubs were not engaging and making a grinding noise. Obviously needed to be replaced. I was charged $149 for an inspection fee which they said might go towards later repairs.They called back with an estimate of almost $1,000 to remove and clean the hubs and $2400 if cleaning didnt work and hub replacement was required. They had decided they would not credit the $149 towards the repair. All day job they told me, up on the rack all day!. Parts would be about a grand. Also, they wanted to do another inspection and service my AC.A few red flags...1. My entire AC system was replaced a few weeks prior, and was working perfect. Another $159 to look at a new AC system????!!2. When hubs and wheel bearings are grinding, spraying a million cans of parts cleaner on them wont magically undo the damage inside. Great way to generate more work for your shop though. Also, first time a shop wanted to charge me for parts cleaner. Even better, they marked the cans up 175%.3. I replaced hubs on a Ford once before and it was a fast, simple job I completed as a DIYer in a parking lot with basic tools... Not an all day job for a pro mechanic in a well equipped shop.4. Ford 4x4 hubs dont cost $1,000. Not even close.5. The bait and switch with the steep $149 inspection. Even Ford dealers credit their $125 inspection fee towards repairs.I picked up the truck and decided to DIY and see how long the job should really take. Ordered brand new parts online for $150 and replaced everything in a few hours in a dark garage with basic tools and some help from YouTube. 4x4 works great again and Im thankful I trusted my gut and didnt get ripped off.To the owners reply. Your shop has received some great reviews. I have always had great experiences at your shop until now.If you dont credit the absurdly high diagnostic fee, be upfront about it. Dont beat around the bush and say it might. Even BMW dealerships credit their $135 diagnostic fee towards the repair.But you missed the point here. Its not really about doing the work yourself and saving money... This is about not getting ripped off. $2,400 for front hubs on a Ford truck is a rip-off. $1,000 to clean crunchy wheel bearings is a rip-off.

Took my Dodge in for a list of repairs since it sat for 2 years and Big Apple did an excellent job and had my truck back to me right on time. These people have never failed me on getting me back on the road. I take all my vehicles to them.

Came here to get new tires on my ride. I was immediately greeted by a super sweet young lady(i regretfully forgot her name:( ) She was very informative and recommended an alignment to ensure the tread life on the new tires which I really appreciated. Ive been meaning to get an oil change but forgot to ask, they mustve checked my cars service info because they caught it and changed my oil as well. Bad Business. They broke my timming belt cover and wiring case. Also tried to charge me for it. My visit was for a crankshaft sensor replacement. Also the most expensive diagnosis I have ever paid $$$$$$160. Big rip off.

They tried to charge me 3,700 for a water pump because they said it needed a new timing chain as well. I took the car to pep boys to check out and the timing chain is fine. I had pep boys do the work and they only charged me 1,200. Big Apple automotive is all about ripping people off. Not to mention their attitude when I told them I didnt have 3,750 to fix. This place isnt worth your time or money. Even with everything going on all they care about is robbing people.

I needed my car by 2pm due to a doctor appointment. Every one was very accommodating. Dropped off my car at 8am & ready at 10:30. WOW! made my day so much easier!!!

The mechanics are good; however, Big Apple over charges for parts by 300% markup and they’re not up front. I believe they squeeze every cent from their customers for their commission ( I was even charged for parts cleaner and that should be the cost of doing business as a mechanic).Was charged 20$ per plug which I researched and the most expensive plug for a Chevy Malibu 2006 ac Delco is $8.99*6=$53.94; but Big Apple charged me $20 per plug * 6=120$.Also, even the dealer put the diagnostics on the repair cost if u get it repair by them-Big Apple adds it on top of repairs and my problem was in plain site!Other than that work was good.

I took my car in for a requested star smog, it did not pass and Big Apple worked with us to rectify the problem. Finally we had to do a diagnostic. The problem was located, and fixed. Got my car back before I expected.Everything appears to be in great shape.

The customer service is off the charts friendly. They have been very honest with me which for me is less stressful.I had a smog done my 1st visit, and an inspections my 2nd visit. Both visits were good, and If you have AAA you get a discount. They are also very prompt and give good time estimates for how long things will take and when theyll be ready.

We had some concerns in the beginning and it may have been just the luck of the draw. Our work on the Prius went south fast time after time. Eventually I had to put myself in their shoes and reflect humbly before I opened my mouth and spouted off ignorant comments. Fact of the matter is Big Apple does a great job and a great service or they wouldnt have existed this long. They are not perfect just like we are not perfect as consumers so we deal with machinery that does not expect to live forever. Things fall apart, things stop working, things dont always work out right. In the end with patience a communication we worked out a solution thats whats the best answer for both parties. Our Prius had excessive miles as it was in need of a new motor, they found us a great motor installed it, checked everything from top to bottom. They kept the the car long enough to ensure that there was no more bugs- then proceeded to detail our car before they even allowed us to pick it up. The car basically is new and runs great. New air, new battery, new motor... with all thats going on, the uncertainties and the distrust without question its running rampant across our land. I can honestly say Big Apple is Honorable and does a great professional job. They will do anything to ensure your satisfaction and guarantee their work. Great job Big Apple team!!I am sorry for our misunderstanding in the beginnings but grateful that we worked though it. God bless your establishment and each member. I previously had an issue with some work done on my vehicle to where i had something fixed well thats what i thought and so William witch i believe was the owner contacted me and told me they stand by their work and asked if i could bring my vehicle back in to see what exactly is happening well it turns out it was something super simple William said they stand by thier work and he didnt disappointeGreat job BIG APPLE AUTOMOTIVE i will be returning with my other vehicles

Our RV broke down on a Thursday and needed a fuel pump and fuel sensor. The diagnostic charge was $309, which is outrageous, because it took 20 minutes. Everyone was nice, customer service was great, but we were from out of town, I guess that just put a target on our backs. Our estimate was $2500. We had to do it, we never would have made it back home. We had to rent a car to drive home with all of our belongings and our dog. We went back on Tuesday of the next week. After they fixed it, they took it for a test drive and a window fell off the track, so that had to be fixed..another $400. When we finally went to pick up the RV everything looked and sounded fine. But when we went to put gas in the tank the gas started pouring out underneath the RV. They forgot to hook up the hose. This has been a nightmare for us.

What can I say. Went in for a smog test, and had them fix a power steering leak. In and out in about 1.5 hours. Thats what I like about this place over the dealer, quick In and Out. Dealer would have said We can get you an appointment in 4 days. Plan on leaving the vehicle. ...Not!

They were able identify and fix my truck at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. Kept me informed every step of the way. Great staff and great work.

Big Apple Automotive provides a clean, comfortable atmosphere to wait in while they work on your car. The employees are very energetic and enthusiastic unlike most repair shops which I find to be a direct reflection of quality administration. They took my run down, 2003 Chevy Impala with multiple engine and electrical problems, and made her run like she did when I got her. Taking your car anywhere but Big Apple is a mistake. In a nutshell, Big Apple Automotive is a first class business ran by first class people.

Honest mechanic.Went there for an overheating car, they discovered that my radiator was leaking. Told me that the radiator looked pretty new so that it might be warrantied from wherever I had it replaced previously.I had totally forgotten having it replaced so they could have easily replaced it and charged me (a $900 job) and I would have paid it.Instead I will take it back to where it was replaced for a warrantied repair.

Defective parts were under warranty. Big Apple took the vehicle without question and fixed the problem.

I am such a busy man with all 4 kids school and soccer practices so i hardly had any free time to come in but the whole staff at big apple automotive was so friendly and flexible! they made it so easy for an independent soccer dad like me to get help in regards to my car situation. My minivan was having all sorts of problems and they fixed them up right away and now my minivan is running like it was back in 2001 when i got it! A handsome young fellow named Jack was extremely helpful and polite the whole time and he made the experience so great!

I went in for a smog check and was not sure that my RV was ready to get smog so the gentleman there looked at it and he told me it would pass smog and it sure did he did tell me a few things that needed to get fixed without charging me for it and I thank him very much I will definitely go back again

Incredibly helpful and very friendly! I typically avoid going to the mechanic as much as possible as I am pretty handy. I needed a used car that I bought to be inspected and William went above and beyond expectations to help me with what I needed as well as advice for the future. Darrin stayed on top of keeping me updated with what I needed and their progress as well as assisted me with some payment plan options that I didnt end up haveing to take advantage of (Affordable prices 🙂). This is hands down the best automotive repair shop I have been to. The shop is the cleanest shop I have ever seen. My mom even noted that the front office looks like an attorneys office. The back is clean as well. They always have donuts, tea and kurig coffee. Denise, the receptionist, is friendly and helpful. Darren, the mechanic is very informative. The staff works well together as I watched them playfully banter back and forth.As for the repair. I took our van in for an exhaust noise. We had been having a small noise and took it to the place that replaced our catalytic converter a few years ago and they couldnt find the noise after punching a hole in the converter and welding it back. They said we would just have to wait for it to fail. While on vacation we heard a sudden loud noise and immediately had it towed. We took it straight to Big Apple. Within a few hours they called and gave us an estimate for a new catalytic converter. It was going to be a rather expensive repair. Today they called and said they had great news. They were able to repair the noise with a simple fix instead of a replacement! Saved our family over $700! Saved our Christmas. They could have lied and said they replaced the Catalaytic and charged us like so many other dishonest shops would have in my opinion (Ive dealt with my fair share of those shops in the high desert). I have felt from the moment I took my first vehicle there several months ago that this place was honest and had integrity. They now have a customer for life.

Been here several times would give a higher rating if didnt tell me a hundred bucks just to top off the gear oil, when they charge me like 5 bucks to do it before with the oil change, had a different mechanic topper up for free, theyll give you a good job and a good price if they feel like it, theyre just looking out for their pockets. They work on police vehicles and their buddies Vehicles all the time theyre not necessarily worried about the average person that needs a working vehicle that doesnt much money. Have you seen their office nicest place on the Block!!! I just dont trust that

I called the shop on Bear Valley Road in Apple valley, oh boy, I thought perhaps I was on a reality show. The receptionist, who answered my call, I then proceed to tell her the trouble with my car, that I needed to have the timing belt repaired. I give her all the info. make, model, size engine, etc, etc she tells me how would I know the problem? I replied, I had this happen before and I just need an estimate of what it would cost. Her response Fist off how do you mean its the timing belt? I say again Maam I just need an estimate could you give me one over the phone? No I cant she says, I say Is there some one there who could? No youll have to bring the car in so we can see what the problem is (Really when it doesnt run and I just told you over the phone. Overall they wanted to charge for a dianogostic. Thats fine If I was at theyre shop with my car.Unbelievable . I called another shop gave me an estimate over the phone and the car is up and running, they missed out. (I wouldnt recommend this auto repair shop to my friends or family.

I like being treated like family at this shop. So far their work has been very professional. Plus you can get work done faster here, than at your dealer.

The office was very nice and was actually pretty clean. Most auto places you to into are messy and smell terrible. At Big Apple the waiting area is very neat and the receptionist always gives you a warm welcoming. The service time was a lot less then I thought it would be for my particular problem, but Big Apple got it done in a reasonable amount of time and now my car is running better than ever. Overall my experience was superb with no issues. The owner is very nice and tells you straight up what the problem is and what you need. He doesnt try to up sell you or anything he just gives you what you need. Great auto shop and I would recommend this shop to anyone who is having car trouble.
