My son makes his own hot sauce and marinades. He makes superhot stuff. He loves to make jerky. We tried stators. Other retailers but noone would slice the cut of meat we wanted. Overlands not only had same prices as stators but custom sliced top round for me. I cannot believe the quality. I feel we got a family hook up. I will only go to overland now. See pic on how lean and thin they did this for my sons application.

Food is good, but the people are rude. They talk to you like your bothering them, like they dont need you or your business. Maybe Im wrong, and its just the color of my skin.

The Best place for meat. You get what you pay for and Overland is the best. Always getting the best kabobs and sirloin and beef ribs with lots of meat. I would and have recommended Overland Meat Market to all my fam and friends and anyone else whose looking for a great piece of meat...and deli and bread...i can go on and on...

I was tired of buying grocery store meats after moving to the High Desert so I decided to look around. Im glad I found Overland. Casey helped me pick a cut and gave me tips on how to cook it perfectly. The meat was delicious and well-priced. This is my new meat store

Was going to give 1 star but figured i would be generous and give 2 cause the foods good but service is mediocre at best. In a time where mom and pop businesses are struggling you would think service would be a bit better to keep the cash flow coming in. The lady making sandwiches sounds miserable and her attitude reflects that. I have to be seriously wanting a sandwich to come here cause honestly I could pay less at subway and not have the attitude on the side.

Ive been going here off and on for a few years. They have the best quality meat Ive ever had the pleasure to cook. The bacon they sell here is amazing. I personally recommend the jalapeños bacon but the pepper and plain are also good. Everytime I have an event were I want the food to pop I come here for my meat. Just today I picked up meat that I had them slice for me to make jerky (you have to do 3lbs and order in advance). Right away I can tell the quality is amazing and I cant wait to taste the finished product.

I have never posted a review before, it is time. I started shopping at Overland since Dan started his business. I stopped shopping at Overland Meat two year ago because the butcher behind the counter was rude and demeaning. Well I went in today and guess what, some things just do not change. He shows no respect nor common curiosity. Hey new owner I am not the only long time Overland customer who is of the same opinion. Seems your butcher could use some training in customer service before you loose more business. Word of mouth has always been the best advertising. I wont be back.

Their chicken breasts are better than those you will find at the regular store, and the price is also better!They have ground turkey breast without preservatives, which is nice when there is an allergy to rosemary.They also have a nice assortment of deli meats and cheeses.

Its ok. Ordered a few sandwiches. My Turkey sandwich was supposed to have sprouts and Munster cheese and they didnt put it on. Tasted plain, I added stuff to my sandwich when I got home. My husband an sons also said the sandwiches were plain tasting.

Had to change this rating from 5 star to a 1 star. Very rude people and wont even try and talk to you about specialty cuts of meat? Kinda just weird about it!

I really wish the quality of their food had not deteriorated in recent years. Overland used to be my favorite place in town. I’ve tried to go back twice since it changed ownership but both times we got at least one sandwich in our order with moldy bread. I hope it gets better so that I can return to my weekly stop here.

I Goggled delis near Victorville and decided to try Overland, even though some reviews had complaints regarding workers with an attitude. Well, the only complaint after razzing the staff; and, discreetly inspecting the store for cleanliness, was the sub with extra meat was so good, I couldnt stop devouring it! This is the place to go for a PRIME sandwich, or a prime cut of meat. I have paid $5 more for a comparable Italian sub in the Sacramento area.Also, the manager was very nice, even though I tried my best to irritate her.

Love the chelation of meat, and fish, there sandwiches are great tasting, everything was very fresh. There butcher was very attentive, and helpful, there sandwih maker made our sandwiches very nice, they also have top choice meat, 🐠🐟 fish.

After going there for over two decades & supporting new owner, the lady from deli seems to be in charge of the meat section. She was very rude and the atmosphere has now changed accordingly. Sadly, I won’t be back.

Had a great sandwich. It tasted fantastic. Roast beef with Swiss. Unfortunately there is a lot wrong with this place. Display cases look like they havent ever been cleaned. Some of the signs for the meat look the same way. You can see the grime resting on them. Not really sanatary. The selection is ok but not really any better than what you could find in a grocery store. To be fair they have some good things. Also a fantastic beer selection. Last two complaints. They cut corners on the bread. I got sourdough but it hadly tasts of it. Its the cheapest low quality bread I have ever seen. Would be nice to see some home made bread. For the cost of the sandwich its not worth it. Finally when I came in the workers were having a rather unapatizing discussion about womens medical issues. If you get my drift. But Ill end with a good. The decor is great the sandwich was good and I would come back so long as they clean the place up.Pics from today. Its had to get a good shot through glass.Eddit.Desided to give these people a second chance and. Im in the market for a very very expensive cut of meat and this lady there had the worst attitude I have ever seen. I guess they dont a 300 dollar sale.

If it was possible I would give them 0 stars unfortunately Google doesnt have that option. We have been buying our meet at Overland for quite some time, even though their customer service sucks. Their meat is good but they seem to think they can tell us off when we try to buy something and not call a week before order it. What if we dont know a week ahead that we need it?. We smoke brisket and ribs occasionally for competition or cook-offs and once in a while we cook for clients. Sometimes we need our meat for the next day and this people think get mad about that. The butcher thinks he knows it all and that he is always right. Today I call trying to but 4 briskets, but even though he had them he wouldnt sell them to me because hell be out of meat What the heck! Arent they in the business of selling meat? What good is it that their meat is good if they are driving their customers away with their attitude? I will from now on take my business elsewhere I would rather drive down the hill than keep dealing with them. Oh and if they are registered with the BBB I will be making a complaint! 😡

I love everything about this place......the staff is great and the food is the best. Ladies in the deli make you feel like you have known them all your life. The Pastrami Sandwich is my go to and it is AMAZING.

This place has the Best sandwiches in Town. And a meat market attachment to it.Cold or hot sandwiches any kind you want you name it. The Pastrami is my personal best. But they have whatever you want made to order. If your a beer person and like to try different flavors or specialty beers this is the place. JUST GO THERE CHECK IT OUT.THEY HAVE BEEN VOTED BEST FOR YEARS.

Awesome experience! Ive known about this place for 20 years but never went. Im not much of a red meat eater. I thought all they sold was red meat. They have beautiful seafood and fresh poultry. I had a deli sandwich that was amazing and brought home a New York steak and chicken. Just finished dinner...it was wonderful. My meat eater, who is hard to impress, was extremely happy! Thank you for the fabulous service

I went to the deli with my girlfriends for lunch and it was the best sandwich I have ever had. We all loved our sandwiches. I had the Chicken Salad on Squaw, Susie had the Pastrami on Rye (the deli girl recommended it) and it was phenomenal, Tammy had the Italian Sub and Brenda had the BBQ Beef all were good. We each tried a salad and they were all great the potato salad was my favorite. The service was great all the ladies were pleasant and helpful and it was extremely busy when we were there.. Bought a few steaks from the meat dept. on the way out and they were by far the best steaks I have ever bought. After my experience at Overland they have earned themselves a customer for life.

I got a wonderful prime rib roast for Christmas dinner it was exceptional. Going to be trying some other cuts. I usually get my meat from Costco but it doesnt seem to have the quality it once had. So I think Overland Meat Co. Is my go to now.

This is one of my favorite restaurants up here in the high desert. Im a big sandwich guy (been going to Subway for many many years). I really like the quality of the food (Stagecoach sandwich size is perfect!) here. Just walking in you get a very unique view of different beers from around the world including hot sauces. The restaurant is very very small so unless you come during off hours get the order to go. Around the corner youll see a very large variety of meats being sold - the people working the meats counter are really friendly and take time to help you order (even if its from the beer fridge). Parking is very limited and the restaurant is very small - but the food is amazing - definitely recommend.

We buy many types of beef, pork and seafood items at Overland and are very happy with the high quality for many years. New owner has brought in many new hard to find items that are great. The deli is super and the best in the valley.

Great place for butcher and he is friendly...... but the deli lady can be rude. This was my 2nd time with her helping me, the first time I didnt write a review but this time...... it was 15 after 4 and I called in my order. When I get there to pick up my order she acted like it was a inconvenience to get some potato salad, then was just plan rude after that. I dont mind paying for there overpriced items, but I do want friendly service.

Theres nothing bad to say about this place. I have been coming here for years, and go for beer, and food. I will also be purchasing my meat here, as its a place where you can get non steroid, grass fed etc meat. They have specialty beer here that isnt advertised, which is great because the city is so small its nice not to go far. The beer is some hard to find or rare beers with great pricing. About $10 to mix and match a 6 pack. The sandwiches are fresh and the staff is very sweet.

The quality and taste of the meat is amazing but the man at the meat counter is extremely rude! So sad that they have a terrible attitude because the meat is so good.

The Butcher shop is great, the Deli is great however I have to give the whole establishment 1 star as I also got horrible service from a Large Heavy set lady. My kids wanted a sandwich with roasted chicken, swiss and pepperoni. The lady gave me this look like, Are you serious I was like yes thats what they want. She started to open the drawer to get the Pepperoni out and instead closed it and said they were out of it. Then my oldest child suggested I use Salami instead. You should of seen her face. She was so annoyed that she had her staff prepare it instead. What is this? Is she going to eat it? No what is her problem? Horrendous customer service and not kid friendly. What a shame since the rest of the staff is nice.

Kim (who was working the sandwich counter) was very friendly and recommended two different sub that way we could both enjoy each others half.. I highly recommend coming here to enjoy whatever it is on the menu that catches your eye.. I cant wait to come back with the husband and pick out a HUGE slab of delicious looking MEAT!! This is one of my favorite sandwich places to go to so I decided to go for a large order for a party at work, the customer service was terrible the lady with the black hair behind the sandwich counter really needs to learn how to talk to her customers I won’t be back .

I met a friend for lunch at this deli and it was surprisingly quaint. Sandwiches are very good. Love the fresh bread. Its a refreshing change from the chain sandwich shops. Service was friendly, but not fast.

Best pastrami in town but the Italian sub was a total disappointment, Very skimpy meat mostly bread. And they werent happy my husband showed up to get 3 sandwiches at 4:44 and made it known they were upset about it ... wow such customer service is appalling

Ive had the sandwhiches here before and are great, some may say its pricey but its honestly quality meats and breads/ cheeses, if you want to pay 5 dollars for frozen meats sandwich there always a chain sub place nearby. I decided to try a Rib Steak to cook at home from their meat selection, right away you see the difference in quality and marbeling. Long story short It was a delicious cut of meat. Service was great and kind. Will return for short ribs!! They are huge!. Thank you OMC.

Crappy CRAPPY service. First time I was in there they said no coffee when, blatantly, it was on the menu. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, the order taker said I couldnt get lettuce, tomato, etc on it. Gave it a second try today...MISTAKE. I asked for mayo and tomato on the side. She said what I dont like tomato? Apparently theyre prepackaged and they come with what they come with. After all that I didnt even get tomato on the sandwich.These people need to be retrained on customer service. They should go out of business due to their crappy service. I wont be going back and I wont refer anyone.

We got half a pound of pastrami, roast beef and some other meat i cant pronounce and it was all delicious especially the pastrami. We will definitely go back again and avain.
